The hypothesis of this research should show that the initial grade has a large share in the success whenperforming the composition on the beam. The sample of participants consists of eight gymnasts who qualified for the final in the beam discipline at the FIG World Cup Series competition - Doha (Qatar) in 2022. These gymnasts come from six national federations, which are shown with their starting grades, errors in performance, final grades and placement. In this case study, the research shows that the performance of gymnasts at the top level is very safe, because the finalists on beam did not make major mistakes, they fulfilled all specific requirements and some achieved bonus elements.","PeriodicalId":12921,"journal":{"name":"GYMNASIUM","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.2,"publicationDate":"2024-06-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141355973","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"历史学","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The “Scale of Job Finding Anxiety of Sports Science Students” developed by Aslan and Ugras (2021) and the “Academic Engagement Scale” developed by Kızılkaya and Dogan (2022) were used to collect data. Descriptive statistics, correlation, and regression analyses were used in the analysis of the data. As a result of the analysis, it was observed that the job-finding anxiety had a significant and negative effect on academic engagement (p<0.01). According to these results, it is revealed that it is necessary to take measures to reduce the job-finding anxiety and to develop education policies so that students can have a more productive education process with high academic engagement.","PeriodicalId":12921,"journal":{"name":"GYMNASIUM","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.2,"publicationDate":"2024-06-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141357366","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"历史学","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The study was based on identifying the degree of neuro-motor impairment immediately after the surgery, followed by establishing a specific physical therapy intervention strategy based on the identified manifestations. The subjects included in the study had a common clinical diagnosis of cerebral abscess and the presence of neurological sequelae post-surgery. The physical therapy approach consisted of neuro-proprioceptive facilitation techniques and methods, considered the most effective in such pathologies. The results obtained from the initial and final evaluations of the patients included in the study and their interpretationhighlighted that the early application of neuro-motor and proprioceptive facilitation techniques allowed achieving favorable results and reaching the proposed objectives.","PeriodicalId":12921,"journal":{"name":"GYMNASIUM","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.2,"publicationDate":"2024-06-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141356961","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"历史学","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The COVID-19 pandemic constrained adolescents' wishes and choices by imposing isolation at home. This constraint diminished individual autonomy regarding the purpose of choices, the direction of actions and the freedom to carry out particular tasks. The study aims to assess this personality trait by applying the personal autonomy questionnaire with four dimensions: cognitive autonomy, behavioural autonomy, value autonomy and emotional autonomy. The subjects of this research were 62 seventh-grade students with an average age of 13.5±0.29 years old. The results showed that the pandemic period impaired the students' personal autonomy, and some subjects avoided expressing their feelings and lacked confidence in their strengths.","PeriodicalId":12921,"journal":{"name":"GYMNASIUM","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.2,"publicationDate":"2024-05-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141000229","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"历史学","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The situations that ask children to establish certain relationships with each other and adopt a behavior depending on what others do as either partners or opponents is a social-role game. The research involved 27 students aged 9-10 years old. The experiment was carried out as part of physical education lessons, with third graders participating in two lessons of physical education per week. In the motor tests, the differences between the mean values are relatively large, and these differences are statistically significant, with a generally large t-value and a p-value of less than 0.05 for allindicators. For this reason, it is rightly considered that such games contribute to the practice and development of interpersonal behavior and the individual’s social maturation.","PeriodicalId":12921,"journal":{"name":"GYMNASIUM","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135154774","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"历史学","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In order to evaluate multiple intelligence and to point out levels and types of intelligence perceived by children and their parents, we used a “Questionnaire on how to assess your child’s intelligence” and a “Questionnaire on how to identify students’ skills and abilities”. After gathering and analysing the data, we noticed that there is a good consistency between the parents’ assessment of the children and the children’s self assessment regarding the classification in the right type of intelligence. The above mentioned results made us conclude that parents’ support when it comes to extracurricular activities help children grow by having dominant intelligence and predispositions in the centre of their evolution.","PeriodicalId":12921,"journal":{"name":"GYMNASIUM","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135154772","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"历史学","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The research included a total of 79 karatekas, aged 11 to 13 (± 0.5 years) of which 37 were competitors in kumite, 23 in kata, and 19 participants who competed in both disciplines. It was expected that certain differences between the examined groups of karatekas in morphological characteristics would appear, which was confirmed by the obtained results. The hypothesis that participants of different competitive orientations will differ significantly in the results of morphological characteristics has been partially confirmed. However, the tendencies of some differences registered in the oldest age of the participants, as well as the analysis of some researches conducted on the population of elite karate players, indicate the importance of forecasting definite morphological characteristics for success in a specific competitive discipline (kata or kumite).","PeriodicalId":12921,"journal":{"name":"GYMNASIUM","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135154776","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"历史学","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
