It also sought to examine consumer’s purchase intention (PI) of this product using those variables. The methodology which is used to analyse the data obtained is using an exploratory quantitative approach. The data evaluated by Partial Least Square – Structural Equation Model (PLS-SEM). This study used purposive sampling techniques to determine the sample of employees who work in Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, and Bekasi (Jabodetabek), Indonesia. The outcomes indicate that all these factors contribute to purchase intention of this green beauty and body care product. This study is also found that GBP has a positive direct contribution to AGB, GBK, and PI. Originality and practical implications from this study are that, the green product companies must pay attention to the brand positioning because it would alter consumer’s attitude and intention towards of green products. Thus, companies should focus more on developing promotional messages that are more directed towards sustainable values or optimizing communities that support sustainability lifestyles. More deeply, eco-friendly beauty and body care products are very widely used today, so the results of this research are expected to contribute in terms of how can customer’s intensions are increased in buying these products.","PeriodicalId":134894,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Applied Economics, Finance and Accounting","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-02-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129814890","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

They can be divided into three main categories and all of them are referred to as meat manufacturing firms. The study of their main financial indexes is profitability, market share, and capital intensity. Capital intensity does not show stability in the turnover of these firms during the last years, while recovery points are seen after the covid 19 pandemic period increasing their competitiveness level. On the other hand, the competitiveness of these companies constitutes a crucial matter for all the firms as it is a guide for the selection of their proper strategy. As a result, the competitiveness estimation of these firms as a basic factor for the choice of the proper strategy acquires great importance and constitutes the aim of the present paper. Following the financial indexes methodology, the competitiveness estimation takes place with two equations using profitability and market share as dependent variables. The primary findings demonstrate how profitability, market share, and capital intensity affect the competitiveness of meat production enterprises, supporting the several strategies that these firms may choose to employ.","PeriodicalId":134894,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Applied Economics, Finance and Accounting","volume":"24 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-02-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133636441","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

By applying the Markov switching model, the cyclical nature of the numbers of additional confirmed COVID-19 cases and deaths are verified on daily basis. So, these two factors are assumed to follow the Ornstein–Uhlenbeck process. Then, we estimate parameters to establish the structural characteristics of post-pandemic era and the start of post-pandemic era. In order to clarify these two issues, we use vector autoregression for testing the related macrocosmic and financial variables and BTC. Systematic evidences are provided regarding the relationships among BTC, related macrocosmic, related financial variables, related COVID-19 variables. Our findings provide a useful insight into currency competition and commodity competition on the basis of the impulse response of BTC to US dollar fluctuation and the impulse response of BTC to expected inflation and volatility in the post-pandemic era. These findings indicate increased currency competition between Bitcoin and the US dollar in the post-pandemic era. Therefore, currency competition should be more valued than Commodity Competition in the post-pandemic era. This provides a useful guideline for Bitcoin’s management.","PeriodicalId":134894,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Applied Economics, Finance and Accounting","volume":"158 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-02-17","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132219922","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The data was collected from companies that published the right issue (RI) from 2000 to 2019 and listed on Indonesia Stock Exchange. The companies which were used as sample, they had leverage higher than 1. The hypothesis was examined using two types of regression analysis: ordinary least squares regression to examine cross-section and Fama-McBeth regression for testing the panel data. The results of this research uncovered the persistent effect of equity market timing on the capital structure using BL and ML at RI+1, RI+2, RI+3, RI+4, RI+5, and in total, from RI+1 to RI+5. Moreover,a two-pair sample t-test was used to analyze the issuance of new shares or new debt. The results revealed that when RI+1 used ML and RI+3 used BL and ML, the company issued new shares (NEI) in large numbers, so debt issues (NDI) decreased. Further, this research is beneficial for companies to determine the right time during a rights issue to obtain a high share price so that the cost of share capital remains low.","PeriodicalId":134894,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Applied Economics, Finance and Accounting","volume":"6 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-02-13","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131722425","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Concentration processes with enormous dynamism are taking place at all stages of the supply chain. The trend is towards global players: companies are getting bigger through mergers and displacing the competition. Through their sales or purchasing policies, they are promoting a type of agriculture in which the focus is on increasing productivity and market share augmentation in the supply chain. The purpose of this research was to look into mergers that have occurred among companies in the agribusiness sector and provide useful insights from Greece. This study examined mergers in the agribusiness sector using a questionnaire distributed among employees of food companies and companies in food chains. The majority of the respondents had about five years of experience in the agribusiness sector and had a permanent position. The research results revealed that employees take a new wave of mergers in the agricultural sector for granted; however, they are concerned about how staff are dealt with and even layoffs. Finally, respondents claimed to be in favor of mergers to avoid the closure of yet more businesses but emphasized the importance of protecting workers’ rights.","PeriodicalId":134894,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Applied Economics, Finance and Accounting","volume":"37 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132614787","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This is because manufacturing, machinery, chemicals, and allied industries are the main economic sectors on which developing nations in the ASEAN-5 area have concentrated their efforts. However, these are significant sources of greenhouse gas emissions. In response, each of the ASEAN-5 nations has pledged to reduce its carbon emissions. Additionally, one of the crucial challenges that these nations face is the choice and modification of product structure. This study was conducted to analyze the impact of economic diversification, income per capita, foreign direct investment, and electricity consumption on carbon emissions in developing ASEAN-5 nations (Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, and the Philippines) from 1986 to 2019. By adopting the pooled mean group approach, the empirical results showed that economic diversification reduces CO2 emissions while its square has the opposite effect. Electricity consumption positively influences carbon emissions in the long run, while economic growth drives environmental degradation both in the short and long run. Based on the findings, it can be recommended that ASEAN-5 governments increase economic diversification and reduce non-renewable energy consumption to promote sustainable development and environmental protection.","PeriodicalId":134894,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Applied Economics, Finance and Accounting","volume":"44 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116512635","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Countries with higher levels of government expenditure on health tend to have higher levels of economic growth. Investment in healthcare may result in a greater supply of health incentives which may help human capital and enhance productivity and the economy’s performance. This paper uses annual data from 2000-2020 for the following Western Balkan countries: Albania, Bosnia, Herzegovina, Kosovo, Montenegro, Northern Macedonia and Serbia. This region represents a diverse set of countries at different stages of development with varying government expenditures on health. This provides an opportunity to study the impact of health on economic growth in an environment with a lot of \"real-world\" variation. The data is collected from the World Bank, National Statistical Offices and Eurostat. The dependent variable is economic growth, measured as Gross Domestic Product (GDP) per capita growth. The independent variables are government expenditure on health as a percentage of GDP, health insurance, longevity, the average age of the population, health expenditure per capita and the death rate. In order to measure the impact of individual factors, the study uses econometric models with fixed effects and random effects. The regression analysis results show that government expenditure on health has a positive and significant impact on economic growth in Western Balkans countries.","PeriodicalId":134894,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Applied Economics, Finance and Accounting","volume":"93 11","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-11-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"113987038","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
