In this paper, we discuss the composition of the communication system that can satisfy ad hoc network which node in this network has high speed (more than 100m/s), and long distance (10km-40km) to each other. Since the project is used in reality, the system design should be based on more mature mechanisms. We analysis the several popular technical in ad hoc network and use some of it to build a system which consist of several mechanisms, Directional Antenna and Multi-Interface and Multi-Channel in physical layer to get higher gain, TDMA in MAC layer, AODV in router layer, all working provide a complete system solution. The simulation results show our scheme can be satisfied the specific scenarios of ad hoc networking between the high speed air vehicles with directional antenna.","PeriodicalId":135328,"journal":{"name":"2016 12th International Conference on Mobile Ad-Hoc and Sensor Networks (MSN)","volume":"23 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116251239","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Currently, most of the existing systems focus on the recognition of a single keystroke and they are limited by several restrictions. In this paper, we consider the idea of signal variation caused by the combination of two combined keystrokes, and propose an acoustic-based scheme that can detect the combined keystrokes effectively. Our system exploits the blind signal separation technique to deal with the mixed signals, resultant from typing two separate keys simultaneously. Then, we apply feature extraction and pattern recognition algorithms to recognize the combined keystrokes. Extensive experiments have been conducted in a laboratory environment with mobile phones equipped with two microphones. Our results show that for several combinations of two keystrokes, on average, we can achieve 78.4% recognition accuracy.","PeriodicalId":135328,"journal":{"name":"2016 12th International Conference on Mobile Ad-Hoc and Sensor Networks (MSN)","volume":"39 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114387506","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Compared with the traditional control system, the control in CPS is very difficult because the communication networks inevitably introduce variable time delays and possible lost of samples. In Networked Control System(NCS), there are some related works to discuss the problem of time delay. However it still needs to evaluate and improve those existing schemes in CPS. In this paper, a novel dynamic timeout scheme and actuator compensation by using a hidden Markov model for the time delay to reduce the influence of random time delays has been proposed. Simulation results on TrueTime 2.0 demonstrate the feasibility and effectiveness of this networked real-time control strategy.","PeriodicalId":135328,"journal":{"name":"2016 12th International Conference on Mobile Ad-Hoc and Sensor Networks (MSN)","volume":"24 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127414339","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The major challenge of implementing such protocol lies in the difficulty of slot assignment. Previous works provide a variety of mechanisms to implement the collision-free slot assignment. However, when network topology changes frequently, existing approaches suffer from low throughput due to the waste of idle slots. In this paper, we propose a novel distributed TDMA protocol called HD-MAC to improve the throughput performance under high dynamic change of network topology. Specifically, we come up with a frame structure with fixed length and establish a network join principle regarding the slot assignment for the newly added node, which avoid the overhead of maintaining extra frame length information among nodes. In addition, we adopt a contention-based channel access mechanism for enhancing the utilization of the idle slots, thus increasing the overall throughput. Finally, simulation results are demonstrated to validate the effectiveness of HD-MAC.","PeriodicalId":135328,"journal":{"name":"2016 12th International Conference on Mobile Ad-Hoc and Sensor Networks (MSN)","volume":"30 5 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125808985","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The Roadside Service Unit plays the role of Local Controller and is in charge of selecting vehicles to forward packet within a road segment. All the vehicles state in the road. Correspondingly, a two-level design is used. Global Level is distributed and adopts a ranked query scheme to collect vehicle information and determine the road segments along which a message should be forwarded. And the Local Level is in charge of selecting forwarding vehicles in each road segment determined by the global level. We compare SVAO with popular ad-hoc network routing protocols, including OLSR, DSR, DSDV, and DB via simulations. We consider the impact of vehicle density, speed on data transmission rate and average packet delay. The simulation results show that in case of large network scales or high vehicle speed, SVAO performs better than the others.","PeriodicalId":135328,"journal":{"name":"2016 12th International Conference on Mobile Ad-Hoc and Sensor Networks (MSN)","volume":"54 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125180357","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this setting, sensing data quality has been the primary focus of widespread adoption of many systems. To encourage more participants to contribute high-quality data, many incentive mechanisms have been proposed to motivate them. Unfortunately, this brings about some other new issues. Firstly, the application server must have to analyze and process a large-scale of sensing data for the incentives, but most of them might not satisfy