Here, we consider a possibility to utilize the Polarized Atomic Hydrogen Gas Jet Target (HJET) for precision measurement of polarization of the $sim$100 GeV/n helion beam. HJET, which serves to determine absolute proton beam polarization at the Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider, provides the accuracy of about $delta^text{syst}P/Psim0.5%$. Potential problems for adapting the HJET method for the EIC helion beam include (i) necessity to know the ratio of $p^uparrow{h}$ and $h^uparrow{p}$ analyzing powers $A_text{N}^{ph}(t)/A_text{N}^{hp}(t)$ with high precision, ({ii) possible beam ${}^3text{He}$ breakup, and (iii) operation in a 10 ns bunch spacing beam. Preliminary results of an analysis discussed here indicate that the listed problems can be overcome and the helion beam absolute polarization can be measured by HJET with the required accuracy.","PeriodicalId":134433,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 24th International Spin Symposium (SPIN2021)","volume":"74 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128608094","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Each part undergoes the renormalization due to the interactions among quarks and gluons, although the total tensor $T^{munu}$ is not renormalized thanks to conservation of energy and momentum. We show that, through the renormalization, each of the quark and gluon parts of $T^{munu}$ receives a definite amount of anomalous trace contribution, such that their sum reproduces the well-known QCD trace anomaly. We provide a procedure to derive such anomalous trace contribution for each quark/gluon part to all orders in perturbation theory, and obtain the corresponding explicit formulas up to three-loop order in the $overline{rm MS}$ scheme in the dimensional regularization. We apply our three-loop formulas of the quark/gluon decomposition of the trace anomaly to calculate the anomaly-induced mass structure of nucleons as well as pions. Another application of our three-loop formulas is a quantitative analysis for the constraints on the twist-four gravitational form factors of the nucleon, $bar{C}_{q,g}$.","PeriodicalId":134433,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 24th International Spin Symposium (SPIN2021)","volume":"79 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-09-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126333128","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

One of the essential elements for the nEDM measurement is a polarization analyzer of ultracold neutrons (UCNs), whose main component is a magnetized thin iron film. Several thin iron films were deposited on aluminum and silicon substrates and were characterized by vibrating sample magnetometry and cold-neutron reflectometry. A magnetic field required to saturate the iron film is ∼ 12 kA / m for those on the aluminum substrates and 6.4 kA / m for the silicon substrates. The magnetic potential of the iron films on the Si substrate was estimated to be 2 T by the neutron reflectometry, which is su ffi cient performance for an UCN polarization analyzer of the nEDM measurement.","PeriodicalId":134433,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 24th International Spin Symposium (SPIN2021)","volume":"20 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-07-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133379026","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
