SOC promotes creation of new services by composition. In the composition process, requirements are described by requestor and Web service offered by the provider, a provider is the owner of service his role is to create service and publish it to make it available to customers and partners. A number of Web services compositions approaches have been presented to satisfy the end-user's requirements. Interactive Web services compositions (IWSC) creates new value by adapting the end-user's requirements, the end-user corresponds to the person requesting the service and who will search and invoke the service. With the emergence of collective intelligence (CI), IWSC allows a better end-user's satisfaction. In this paper, we propose a new approach that supports Collective intelligence for satisfying the actor's requirements that suggests a model to help the web services composition. Our approach uses the beneficial roles of collaboration as a key for future services composition. It uses also the interactivity between the actors, user interaction during a service composition will contribute in the satisfaction degree of the actors.","PeriodicalId":128616,"journal":{"name":"2015 11th International Conference on Signal-Image Technology & Internet-Based Systems (SITIS)","volume":"76 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-11-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127539573","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This is especially important for DBpedia, which has become a prominent resource on the LOD. In this paper, our aim is to evaluate the quality of the description of domain concepts in DBpedia. Using a data-driven approach on a sample of domain concepts from Wikipedia, we show that a) the resources in our sample are described mainly by facts in DBpedia and seldom refer to the DBpedia ontology, b) DBpedia models very poorly these sample domain concepts at the instance level and schema level, c) very few predicates can be used for inference purposes, and d) very few domain predicates (object properties) are used in the description of domain concepts. This highlights the importance of restructuring the DBpedia knowledge base and including domain knowledge at the schema and instance levels.","PeriodicalId":128616,"journal":{"name":"2015 11th International Conference on Signal-Image Technology & Internet-Based Systems (SITIS)","volume":"16 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-11-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121314360","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

For the implementation of such systems, companies can deploy important means for small gains. Indeed, management services often notice very limited use compared to what they actually expect. We present a use case of a five-step re-designing user-centered approach that combines a top-down content architecture, integration with other corporate information systems and adapted interfaces and interactions design to increase the use of these artifacts. Our implementation is done on the knowledge repository used by operators from Société du Canal de Provence (SCP),a French water management company. Their system was taken into production but very occasionally used. We describe the reasons for this limited use and we propose a design methodology adapted to the context. Promoting the effective use of the system, our approach has been experimented and evaluated with a panel of users working at SCP. Results of our semi-structured questionnaire reveal that more than half of the participant are satisfied and present a positive attitude towards the re-designed system.","PeriodicalId":128616,"journal":{"name":"2015 11th International Conference on Signal-Image Technology & Internet-Based Systems (SITIS)","volume":"42 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-11-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126105520","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

These systems, if properly structured and configured, can significantly increase the smartness of the environments where they are deployed, monitoring and continuously collecting data to be processed and elaborated. Such operations can be correctly executed, especially in large locations, if several embedded systems nodes are deployed under the design of an intelligent network. This paper presents SMuNe, a Smart Multisensor Network based on the BeableBone Black platform, a complete open hardware and software embedded computer, the challenge is to create a multi-purpose hierarchical network composed by smart nodes able to gain and manage heterogeneous data and spaces according to the Internet of Things (IoT) paradigm. As a proof of the effectiveness of SMuNe we conducted an experimentation within the Cultural Heritage domain, in detail we deployed SMuNe within a sculptures exhibition named \"The Beauty or the Truth\" in the monumental site of San Domenico Maggiore in Naples, Italy.","PeriodicalId":128616,"journal":{"name":"2015 11th International Conference on Signal-Image Technology & Internet-Based Systems (SITIS)","volume":"80 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-11-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130361875","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Our study relies on a new rich dataset collecting information about how users post their favorite contents and about their centrality on different social media. Specifically posting activities and social sites usage have been gathered from the social media aggregator Alternion. The analysis of social media usage shows that Alternion data capture the typical trend of today's users. However the novelty is the multidimensional and longitudinal nature of the dataset. In fact by performing a rank correlation analysis on the degree in the different social sites, we find that the degrees of a given user are scarcely correlated. This is suggesting that the individuals' importance changes from medium to medium.We also investigate the posting activities finding a slightly positive correlation on how often users publish on different social media. Finally we show that users tend to use similar usernames to keep their identifiability across social sites.","PeriodicalId":128616,"journal":{"name":"2015 11th International Conference on Signal-Image Technology & Internet-Based Systems (SITIS)","volume":"34 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-11-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114757482","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The textual content in videos is generally extracted and recognized for development of text based indexing and retrieval systems. If the text in videos appears only in a single script, the output of text detector is directly fed to a video Optical Character Recognition (OCR) system for recognition. However, in cases where text may appear in multiple scripts, a script recognition module is required to recognize the script of the text so that it can be processed by the respective OCR. We propose a video script recognition system that considers text in each script as a unique texture. A number of texture measures are extracted from text blocks and an artificial neural network is trained to learn to distinguish between different scripts. The system evaluated on video text blocks in five different scripts (Arabic, English, Urdu, Hindi and Chinese) reported promising recognition rates. In addition to the performance of individual textural features, different combinations of texture measures were investigated which realized interesting results.","PeriodicalId":128616,"journal":{"name":"2015 11th International Conference on Signal-Image Technology & Internet-Based Systems (SITIS)","volume":"19 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-11-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129292752","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This system is built in two phases. In the firstphase, we proposed a mathematical model for detectingECG features like QRS complex peak, P and T-wavesonsets and ends from noise free of synthetic ECG signal. Later, we develop a theoretical model to obtain real approach for detecting these features from real noisy ECGsignals. To evaluate our method, it has been applied onelectrocardiogram signals of QT-MIT standard database, theQRS peak detection obtained sensitivity (Se) 98.88 and apositive productivity P+ =98.43. For P-onset, P-end, T-endevaluations, this approach provides Sensitivity (Se) of 75.16,71, and 90.7 respectively. Another test has been conducted toevaluate the performance of this approach against differentlevels of noise with the same synthetic ECG signal.
