The review looked at 30 samples from 15 (n=15) academic databases, and found that the recent learning analytics research typically used web-based applications, Web 2.0 tools, dashboard and visualization tools, and eye-tracking devices. These technological tools, such as learning management systems and social networking websites, are widely employed in order to facilitate online learning and communication as well as to analyze and visualize data for informed decision-making. One of the practical implications of this research for learning analytics stakeholders, such as educators, policymakers, and researchers, is the ability to use these technologies tools to enhance teaching and learning. By utilizing these tools, policymakers can learn information that can be applied to the development of strategies and policies relating to the integration of technology in education. Researchers can utilize these tools to generate data that will aid in the study of teaching and learning, which will lead to the development of new teaching strategies and technological advancements. Stakeholders must establish appropriate policies and practices, be aware of the potential risks and limitations associated with their usage, and work to ensure that these tools are used in the classroom in an ethical and efficient manner. This study shows, in general, how effectively these technological tools can enhance teaching and learning when used in educational settings.","PeriodicalId":13770,"journal":{"name":"International journal of Asian social science","volume":"184 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-10-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135618778","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

To mitigate these, governments enact legislation and regulations, potentially hindering international food trade. The FAO and WHO established the Codex Alimentarius Committee in 1963 with the goal of harmonizing international food standards, guidelines, and moral behavior for consumer health and fair trade. This paper analyzes the economic impact of Codex certification on Kimchi trade in Korea. Before Codex, various non-standardized versions of kimchi were marketed globally. The implementation codex standards serve to mitigate these disparities by establishing a standardized global norm. The examination of multivariate import and export demand functions investigates the impact of the codex on the trade dynamics of kimchi. The findings indicate a notable rise in kimchi exports to Japan and an increase in imports from China, resulting in benefits for multiple nations. The analysis employs regression models with variables like export prices, GDP per capita, financial crisis dummies, and Codex accreditation. Findings show Codex significantly increases Korean Kimchi exports by 7,096 metric tonnes annually and Chinese Kimchi imports by 99,628 metric tonnes yearly. This highlights Codex's potential to foster international trade and enhance consumer trust. In conclusion, Codex standards offer a robust framework for safe international trade while ensuring consumer safety and promoting market growth. The study provides insights into the economic implications of Codex standards for global food trade.","PeriodicalId":13770,"journal":{"name":"International journal of Asian social science","volume":"9 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-10-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135646142","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Escalating global attention has fueled fresh scientific inquiry into these areas, driven by their paramount importance in addressing pressing issues. This paper explores into the intersection of these concerns, which particularly emphasizing the supply chains of ocean resources, which have gained prominence due to the escalating effects of climate change. The changing climate exacerbates the vulnerabilities of oceanic food sources, compounding the urgency of understanding this nexus. To illuminate this complex landscape, the paper employs a comprehensive approach, encompassing a systematic literature review spanning seven years, 2017 and 2023. A dataset of 28 research papers sourced from the Scopus and WoS databases provides the foundation for this analysis. Through content analysis, thematic areas are identified, allowing for the identification of key trends and concerns within the literature. The results of this study extend beyond mere data trends; they encompass geographical distributions and reveal three overarching themes that encapsulate the study's focal areas: the blue economy, food security, and ocean governance. In essence, this research contributes to a deeper comprehension of the intricate interplay between the blue economy and food security, shedding light on the multifaceted challenges that must be tackled to achieve sustainable growth in the face of evolving climate dynamics and increasing global demands.","PeriodicalId":13770,"journal":{"name":"International journal of Asian social science","volume":"38 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-10-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135745099","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Therefore, policies that aid in increasing school enrollment and completion rates among the poor are essential for poverty alleviation. Despite the fact that primary school enrollment rates in developing countries have increased, there remains a significant gap in school completion rates. This study focuses on the decisions individuals make regarding completing their education to obtain future job-related skills. We clarify factors that increase school enrollment and completion rates and indicate the effectiveness and priority of policies to increase the rates through a simple model. Our findings suggest that school policies have limited impact on increasing school enrollment and completion rates, particularly among the poor, who tend to have a high discount rate for the future and focus on the current situation. Therefore, policies that aim to reduce their discount rate should be prioritized. Moreover, we found that extending learning hours at school has a negative impact on the school completion rates of students from poor families. Therefore, policies aimed at improving individual learning environments are effective in increasing rates, especially for the poor. These findings have important implications for policymakers and education practitioners seeking to improve education outcomes and alleviate poverty, especially in developing countries.","PeriodicalId":13770,"journal":{"name":"International journal of Asian social science","volume":"47 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135248159","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
