Methods : 48 subjects were participated in this study. Before a treatment, we analyzed a patient’s phychological type first by using a questionnaire. And then we divided 3 groups which were called a rational sympathy module group, emotional sympathy module group, control group. Manner of medical consultation according to patient’s phychological type was carried out in all groups. After all treatment, we conducted a survey about medical service perception index, patient happiness index, medical satisfaction index. To evaluate a satisfaction degree, we analyzed results of survey statistically. Results : The results of the analysis, both rational sympathy module group and emotional sympathy module group got a higher score than control group statistical significantly on medical service perception index. Emotional sympathy module group got a higher score than control group statistical significantly on patient happiness index and medical satisfaction index. But rational sympathy module group only had a higher tendency than control group on patient happiness index and medical satisfaction index. Emotional sympathy module group got a higher score than rational sympathy module group on medical service perception index, patient happiness index and medical satisfaction index. Conclusions : Korean medicine therapy using treatment tool by psychological type consisted of patient’s phychological type questionnaire and manner of medical consultation could improve a patient’s satisfaction. It was more effective in emotional sympathy module group than rational sympathy module group.","PeriodicalId":132453,"journal":{"name":"The journal of Korean Acupuncture & Moxibustion Society","volume":"71 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-06-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126374755","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

We divided patients into two groups. Bee venom group was treated by bee venom pharmacopuncture treatment and Hwangryun group was treated by Hwangryun pharmacopuncture treatment. We measured the efficacy of treatment with numerical rating scale(NRS) and neck disability index(NDI). The evaluations performed at admission day and 14th day after admission. Results : In both bee venom group and Hwangryun group, NRS and NDI decreased significantly in statistics as treatment was performed. Though bee venom group showed a decreasing NRS and NDI score compared to Hwangryun group, there is no statistical significant difference between the result of both groups. Conclusions : The result of this study suggest that both bee venom pharmacopuncture treatment and Hwangryun pharmacopuncture treatment is effective in reducing pain for patients with cervical disc herniation. Further clinical research is needed to verify these results and findings.","PeriodicalId":132453,"journal":{"name":"The journal of Korean Acupuncture & Moxibustion Society","volume":"14 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-06-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133664351","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Methods : By TTc staining we chose the most effective acupuncture point with neuro-protection. We randomly divided into four groups: Such as (1) sham group(with sham-operation), (2) sham+acupuncture group(with sham-operation), (3) middle cerebral artery occlusion group, (4) MCAO+AT group. Acupuncture procedure was performed for four days. Total RNA was extracted using TRIzol reagent, according to the manufacturer’s instructions, and was purified using an RNAeasy mini kit. Immuno-histochemistry was performed using primary antibody mouse anti-BrdU, NeuN, Dcx, and VEGF. Results : We found that ST36 had the more neuroprotective effect than LI11 and SP3. The microarray analysis revealed that 54 genes were more expressed neurogenesis pathway in MCAO+AT group compared with MCAO group(fold changes greater than or equal to twofold change). 11 genes were more expressed angiogenesis pathway. And 7 genes were more expressed VEGF pathway. Immuno-histochemistry revealed that cell proliferation, cell migration and cell maturation were increased. Conclusions : This study demonstrated that acupuncture on ST36 had neuro-protective and neuro-restorative effect in ischemic brain injuries. And its mechanism might be related to promote neurogenesis and angiogenesis. These results suggest th at acupuncture have potential benefits for the treatment of ischemic stroke. Methods : 16 Taeeumin-diagnosed healthy participated in this study. They were randomly divided into group A and group B. Each participant went through 3 sessions every week with 1 week of washout period in between each session. HRV was measured three times at every session; at baseline, after administering mentally stressful circumstances and after applying either one of simple rest, Taeeumin Taegeuk acupuncture or soyangin Taegeuk acupuncture. This study was designed as a crossover clinical trial. After same initial simple resting session for both groups at week 1, acupuncture for group A were executed in the order of Taeeumin Taegeuk acupuncture and soyangin Taegeuk acupuncture at week 2 and 3 respectively, with acupuncture for group B conducted in reverse order. Results : Simple rest, Taeeumin Taegeuk acupuncture and Soyangin Taegeuk acupuncture did show the significant changes in decrease LF(Norm) and increase HF(Norm) after stress stimuli. Taeeumin Taegeuk acupuncture, compared to Soyangin Taegeuk acupuncture, significantly decreased LF(Norm) and increased HF(Norm). HFD+E group was injected in the concentration of 50 mg/kg once a day for 4 weeks and every other day during the next 4 weeks. We measured body weight, food intake, absolute weight and relative weight in the liver and adipose tissue. Also, we analyzed hematological levels and histopathological changes on adipose tissue. Results : 1. We observed no difference in food intake among three groups. 2. HFD+E group significantly decreased body weight gain and absolute weight and relative weight in the liver and adipose tissue compared with HFD group. 3. Blood AST and ALT were no differences among the experiment groups. However, HFD group was significantly increased higher TG, TC, HDL and LDL than in N group and HDL/LDL ratio was remarkably decreased. On the other hand, HFD+E group was significantly decreased in obesity markers and HDL/LDL ratio was remarkably increased. 4. Levels of adiponectin in serum of HFD+E group was remarkably increased compared with those of HFD group. 5. HFD group was significantly decreased compared with N group in adipocyte number. Compared with the HFD group, HFD+E group was displayed a significant increase by adipocyte number.
