Through the analysis of NGSIM data, it is found that the distance between leader car and follower car is often not the minimum safe distance when the driver maintains similar velocity with the leading vehicle. Moreover, due to miss perception of leading vehicle's velocity, the following vehicle's desired velocity is not equal to the leading vehicle's, especially when the leading vehicle's velocity changes greatly. In this paper, the comfortable driving distance is proposed to replace the minimum safe distance in the traditional car-following model, and the calculation method of the desired velocity is given. Logistic function was used to improve the linear function in the spring-damper car-following model, which fit the changing of driving velocity of follower vehicles better. Simulation results are provided to validity the model developed in this paper.","PeriodicalId":133472,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 5th ACM SIGSPATIAL International Workshop on the Use of GIS in Emergency Management","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-11-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131227771","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Experiment and simulation are usually used to estimate gas leakage concentration. However, it takes time to obtain accurate results quickly. In order to study the dispersion of dangerous chemicals in transportation, based on the similarity theory, a small-scale experimental platform for heavy gas leakage of expressway was built, and the small-scale space experiment was carried out on the dispersion process of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG). Through qualitative and quantitative analysis of the experimental results, A model for continuous leakage dispersion of heavy gas under specific conditions and a fast calculation equation are constructed. The model and the fast calculation equation were validated through the large-scale test data from abroad. The validation results show that the error of mathematical model is small. The calculation equation can be used to estimate the concentration of heavy gas in hazardous chemical leakage accident quickly. In this paper, Data analysis model based on SPSS is developed to predict the gas concentration quickly. Database of heavy gas leakage dispersion is established. It can provide theoretical and data support for emergency management agency to delimit the dispersion range and warning area accurately and quickly. The research results are of great significance for enriching the law of heavy gas leakage dispersion and improving the rescue and disposal ability of emergency agencies.","PeriodicalId":133472,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 5th ACM SIGSPATIAL International Workshop on the Use of GIS in Emergency Management","volume":"47 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-11-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133464787","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The promotion of electric vehicles turns out to be a significant measure to maintain the balance between energy consumption and environmental safety. However, an important factor constraining the widespread use of electric vehicles is the scarcity of charging facilities. In this paper, we establish a Multi-Objective programming model to China to carry out a case study, and perform a series experiment to acquire the number of charging stations required by Hangzhou in 2020, which is 472. The optimal number of charging stations in Xiacheng district is 11 and they are distributed in locations such as Yintai Square, Jiali Center and so on.","PeriodicalId":133472,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 5th ACM SIGSPATIAL International Workshop on the Use of GIS in Emergency Management","volume":"37 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-11-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123848718","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Its emission and leak accidents have gradually attracted people's attention. The emission and leak accidents are essentially air contaminant dispersion (ADS) and inverse traceability issues. Many ADS modeling methods have been developed by researchers. However, traditional ADS models are difficult to meet the requirement of both accuracy and efficiency. Due to the powerful fitting ability and fast calculation speed, artificial neural network (ANN) is used by more and more people for gas dispersion prediction. Of course, ANN training requires a large amount of data to ensure that the neural network can be applied to different scenarios. The Project Prairie Grass dataset provides us with plenty of actual experimental data to train neural network. The inverse traceability issue, which also known as source parameters estimation problem, has been solved by heuristic optimization algorithms in recent years. However, single optimization algorithm often has obvious advantages and disadvantages, and cannot balance local optimization and global optimization. Therefore, this paper explores the hybrid strategy between different optimization algorithms, and then combines single particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm with genetic algorithm (GA) and simulated annealing algorithm (SA) under the guidance of hybrid strategy. Finally, comparing single PSO and two hybrid optimization algorithms under unified standards, the results proves the superiority of hybrid optimization algorithms.","PeriodicalId":133472,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 5th ACM SIGSPATIAL International Workshop on the Use of GIS in Emergency Management","volume":"115 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-11-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134124621","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Because the essential source information can help the emergency management body to form a timely and effective accident disposal plan. This paper mainly studies the source searching problem in the chemical cluster where the searcher's movement is constrained by road network. We, firstly, introduce the Entrotaxis search algorithm, then combine it with the intermittent search strategy to propose the Entrotaxis-Jump algorithm. Besides, a prototype system of ground-based search robot is built for verifying performance of search methods and executing search tasks in a real scenario. Finally, this paper conducts a case study of a chemical cluster in Shanghai, China, and Entrotaxis-Jump algorithm proposed in this paper is verified to outperformance Entrotaxis algorithm. According to the results of 100 Monte Carlo simulations of two algorithms, the success rate of Entrotaxis-Jump is 34% higher than the Entrotaxis, and the mean search time is reduced by 374.94s.","PeriodicalId":133472,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 5th ACM SIGSPATIAL International Workshop on the Use of GIS in Emergency Management","volume":"12 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-11-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130670121","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Traditional research focuses on the shortest path, which is not sensitive to environmental factors such as the crowd congestion, obstacles distribution, air pollution, etc. To solve the path optimization problem, a behavior agent model is developed and integrated in the large-scale crowd simulation. The Q-Learning algorithm is applied to adjust the agent behavior. Considering the architectural space key exits and doors as network nodes, the paper presents combining dynamic crowd model and reinforcement learning strategy. The strategy with high training efficiency considering obstacles setup, crowd movement, and exits environment, the learning agent interacts dynamically with surrounding environment, and learns the shortest time path to exit. Simulation utilizes social force model for occupant movement, avoiding collisions with other occupants and obstacles. The path optimization is verified with the pedestrian library of Anylogic.","PeriodicalId":133472,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 5th ACM SIGSPATIAL International Workshop on the Use of GIS in Emergency Management","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-11-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115645918","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Traditional approaches to detect unlicensed taxis rely highly on manual work like collecting on-site evidence. However, these approaches are ineffective and inefficient. As to address this hardship, we propose an unlicensed taxi detection algorithm using pass-records data collected from surveillance cameras. First, based on spatio-temporal analysis, we propose path irregularity and time irregularity to distinguish commercial vehicles from non-commercial vehicles. Then, we evaluate the algorithm based on the actual vehicle pass-records data of Guiyang. The results show that our algorithm outperforms baselines in terms of accuracy and running time.","PeriodicalId":133472,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 5th ACM SIGSPATIAL International Workshop on the Use of GIS in Emergency Management","volume":"95 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-11-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114517051","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, little work has been done to detect leakage signals of buried pipelines on the surface. In this paper, the sensor array on the surface is used to detect the leakage signal of buried water-filled pipeline. The acoustic characteristics of leakage noise measured under controlled conditions are mainly studied, including different axes of accelerometer, different height of soil cover, different horizontal spacing, different pipe pressure and so on. It is found that the signal from x-axis and y-axis of the accelerometer parallel to the ground surface are more obvious. On the contrary, the effect of z-axis detection perpendicular to the ground plane is relatively weak. The leakage signal decreases with the overlying soil height increased, and the attenuation intensity decreases from strong to weak. The higher the pipe pressure is, the more obvious the leakage signal is. The closer to the leakage point on the ground surface, the stronger the energy of the leakage signal is. In this paper, geographic information system (GIS) is used to calibrate the relative position of the detection array in advance, and the preliminary measurement of the leakage signal of buried pipeline is carried out. The experimental results show that it is feasible to detect the leakage of buried water-filled pipeline through the surface. In the future, further research work will be carried out to study the measuring range of surface detection and the detectable range of leakage flow.","PeriodicalId":133472,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 5th ACM SIGSPATIAL International Workshop on the Use of GIS in Emergency Management","volume":"6 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-11-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125408450","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
