Almost 80% of cases occurred in developing countries. One of the most common symptoms of cervical cancer is abnormal bleeding, but in some cases there may be no obvious symptoms until the cancer has progressed with this aim the study was conducted to assess the Effectiveness of Information, Education, Communication Regarding Cervical Cancer on Knowledge among Women. For the pilot study 24 women who fulfill the inclusion criteria with cervical cancer were allotted to control, experimental II, experimental I group respectively (8+8+8). For the main study totally 225 women with cervical cancer were selected for control, experimental II and experimental I group respectively (75+75+75). included total of 24 women aged between 31 and 65 years across 10 independent studies. The included studies were hospital and community based cross sectional studies. Majority women were married, and the illiteracy rate ranged from 25% to 50%. Studies included in review concluded that in women still lack in appropriate knowledge and attitude toward Cervical Cancer and screening techniques due to low literacy rate. This case study showed that age, 31-65 education, Occupation and Family history of cervical cancers were significant factors independently associated with adequacy of knowledge, attitude, and practice of Cervical Cancer screening.","PeriodicalId":13777,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Current Microbiology and Applied Sciences","volume":"25 2","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-01-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140510915","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, community-acquired cases, especially in young, healthy individuals, are rare. We present a case study of a 23-year-old female patient with severe Klebsiella pneumonia, has been experiencing recurrent and persistent fever, shortness of breath, weakness, pain in legs and anorexia for the past 3 months and was suspected of having an eating disorder and vomiting. Based on physical, biochemical, CT scan and blood culture, the patient was diagnosed Klebsiella infection. Abdomen sonography report reveals mild Hepatosplenomegaly with liver mildly enlarged and spleen mildly enlarged. The patient was admitted to the hospital and initiated on intravenous antibiotics (Ciprofloxacin and Doxycycline) and fever management. The patient responded well to treatment, with resolution of fever and respiratory distress. After discharge, the patient was advised to follow up for further evaluation. But after a week, she was again affected by fever and diagnosed with lymphadenopathy. Timely diagnosis, appropriate antibiotic therapy, and supportive care can lead to favourable outcomes.","PeriodicalId":13777,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Current Microbiology and Applied Sciences","volume":"55 13","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-01-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140511094","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Early diagnosis and properly administered treatment regimen are the key elements to combat Tuberculosis and its transmission. Rapid molecular methods have been recommended for early detection of drug resistant Tuberculosis. This study aimed to analyze the mutation band pattern in rpoB, inhA, katG gene of drug resistant pulmonary tuberculosis through Hybridization technique using Genotype MTBDR plus V.2 assay in Western Rajasthan. Positive sputum samples were collected from MDR/ Mono DR Patients. Sputum decontamination was performed after the quality assurance then DNA extraction, amplification, hybridization and band pattern analysis of line probe assay strips was performed as per manufacturer’s instructions by GenoType MTBDRplus kit from Hain Lifescience. Out of 215 study participants, 174 (80.9%) were male and 41 (19%) were female, with a mean age group of 41 years, where (146/215; 67.9%) were rural dwellers. 56.2% of the population was sensitive to both the drug (Rifampicin and Isoniazid). Of the 215 isolates, 12 (5.58%) were hetero-resistant to both RIF and INH i.e. the overall proportion of MDR-TB was 12 (5.58%) There were 6 isolates (2.79%) mono-resistant to RIF and 16 isolates (7.44%) mono-resistant to INH. In rpoB gene, WT 7 (2%) and WT 8 (7.2%) band were the most common band to be absent. In katG gene, MUT 1 band showed maximum mutation (14.9%). In inhA gene, WT 1 band was most common band to be absent (4.6%) and MUT 1 band showed 2.5% of mutation. In the present study analysis of MUT 2 band of rpoB, katG and inhA genes did not show any presence. High frequencies of mutations in rpoB, inhA, and katG gene by LPA were observed. The most common resistance-conferring mutations to RIF occurred at rpoB gene with absence of band WT8 and presence of MUT3 band. In katG gene absence of WT1 and presence of MUT1 band was most common pattern of mutation and in inhA gene, WT1 band was prominently absent.","PeriodicalId":13777,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Current Microbiology and Applied Sciences","volume":"6 6","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-01-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140511603","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Even