BMD was determined by thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), dual X-ray absorptiometry (DXA) and ashing. Furthermore, bone composition (amount of inorganic versus organic components) was analyzed with TGA. The measurement data showed a high linear correlation between TGA and DXA with r = 0.82 (p < 0.01) and between TGA and ashing with r = 0.83 (p < 0.01). Comparison of bone density values from DXA versus ashing revealed a correlation coefficient of r= 0.81 (p < 0.01). Between 200°C and 600 °C, a reduction of the bone sample mass of about 50 % was measured with TGA due to loss of organic components. TGA demonstrates its suitability to analyze bone mineral density and bone composition of samples derived from osteoarthritic patients.","PeriodicalId":129350,"journal":{"name":"2019 12th International Conference on Measurement","volume":"99 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-05-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131027077","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A measuring system using an accelerometer sensor has been designed and constructed to measure, quantify and analyze these oscillations. The acquired data is displayed real-time and further processed within the developed software application. It allows determining the dominant tremor frequency information, which is one of the main diagnostic parameters.","PeriodicalId":129350,"journal":{"name":"2019 12th International Conference on Measurement","volume":"3 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-05-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121859370","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The specificity of probe measurements on the scale of small times and sizes characteristic of such states is discussed. Some results of measurements of the properties of superheated liquids, which are not feasible in the framework of quasi-stationary methods, are presented. The measurements are carried out by two techniques within the framework of the general approach, namely a wire probe (resistance thermometer) technique and an optical probe (fiber-optic waveguide) one.","PeriodicalId":129350,"journal":{"name":"2019 12th International Conference on Measurement","volume":"49 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-05-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125938118","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The motivation for the viscosity measurement is the correct implementation of the Preisach hysteresis model. This article deals with the initial phase of determining the time constant of the flux density response to small steps of the field strength. Main relaxation parameters: the relaxation time and the time shift were calculated by the use of the curve fitting method. The relaxation time reaches 4 s for material M165-30S at the steepest part of the major hysteresis loop for the easy axis of magnetization and only 100 ms at the transverse magnetizing direction.","PeriodicalId":129350,"journal":{"name":"2019 12th International Conference on Measurement","volume":"157 ","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-05-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114058651","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