the essential data requirements. Moreover, the application server cannot determine whether those important data originate from the legal participants, thus has to check at the expense of efficiency loss. Even worse, since anyone who knows the sensing task can report sensing data, the application server would face the denial-of-service attacks from malicious participants. In this paper, we propose a Quality-aware Attribute-based Filtering (QAFilter) scheme to address these problems. In QAFilter, the application server can distribute a Receiver Filtering Policy along with the sensing task, so that only the participants whose data quality satisfies the policy can report sensing data to the server. Furthermore, in order to maintain the data confidentiality, the participant can encrypt the sensing data under his requirement such that only the receivers who hold the related attributes can decrypt it. In particular, the costs of computation and communication are constant and independent of the number of required data attributes, thus making our scheme more adapt to personal mobile devices and the wireless network environment. Our security analysis and experiment evaluation demonstrate the presented scheme’s security strength and performance efficiency, respectively.","PeriodicalId":135328,"journal":{"name":"2016 12th International Conference on Mobile Ad-Hoc and Sensor Networks (MSN)","volume":"63 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128402387","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The proposed framework leverages the inference channels in sensitive behavior prediction and object tracking in a video surveillance system for the sequence privacy protection. For such a goal, we need to capture different pieces of evidence which are used to infer the identity. The temporal, spatial and context features are extracted from the surveillance video as the observations to perceive the privacy demands and their correlations. Taking advantage of quantifying various evidence and utility, we let users subscribe videos with a viewer-dependent pattern. We implement a prototype system for off-line and on-line requirements in two typical monitoring scenarios to construct extensive experiments. The evaluation results show that our system can efficiently satisfy users' privacy demands while saving over 25% more video information compared to traditional video privacy protection schemes.","PeriodicalId":135328,"journal":{"name":"2016 12th International Conference on Mobile Ad-Hoc and Sensor Networks (MSN)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129496132","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In order to relieve user's concerns for privacy leakage, privacy preserving mechanisms have to be applied to enable the aggregator to compute aggregate statistics without learning each individual data. Although the aggregator will not know the value of the data, it is necessary to ensure the (semantic) validity of the data contributed by users. In this work, we design a privacy-preserving protocol for an aggregator to compute corrected aggregated statistics over users' data that can both preserve user's privacy and verify the semantic validity of the data. We evaluated our protocol on real-world dataset and demonstrated the efficiency of our protocol.","PeriodicalId":135328,"journal":{"name":"2016 12th International Conference on Mobile Ad-Hoc and Sensor Networks (MSN)","volume":"42 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127613326","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A modified particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm is proposed to tackle the problem, with the concept of path-relinking (PR) integrated into the evolutionary framework. As an efficient local search heuristic that makes use of problem-specific domain knowledge, PR helps strike a better balance between global exploration and local exploitation for the evolutionary search. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed algorithm overweighs a number of existing and commonly used evolutionary algorithms (EAs) in terms of the solution quality, convergence, and computational time.","PeriodicalId":135328,"journal":{"name":"2016 12th International Conference on Mobile Ad-Hoc and Sensor Networks (MSN)","volume":"201 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134227349","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Especially in the modern warfare environment, the time consumption of neighbor discovery is very important for holding the battlefield situation. In this paper, we address the problem of neighbor discovery in ad hoc network with double-face phased array radar. And we take advantage of double-face phased array radar to improve the efficiency of neighbor discovery. Unlike former researches on single beam directional antenna, double beam directional antenna is introduced to our system. However, the direction of the antenna has been limited to two exclusive ranges due to the structure of double-face phased array radar. Obviously, the performance of the system which is in half duplex working mode can be better than the same one using single beam antenna. Thus we compare our system with the one using single beam antenna which is in full duplex mode. The experiential results show that the performance of neighbor discovery using double-face phased array radar in half duplex working mode is about 5 times better than the one using single beam directional antenna in full duplex working mode with the same algorithm.","PeriodicalId":135328,"journal":{"name":"2016 12th International Conference on Mobile Ad-Hoc and Sensor Networks (MSN)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130104414","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
