This study uses the trade-off theory and pecking order theory to postulate hypotheses related to determinants of capital structure. \u0000Methodology: In line with extant literature, size, liquidity, tangibility, growth opportunities, and risk are used as the determinants of the capital structure. The sample in this study includes nine listed tourism companies for the period 2007 to 2016, which aggregates to 90 firm-year observations. \u0000Main findings: The results show that the capital structure of tourism companies is influenced by size, growth, and risk. The trade-off theory and pecking order theory are useful for partially explaining the leverage decisions of Oman's tourism companies. \u0000Implications: The empirical findings of this research imply that tourism companies' corporate managers can make optimal capital structure decisions based on determinants. \u0000Novelty: To the best of the author's knowledge, this study is a first for examining the determinants of capital structure for Oman's tourism companies using data over ten years. Satisfaction should be used to assess the performance of destinations’ products and services as Muslim tourists may take into account the availability of facilities tailored to cater their religious and personal needs but they will feel most satisfied when performance exceeds necessities. \u0000Application: The findings from this review will benefit those in the tourism-related industries and policymakers. The specific identification of certain elements influencing the Muslim tourists’ preferences would help the service providers to offer attractive packages that meet the tourist’ expectations. \u0000Limitations: This paper has its limitations as the data was obtained from tourists visiting several locations in Bandung, Padang, and Lombok, Indonesia. To obtain generalized findings with regards to tourists’ views of the issue, a larger sampling is recommended. \u0000Novelty/Originality: This paper is significant as it focuses on Halal tourism by highlighting Muslim experiential values in halal tourist destinations as previous studies were focused on products and shopping malls. Hence, information from this paper will provide more light on the importance of Islamic attributes on halal tourism and Muslim tourists’ intention to revisit the locations.

Not only does tourism create job opportunities and possibilities for economic development, but it can also do so in regions having few other economic resources.. For these reasons, many countries, mainly in the developing world, have been proactive to build up tourism industries as part of national development strategies. \u0000Although Kashmir is acknowledged as the heaven on earth because of its abundant charming spots and attractions despite that Jammu and Kashmir is an industrially backward state without a strong industrial stand. Community Based Tourism (CBT), a future prospect, is a sort of sustainable tourism that encourages pro-poor strategies at community level and helps to eliminate poverty in rural areas of Kashmir. CBT initiatives intend to involve local population in the management and supervision of micro tourism projects as a means of alleviating poverty and providing a substitute income source for community members. CBT initiatives also encourage respect for local traditions, culture and natural heritage. Tourism offers many advantages to rural communities. Community Tourism has potential and can be used as a strategy for Rural Development. \u0000The present study will help to find out the importance of community tourism and rural development in the Valley of Kashmir. The study targeted 1,318 tourists from Karen Blixen Museum where the movie “Out of Africa” was filmed and Samburu County where the movie “The White Maasai” was filmed. In addition, a total of 658 bloggers airing their views on the filming locations were targeted. Simple random sampling and convenience sampling techniques were used to sample 345tourists and 221 bloggers, respectively. Structured closed-ended questionnaires were employed in collecting data. \u0000Main Findings: Findings from regression model showed that interpretation services had a positive and significant effect on tourists satisfaction (β = 0.647, p< 0.000).Based on the study findings and subsequent discussions, this paper concludes that the availability of interpretation media is effective in enhancing tourists’ understanding and appreciation of the destination being visited. Specifically, availability of guards in Karen Blixen Museum and Samburu and other interpretation media enhanced tourist experience and a majority were satisfied. \u0000Implications: The findings can be used to improve practice by encouraging tour guides to have a clear knowledge of a destination to be able to guide tourist and facilitate the offering of quality products. Wiklund, J., & Shepherd, D. (2005) the models enable and tries to enlighten more on how they facilitate the understanding and application of tourism competitiveness. World Travel and Tourism Council (2018) competitiveness in the travel and tourism industry is widely preached however, there is no uniform understanding and application of the concepts of competitiveness (Andrades-Caldito L Sánchez-Rivero, M. & Pulido-Fernández J. 2013). \u0000World Travel and Tourism Council (2018) evidently, there are many competitive variations among the top and advanced tourism destinations in the world. Austria is on position one in tourism infrastructural and products competitiveness, France is number one on tourists' visitations but the United States of America and China is number one on receipts/income realized from tourism. \u0000This clearly shows that if the models were perfect and uniformly applied then only one destination could have been number one in all aspects of visitation, infrastructural development, and income generated from the tourism industry.
