To make our system effective for solving the issues of \"vulnerable road users\" mainly elderly people, active participation of young people is essential because most of the resources of skills will be provided by young people. The analysis of the previous work unveiled a trend of the youth consciousness about skill sharing in their local community but also showed the limitation of Quantification Method Type II. Therefore, in this paper, in order to discuss the continuity of our system as a business, we conducted an attitude survey on young people's awareness of resource sharing at their local community and analyzed it with Bayesian network. From the experimental result, we confirmed the findings of the previous research and further clarified the relationship between the factors which we could not clarify so far. In addition, we conducted numerical experiments using the constructed Bayesian network, obtained results that support several hypotheses, and revealed factors that have a strong influence on the use of MASS.","PeriodicalId":136474,"journal":{"name":"2019 8th International Congress on Advanced Applied Informatics (IIAI-AAI)","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126568997","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

First criteria are called primary data and secondary criteria are called secondary data. We define primary data as those that are not linear combination data, and secondary data as a linear combination of primary data. For example, at the macro-level, primary data are correct and incorrect answers to a question in an examination or students' attendance and absence from a lecture. At the macro-level, secondary data are the total points in an examination or students' total attendance in and absence from a lecture. At the meso-level, secondary data are student records of lectures as well as grade point average, or rank, in the annual record of the university. Primary data are mainly constructed by faculty while secondary data are constructed by administrative staff. To compare primary and secondary data, collaboration between faculty and administrative staff is important.","PeriodicalId":136474,"journal":{"name":"2019 8th International Congress on Advanced Applied Informatics (IIAI-AAI)","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125309569","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It is to control the radiant temperature of a room in advance by controlling wind directions of an air conditioner. It has been investigated how the fixed wind direction control of the air conditioner causes the radiation temperature non-uniformity in the room. Reinforcement learning is used as a method to solve it, the effectiveness of which has been verified in the residential environment. Here, thermography is adopted as a sensor for acquiring the state. The proposed method has reduced the nonuniformity of radiation temperature in the room more than the random and normal control. The feature of this study is that all learning and verifications are performed in a real environment, and image data is taken as an input value.","PeriodicalId":136474,"journal":{"name":"2019 8th International Congress on Advanced Applied Informatics (IIAI-AAI)","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121862885","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

UML defines a complex set of linked notations and mastery requires instruction and examples over many taught courses. Such examples are typically disparate, modelling subsets of distinct systems. Teaching UML benefits from an end-to-end approach where consistency between modelling, design and implementation are equally emphasised and regular feedback is provided. A drawback of this is that assessing learner-derived UML models is a time-intensive and error-prone task if both formative and summative assessment is required. In this paper a novel framework is presented for the automated assessment of UML. The framework allows learners to be provided with automatically generated formative feedback for self-directed learning in the development of UML skills. Emphasis is placed upon the identification of the consistency and coverage of learner diagrams as this is an important skill in the application of UML. By integrating an implementation of this framework, instructor-based UML teaching can be supplemented with an end-to-end tool which allows learners to receive automated formative feedback in their understanding and usage of UML.","PeriodicalId":136474,"journal":{"name":"2019 8th International Congress on Advanced Applied Informatics (IIAI-AAI)","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115892790","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, it is reported that there are many faculties who feel uneasy about the course of study. There is VR (Virtual Reality) as a method of observing CG (computer Graphics) at the present actual scale. Therefore, in this study, we made VR teaching materials for hip-hop dance learners. We decided to listen to the opinions of dancer learners using prepared VR teaching materials. As a result, 15 students gave their opinions on VR materials. 14 students thought that VR materials could be used for dance practice and 1 student thought it was difficult. A lot of students on VR teaching materials said they could use it for dancing practice. The reason was that the movements of hip - hop were particularly easier to understand. This was considered to be an enlightened awareness of CG where information has been reduced. Less information may give beginners more awareness to improve their hip-hop dance.","PeriodicalId":136474,"journal":{"name":"2019 8th International Congress on Advanced Applied Informatics (IIAI-AAI)","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130193260","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In scoring such a student program, the teacher needs to evaluate not only the degree of program achievement but also which way the program achieve the requirements. In order to solve such problems, we propose a supporting method to evaluate the program using \"prog2vec\", which is software that converts a program into its feature vector representation. Specifically, our method estimates whether a programming problem needs certain ways to achieve its purpose or not. The input of the method is a set of the programs that are made as answer for the problem. If the method estimates that specific ways are needed to achieve the given problem, it also visualizes these programing ways in structural graph representation. In this way, our proposed method helps teachers that have a lot of and various answers for a programming problem to define evaluation criteria for those answers.","PeriodicalId":136474,"journal":{"name":"2019 8th International Congress on Advanced Applied Informatics (IIAI-AAI)","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134536932","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

One way to meet those demands is to monitor and manage industrial, commercial as well as residential electrical loads efficiently in response to demand response programs for Demand-Side Management (DSM). Compared with energy management systems, Non-Intrusive Load Monitoring (NILM), a cost-effective technique, deduces used electrical appliances from a measured total load according to the individual characteristics. This paper presents an NILM system based on Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) for DSM, which is considered as a combinatorial optimization problem. The PSO-based load disaggregation presented in this paper is evaluated in a real house environment. As the experimentation reported in this paper shows, the presented NILM approach gave an average load identification rate of 64.06%.","PeriodicalId":136474,"journal":{"name":"2019 8th International Congress on Advanced Applied Informatics (IIAI-AAI)","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134102750","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The program adopts Student Emotional Quotient (SEQ) as a supportive system of the assessment of educational quality. We have reported the result of SEQ for the Japanese Nitobe School students who entered the program in academic year (AY) 2015 previously. This paper reports the results of SEQ for the Japanese students enrolled in AY 2016. We compared the score of AY 2016 students with AY 2015, and found the variation of score in AY 2016 is smaller than AY 2015. On the other hand, the SEQ score of students who dropped out Nitobe School showed a characteristic shape in AY 2016, compared with AY 2015. So, we classified the dropped out students into \"withdrawals\" and \"ghost\" and analyzed each group SEQ score to clarify the reason of dropout. The results of this analysis showed the \"withdrawals\" left the program because they could not stand up and overcome the initial phase of team-building, and the \"ghost\" acted a lot to advance teamworking but seem to be suffered from such effort. We found SEQ can be used to detect such hidden suffering students by analyzing the result of SEQ earlier.","PeriodicalId":136474,"journal":{"name":"2019 8th International Congress on Advanced Applied Informatics (IIAI-AAI)","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131512302","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Visually impaired learners have difficulty in verifying their answers on their own with conventional software tools. Hence, the answer verification system is designed to provide feedback to the learners with respect to the numbers of errors in their answers, the error locations, and the reasons behind the errors. The messages output from our system can be read out by a screen reader, and our system can treat various kinds of problem-solving exercises of a spreadsheet software. We conducted an evaluation study of our system both with the teachers and the students to assess its usability and functionality. Based on the results of this study, we generated an improved version of our system, which is also described here.","PeriodicalId":136474,"journal":{"name":"2019 8th International Congress on Advanced Applied Informatics (IIAI-AAI)","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130986519","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