after the emergence of Omics and several such splendid bioinformatics tools, a substantial number of researchers need to become more familiar with these tools. This review focuses on the applications of various in silico tools and technologies that may be adopted to analyse the plant sciences. The understanding of these different technologies shall lead us to a better understanding of plant properties such as stress tolerance, pathogenic resistance nutritional improvement. We are also converging thoughts on different trials and constraints in plant sciences in connection with the bioinformatics approach.","PeriodicalId":13777,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Current Microbiology and Applied Sciences","volume":"44 10","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-01-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140511236","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

As iron deficiency continues to be a complex intricacy, WHO estimated that 52% of the population in India is anguished with anemia. It provides an information of iron fortification with spice blends and thus introduces a sequence of articles in this context, to delineate the current affirmation of fortification of iron with spice blends and also reviews our current knowledge of deficiency of anemia among children, women and men and the method used for iron fortification. In this case, to reach the recommended dietary allowance of iron in Indian diet, a tamarind based Indian diet Rasam was preferred, as tamarind is acidic in nature which enhances iron absorption. It summarizes the optimization of fortification of iron in Indian diets and the evaluation of iron proportion in control samples, fortified spice blends, ferrous salts and the sensory attributes of fortified spice blends. Subsequently spice blends with higher percent of iron in ferrous sulfate and ferrous fumarate was chosen, since the results showed significant higher values that ferrous fumarate with 1% of dosage had a higher proportion of iron and more palatable sensory characteristics than ferrous sulfate.","PeriodicalId":13777,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Current Microbiology and Applied Sciences","volume":"25 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-08-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139351214","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The present study was undertaken with per hectare costs and returns of Bajra production and resource use efficiency of inputs. The factors affecting yield of Bajra production were estimated by using the Cobb-Douglas type production function. The data pertained to the agricultural year 2020-21. The study revealed that per hectare cost of cultivation was Rs.23858.83. Average per hectare gross income was Rs. 33358.50. The benefit-cost ratio was 1.40 at overall level which indicated that Bajra production in the study area is profitable. The functional analysis was also carried out by using Cobb-Douglas type of production function. The appropriateness of estimated model and the variable incorporated in model were tested by estimating R2 value. The result of Cobb-Douglas production function revealed that male labour, female labour, manure, Nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, irrigation charges and plant protection charges were found significant thereby influencing the productivity of Bajra. The resource use efficiency results revealed that there is scope for increasing the use of Manure, Nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, irrigation charges and plant protection charges for Bajra production to obtain higher gross returns.","PeriodicalId":13777,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Current Microbiology and Applied Sciences","volume":"10 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-08-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139351047","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Among various species of insect pests we were recorded only 8 insect pest of mango crop during this experimental period, among them, only five major insect pest infestation was sever during this period viz., Thrips (Scirtothrips dorsalis Hood, Rhipiphorothrips cruentatus Hood), fruit fly (Bactrocera dorsalis and B. correcta) and leaf webber (Orthaga euadrusalis Walker). At some point we were documented 05 natural enemies (spiders, coccinellids, chrysopids, dragonfly and mantid) on mango tree at different crop growth stages. Amongst, spider and coccinellids remained active throughout the year. All the insect pests were either significant or non-significant but positively associated with each other except for leaf webber who was negatively correlated with thrips, fruit fly, termite, spiders and coccinellids. And highly significant positive correlation was found between the natural enemies’ viz., spiders and coccinellids in the mango crop ecosystem.","PeriodicalId":13777,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Current Microbiology and Applied Sciences","volume":"195 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-08-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139351114","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
