In particular; to perform signal processing and machine learning tasks in the encrypted domain. Homomorphic encryption offers provably secure, asymmetric encryption solution to this problem, however, it comes with a high storage and computation cost. Compressed sensing (CS) and random projection (RP) approaches are much lighter; however, they lack privacy since the encryption uses a symmetric key which is the random projection matrix. A multi-key, compressed sensing encryption approach is proposed in this paper for performing basic generic computations. The computing architecture consists of a User, a Cloud (which stores encrypted data from an Owner), and a Trusted Third Party (TTP) which is responsible for distributing the random CS keys. The TTP also trains two machine learning modules; ML1 and ML2. ML1, used at the cloud, takes as input the multi-key encrypted data and produces an intermediate encrypted result. ML2, available at the user side, decrypts the results. This novel approach is much cheaper than homomorphic encryption in terms of data expansion, storage as well as encryption time. Also, it offers the privacy of the multi-keys. The proposed approach is applied on 2 generic computing tasks; namely, squared Euclidean distance and dot product. The developed approach is tested on the COREL image classification task using the squared Euclidean distance and on an autoregressive (AR) stock prediction task using the dot product.","PeriodicalId":128441,"journal":{"name":"2017 5th International Symposium on Computational and Business Intelligence (ISCBI)","volume":"17 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121572900","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Biometric scheme are being widely used as their security merits over the earlier authentication system based on their history, that is the records were easily lost, guessed or forget. Biometric is more complex than password and is unique for each individual. Keystroke dynamics, which distinguishes individual by its typing rhythm, is the most prevalent behavior biometric authentication system. In this work, the focus is made on the dwell time and flight time of the users' typing to recognize or reject an imposter. A multilayer perceptron (MLP) neural network is used to train and authenticate the features. The neural network classifier is used to evaluate the feature of the user. Based on the recognition rate of 98.5% achieved, the fusion of keystroke dynamic features along with Neural Network has proved to be a promising technique.","PeriodicalId":128441,"journal":{"name":"2017 5th International Symposium on Computational and Business Intelligence (ISCBI)","volume":"8 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125872655","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This paper describes the process of building a large-scale (about 400, 000 sentence pairs) English-Persian parallel corpus called Tehran Parallel Corpus (TPC). The aim of study is to introduce the structure and explain the materials utilized for constructing TPC. In addition, some useful tools developed within the project have been introduced and three sorts of the statistical machine translation systems trained by TPC have been considered. In order to develop a high quality parallel corpus, unsure alignments recognized via a MaxEnt classifier have been eliminated from the corpus. As an intrinsic evaluation, 1,600 sentence pairs are elicited randomly and compared manually with a gold standard test set. As an extrinsic evaluation, three Phrase-based SMT systems, which is trained by TPC are incorporated. The results demonstrate the superiority of our translator systems over English to Persian Google translator system in term of BLEU and TER metrics.","PeriodicalId":128441,"journal":{"name":"2017 5th International Symposium on Computational and Business Intelligence (ISCBI)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129177937","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The factors were categorised into four constructs and the causal relationship among the constructs were established. Structural equation model technique was adopted to test the hypotheses formulated. The results revealed that R&D has a positive and significant impact on technological and non-technological innovations and firms' profitability. Each of the technological and non-technological innovation also has positive and significant impact on profitability. The indirect effects of R&D on profitability through technological and non-technological innovations are also positive though it was higher for technological innovation than non-technological innovation. These results imply that investment in R&D, technological and non-technological innovations should be combined to optimise the indigenous oil firms' profitability as against many firms that chose either of them leaving the other two.","PeriodicalId":128441,"journal":{"name":"2017 5th International Symposium on Computational and Business Intelligence (ISCBI)","volume":"23 8","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131540098","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The main objective is to develop a fully automatic facial feature detection system. The method proposed in this paper uses a combination of methods to detect facial features. It first uses the Viola-Jones methods to identify possible regions of interest subsequently use calculations based on the symmetric property of the human face to detect the true facial features. A comparison between the Viola-Jones algorithm and the proposed algorithm has been performed and it shows that our method in combination with Viola-Jones increases the accuracy of detection considerably.","PeriodicalId":128441,"journal":{"name":"2017 5th International Symposium on Computational and Business Intelligence (ISCBI)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122565060","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The gathered information is processed and — if necessary — alternative paths are generated. This paper proposes a novel Backup Path Planning Approach (BPPA) by means of reusing the distributed pheromones of the Ant Colony Optimization (ACO) approach. The proposed strategy and algorithm derive feasible backup paths solely from the available pheromone concentration. The results of the experiment reveal that BPPA explores new paths which are suitable to detour small clusters of newly appeared obstacles. However, the incorporation of these tours shrinks the original path and generates an additional benefit.","PeriodicalId":128441,"journal":{"name":"2017 5th International Symposium on Computational and Business Intelligence (ISCBI)","volume":"5 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123764638","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
