Still discrimination of women all over the world is in high range. The situation of Bangladesh in this regard is much worse. The existing stand of Bangladesh regarding Clause 2 and 16-1(c), has made it impossible to fully establish women’s right in the country. This paper attempted to make a case for the explanation of fully implementing CEDAW in Bangladesh, using the Constitution of Bangladesh. The Constitution of Bangladesh clearly identifies equal rights for both men and women, whereby non-ratification of two clauses of the CEDAW charter is clearly unjustifiable. Thus this paper has strengthened the case by conducting an extensive literature review of the CEDAW charter along with the state of women’s rights in the Constitution of Bangladesh. It will serve as a basis for future changes in policy development regarding the ratification of the CEDAW Charter in Bangladesh.","PeriodicalId":130992,"journal":{"name":"ABC Journal of Advanced Research","volume":"27 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-12-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130309971","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The urban area is considered the potential hot spot of e-waste generation as consumption of EEE is higher here than the rural area due to population concentration, economic wellbeing, and cultural orientation. Bangladesh spends a huge amount on importing EEE every year. The paper is to go into electronic equipment consumption pattern in Bangladesh pointing potential sources of e-waste generation. Data from Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics on ICT use and access by household and individual; World Bank consumption database and other sources are revealed, compiled and processed. District wise data are analyzed and presented using Arc GIS software. The study finds that consumption share of EEE is considerably high in lowest and low-income groups. Population structure is found significant in EEE consumption pattern. According to the study, 15-24 years age group which represents the lowermost segment of population but consume the highest share of ICT in terms of computer, internet and cellphone in Bangladesh. Dhaka is the single uppermost EEE consuming city regarding computer, television, mobile phone, and fridge. Divisional headquarters and some other district headquarters are also fallen in potential e-waste generating zone as they are in top ten EEE consuming districts. The pattern of electrical and electronic equipment consumption influences the type and magnitude of e-waste generation in many ways. So, understanding EEE consumption pattern might be useful as an input to e-waste management planning.","PeriodicalId":130992,"journal":{"name":"ABC Journal of Advanced Research","volume":"32 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-12-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132578683","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

When documents are well-known in a large volume of subject matter classification, the classifications are frequently prepared in order. Newsgroup and yahoo databases are two cases studied. This article indicates that the precision of a naïve Bayes text classifier can be importantly enhanced by taking benefit of a hierarchy of categories. A statistical approach known as shrinkage was adopted that levels variable prediction of a data-sparse child with its blood relation in direction to acquire more vigorous variable predictions. The test results on 3 real-time datasets from Yahoo, UseNet, and shared webpages display enhanced performance with about 29% error reduction over the customarily flat classifier.","PeriodicalId":130992,"journal":{"name":"ABC Journal of Advanced Research","volume":"7 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-12-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115738159","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It explores how an EFL teacher—using English as the primary mode of instruction—might deploy a methodological combination, where teacher transmission and student collaboration can be used as an effective method to teach this particular content-based subject to non-native English speakers. This methodological procedure is arguably influenced by the teacher’s EFL background having an undeniable effect on students’ input in the lesson, resulting in a syllabus which integrates students’ beliefs as well as experiences regarding the use of language in society and deploying a multilingual collaboration among the students in the lectures themselves. Such a version of traditional lecturing and student interaction, which is termed here as “collaborative dialogue”, has, to some degree, firstly succeeded in raising the general class level of comprehension and, secondly yet more significantly, lowering the general anxieties about interaction in class. Furthermore, it has also resulted in pooling student input about language use to create a rich, contrastive perspective on sociolinguistic topics.","PeriodicalId":130992,"journal":{"name":"ABC Journal of Advanced Research","volume":"29 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-03-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116856882","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The post-accession price adjustment of Greece is also modeled. The research design employed in the study consists of descriptive statistics, chi-square test and regression analysis. The accession of Greece to the European Economic and Monetary Union (EMU) in 2001 and the introduction of the euro in 2002 were followed by a sharp upward shift of the consumer price level. This increase in consumer price level has given birth to a widely held hypothesis that claims that the accession of Greece to the EMU has caused a structural increase in the consumer price level. In this study this hypothesis is tested and rejected. There was no substantial evidence of such an effect of the aftermath of joining the EMU. However, there was strong evidence of structural breaks in the Greek consumer price equilibrium and of the presence of a non-linear price adjustment model. This study addresses the adjustment behavior of the consumer price level, and finds that the shift in prices after the accession to EMU is normal equilibrium restoring adjustments.
