The algorithm takes raw images and robot orientation as input and generates control commands as network output. Control commands include go-straight-forward, turn-full-left, turn-half-left, turn-full-right, and turn-half-right. A dataset compiled using depth images (RGBD) and robot orientation data obtained by an Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU). In addition, the performance of the algorithm in terms of training options, hyperparameters, and output precision is evaluated and recommendations are provided accordingly. The final results show that the accuracy can be improved by including the robot orientation in the dataset, increasing the size of data, and tuning the network's hyperparameters. The CNN algorithm has shown great potential to get high path classification accuracy for obstacle avoidance for mobile robots.","PeriodicalId":131382,"journal":{"name":"2020 7th International Conference on Electrical and Electronics Engineering (ICEEE)","volume":"11 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-04-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122340960","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In the university parking area, the students are unable to receive any information regarding a fire smoke or an accident near their vehicle. In addition, the parking safety also not assured due to the shortage of car superintendence and there is no any strict parking management by the security officer. Therefore, a fire smoke alert monitoring system in the university parking area is necessary in order to prevent any accidents that may cause property breakdown and loss of life as happens inside the university area. This system should be introduced since the existing parking is unsystematic and less efficient as it unable to response the complications that are regularly happen to the students because they do not receive any information regarding a fire smoke or an accident near their vehicle in the parking area. With this new system, a few advancements are implemented in order to help the students in various aspects by using multiple and distinct Arduino devices. Moreover, an android application is developed to facilitate the security officer in order to identify the car information that are involved in the accident that might be occur in the university parking area.","PeriodicalId":131382,"journal":{"name":"2020 7th International Conference on Electrical and Electronics Engineering (ICEEE)","volume":"46 3","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-04-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114099162","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The cyber-attacks and cyber threats are always the main challenge of cybersecurity. The unsecure network causes the data leakage, data theft and data interception that affect the data integrity. In the healthcare sector, the medical images are the important records for the organization to detect and diagnose the disease. Hence, the confidentiality of the medical images needs to be ensured to assure the integrity of the data. The techniques that are used to enhance the security and integrity of the medical images include cryptography, steganography and digital watermarking to prevent the medical images from being modified and the techniques can also be used for authentication in which the content of the medical images can be viewed only by the authorized person. This paper will describe the techniques used in medical image for security and integrity purposes, moreover, it will propose the suitable technique to use in medical images by hospitals.","PeriodicalId":131382,"journal":{"name":"2020 7th International Conference on Electrical and Electronics Engineering (ICEEE)","volume":"15 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-04-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122531358","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Industrial plants would also like to integrate renewables even though there is no conventional power plant in their structure. One of the biggest refineries in Turkey would like to integrate 10 MW of wind power, in addition to its conventional power plants. Wind integration will be done without the necessity of meeting the grid regulation annex-18 criteria and will be within the framework of the “Unlicensed Energy Generation Regulation”. All the energy generated from wind generation should be consumed in the plant. The structure should be configured according to this principle. The main aim of this paper is to illustrate the philosophy to be established and to show the working profiles of energy storage systems according to different scenarios. Real wind profile and real load profiles are used in the analyses. Also, the suitability of different type of wind generators according to their type and functionality are investigated for grid connected and island mode operation. For island mode operation, stability of the system for the loss of wind generation and/or storage is also studied.","PeriodicalId":131382,"journal":{"name":"2020 7th International Conference on Electrical and Electronics Engineering (ICEEE)","volume":"3 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-04-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134295238","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

For this reason, one of the recent global technological and scientific tendencies is to develop and include electric vehicles in transportation. In this paper, an Electric Traveling Salesman Problem with Time Windows was studied by considering two objectives: minimizing the total distance and minimizing the total energy consumption. As a solution method, the well-known Simulated Annealing algorithm was hybridized with a constructive heuristic and a local search heuristic. This algorithm was executed on a set of well-known benchmark instances from the literature separately for the two objectives and the results were presented.","PeriodicalId":131382,"journal":{"name":"2020 7th International Conference on Electrical and Electronics Engineering (ICEEE)","volume":"51 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-04-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115101281","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

IMDs such as pacemakers and implantable cardioverter defibrillators, relying on integrated-circuit technology, are susceptible to soft errors from energetic particles (neutron and alpha particles). Device failures by soft errors can have deadly consequences for patients. Moreover, as the impact of technology scaling on soft errors is increasing, the efficiency of error correction codes (ECCs) is decreasing. Accordingly, there is an urgent demand for new solutions that take into account that ensuring data reliability in IMDs is of the utmost priority. This paper presents a technique that provides high error-correction performance, high speed, and low complexity. The proposed technique uses the replication method and the extended Hamming code and guarantees data reliability in spite of the presence of up to three-bit errors. The extended Hamming code is modified in order to provide lower decoding complexity. The new technique and the associated analysis scheme for its implementation has been evaluated and is described. The technique is compared to ECCs with similar decoding complexity to better understand the overheads required and the new capabilities to protect data against three-bit errors. It is shown that this technique reduces the miss-detection probability of four-bit errors. This proposed technique will hopefully contribute to the persistent efforts to implement reliable IMDs.","PeriodicalId":131382,"journal":{"name":"2020 7th International Conference on Electrical and Electronics Engineering (ICEEE)","volume":"12 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-04-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114259124","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
