Model estimates of stock dynamics are characterized by uncertainty associated with incomplete coverage of the beaked redfish distribution in surveys, age determination problems, and assumptions made in the model. The regulation of fishing mortality is based on the precautionary approach, and the main management aim is achievement of the maximum sustainable yield. Technical measures include limiting the minimum mesh size in the trawl, establishing a minimum fish length for fishery, temporal fishery closures and limiting by-catch in multi-species fisheries. The unregulated fishery of the Norwegian-Barents Sea beaked redfish in the 1970s was one of the reasons for the decline in its stock and appearance of poor recruitment, which led to the ban on its targeted fishing in the Norwegian Economic Zone and in the fish protection area of the Svalbard. In 2014, the fishing was reopened. At present, the stock of beaked redfish of the Norwegian-Barents Sea population is in a safe state and further growth of the catch is expected.","PeriodicalId":129863,"journal":{"name":"Problems of fisheries","volume":"39 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-08-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122650291","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A comparative assessment of the fingerlings showed the advantages of the cross over other crosses grown in the same farm (Sursky malokostny and Petrovsky) on a number of indicators: weight, body length, indices of high-spin, physical development. In the youngsters of the new cross, the intensity of hematopoiesis (erythropoiesis and leukopoiesis) is higher than in the rest of the studied crosses. The content of lysosomal cationic protein in the blood neutrophils of the new cross-hybrid is at an optimal level and indicates a good state of cellular immunity of fish.","PeriodicalId":129863,"journal":{"name":"Problems of fisheries","volume":"22 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-08-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122559880","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The maximum age of 18 years was noted, the maximum zoological length and weight: 41,2 cm and 680 g. The size and weight characteristics of individuals for each age are given. The relationship between the length and mass of the river body is described by a power function. Single maturing individuals were caught at the age of 4 years in females and 3 years in males. The bulk of the fish ripens at 4–5 years of age. Food items are marked: amphipods, bivalve mollusks, insect larvae, including brooks, sipunculids, fish objects. The average absolute fecundity of European flounder is 550 thousand eggs.","PeriodicalId":129863,"journal":{"name":"Problems of fisheries","volume":"8 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-08-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125312591","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Analysis of the dislocation of the fishing fleet makes it possible to trace the formation and distribution of pollock clusters. A significant amount of the collected material made it possible to characterize the dynamics of gonad maturation and the change in the size and age structure of individuals in commercial subzones. Pollock fishing usually began in the Kamchatka-Kuril subzone and partly in the North Okhotsk subzone in the area of the Swan Upland, with gradual development northward into Shelikhov Bay, Pritaui district and the North Okhotsk shelf. The basis of the catches was pollock at the age of 5–8 years at the pre-spawning stages of the development of sexual products. By-catch of juveniles varied from 0,5% (2009) to 63,5% (2018), averaging 23,5% in the North Okhotsk subzone, 34,8% in the West Kamchatka subzone and 15,5% in the Kamchatka-Kuril subzone.","PeriodicalId":129863,"journal":{"name":"Problems of fisheries","volume":"26 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-08-09","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132775550","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In the last 20 years, there has been a shift in timing of pink salmon approach to the area of trap-nets a later date, as well as the main fishing sites shifting from the southern to the central areas of the coast. During these years, water cooling has observed in May, which could cause a delay in fish migration to the Tatar Strait. Also, in June and July in the northern regions, due to rapid warming, the water temperature became the same as in the southern regions of the strait. It’s known that such thermal regime changes largely determined by the intensity of penetration of the Tsushima current waters into the Tatar Strait, which apparently caused the shift of pink salmon accumulations in the strait to the north.","PeriodicalId":129863,"journal":{"name":"Problems of fisheries","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-08-09","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125888260","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
