The process to select these variables is usually based on a “brute force” approach, where all available event features are tested for multiple combinations of the algorithm hyperparameters. In this work, we propose an original method based on the use of a CancelOut layer to select to give as input to a Fully Connected Neural Network. Strickland","doi":"10.22323/1.380.0225","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.22323/1.380.0225","url":null,"abstract":"The interest in the thermodynamics of supersymmetric Yang-Mills started after Maldacena proposed the duality between string theory on AdS backgrounds and the large-N limit of SYM theories. One of the motivations to study the thermal properties of ${cal N}=4$ supersymmetric Yang-Mills in four dimensions (SYM$_{4,4}$) is that at high temperatures, the weak-coupling limit of this theory has many similarities with high temperature quantum chromodynamics (QCD). In this proceedings contribution, we review recent calculations of the resummed perturbative free energy of ${cal N}=4$ supersymmetric Yang-Mills in four spacetime dimensions through second order in the 't Hooft coupling $lambda$ at finite temperature and zero chemical potential. Taking hadron decay contributions into account, we show that the isospin symmetry is held for unpolarized Λ fragmentation functions. Only tiny violations are allowed for the polarized Λ fragmentation functions. We show that the recent Belle data on the transverse polarization of Λ can be reproduced if the isospin symmetry is kept in the parameterization of the corresponding polarized fragmentation functions. There is a 4.6σ (9.5 s) discrepancy between the results of the two typical methods. To solve this discrepancy, a new neutron lifetime experiment with a different method is in progress at J-PARC, and this experiment published the first result in 2020 of 898±10(stat.) +15/−18(syst.) s. We have performed improvements to reduce systematic uncertainties towards 1 s accuracy.
