Our main focus is presenting development of indoor 3D location tracking to replace the existing 2D location tracking. The 2D location tracking mechanism only supports tracking the mobile unit position in the same level and provides handover or device switching. If the users need to go to another level, user will have to disconnect the connection. The development of the system that has a location tracking mechanism responsible to track the position of the mobile unit (such as laptop and PDA). In this paper, the system running in IPv4 framework and set up as a read test bed. The proposed location tracking will be based on Received Signal Strength Indicator (RSSI). The 3D location tracking system will be purely software based with minimum hardware dependent.","PeriodicalId":128396,"journal":{"name":"2010 Sixth International Conference on Signal-Image Technology and Internet Based Systems","volume":"118 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-12-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114544062","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

To make remote collaboration more efficient and dependable, enriching cyberspace through adaptively utilizing is proposed and evaluated. This assesses situations of remote users through information fusion of multiple biological sensors and the related contexts such as user profiles. Transmitting and using such information, the system adaptively supports the distributed remote collaboration by stressing, warning, and presenting keywords/summaries in multimedia. Effects of presenting keywords/summaries adaptively depending on situations are evaluated as to the decrease of not-/misunderstanding possibilities during the explanation on the Cyberspace. Moreover, the adaptive selection effects of keywords or summaries presentation depending on cognitive profiles of remote members are also evaluated. These evaluations demonstrate the feasibility and usefulness of the proposed method.","PeriodicalId":128396,"journal":{"name":"2010 Sixth International Conference on Signal-Image Technology and Internet Based Systems","volume":"48 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-12-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128409842","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

For that purpose, we consider the well known organization based access control model (OrBAC) to express policy due to the intrinsic dynamic nature of the healthcare environment. OrBAC advantage is that it can specify contextual authorizations and obligations using \"context\", a native notion of this model, which may be viewed as a set of conditions to be satisfied when activating a given authorization or obligation. We suggest the embedding of some useful information into one image, information that can be used for tracing or controlling the access/usage of this image. In a more general way, we discuss how loss less or reversible watermarking can be instrumented by the OrBAC model. The loss less property preserves the image diagnostic value but imposes some other constraints. We illustrate the potential of such a watermarking OrBAC access and usage rules based on a new reversible watermarking scheme we proposed. Based on its performances regarding different image modalities, we analyze how this one can be used to convey such access control elements.","PeriodicalId":128396,"journal":{"name":"2010 Sixth International Conference on Signal-Image Technology and Internet Based Systems","volume":"2 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-12-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126635135","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

ISs should be particularly adaptive and context-aware by managing and responding properly to occurring events. A need of integrating an adaptive and distributed event based system raises to lead to a diversity of proposed approaches and architectures. Unfortunately, the high level link between context and events is not explicitly considered in these systems. In this paper, we propose a metamodel coupling context and event metadata. The metamodel highlights some requirements considered in the definition of an event processing architecture to maximize communication security between distributed components. Context-aware event processing is a natural result of such architecture enabling the integration of context reasoning in event based systems. The proposal is used to implement an assistant prototype for passengers in the public transportation domain.","PeriodicalId":128396,"journal":{"name":"2010 Sixth International Conference on Signal-Image Technology and Internet Based Systems","volume":"37 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-12-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116329750","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Embedding fractal technology into an antenna makes it possible to reduce the physical size, increase its operating bandwidth and directivity. However, the technique can cause significant undesired harmonics problems associated with higher order modes of the antenna. This paper presents simulation and measurement work of a reduced size Koch fractal meander dipole antenna that has tunable capability of a reconfigurable operation within the observed range of 400Mhz to 3.5GHz. Each undesired harmonic is removed using one or two stubs. A microwave switch-able dipole antenna concept using Koch curve integrated with open circuit stubs is presented. The structure employed fractal technology that can eliminate higher order modes. With the utilization of Koch curves, the antenna size is reduced, but the number of higher order modes has proportionally increased. The size of the proposed antenna is small with regards to the operating frequency. The stub has improved the antenna performance.","PeriodicalId":128396,"journal":{"name":"2010 Sixth International Conference on Signal-Image Technology and Internet Based Systems","volume":"149 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-12-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125479611","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Moreover, online shop owners are required to hold various types of sales frequently throughout the year to keep customers coming back. However, along with these web pages, management of product DB (Data Base) is required to set up complicated sales contents with high efficiency and reliability. To satisfy this requirement, a sale-oriented online-shop management support method is proposed. In this method, using a sale management web page, online-shop owners can efficiently and reliably construct attractive sale pages consistent with their DB, using hierarchical sale knowledge created by a software agent and modified by them. Namely, the automatic construction and interactive modifications of sale pages as well as the automatic/interactive update of DB for each sale product group can be done consistently and dynamically, synchronized with the sale.","PeriodicalId":128396,"journal":{"name":"2010 Sixth International Conference on Signal-Image Technology and Internet Based Systems","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-12-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130715059","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Engineers have to use new knowledge management methods and tools in order to support a comprehensive PLM approach. In this paper, we propose a new product model called “KCModel” focused on interoperability issues and coherence between design and simulation models in the early phases of the mechanical design cycle. The large number of CAD models and simulation representations involved in these early phases increase the difficulty to share and maintain the coherence of design data related to different views of the product. The KC Model is based on data organization and product information as generic entities and configurations of critical knowledge [2]. The product model provides a framework to create a database of generic and cross-functional entities with other expert domains. These entities are then instantiated and contextualized into configurations. These configurations are organized into a hierarchical project structure to be directly connected and synchronized with the CAD models and simulation models. By securing the coherence and trace ability of the parameters, relationships and rules to be used, the KC Model optimizes the reliability of the design process during the early phases of the product/simulation couple, thereby reducing the number of engineering routine cycles. The model fits particularly well in a more comprehensive product model as the MD-MV [3] and achieves a high level of interoperability between the different components from the expert views.","PeriodicalId":128396,"journal":{"name":"2010 Sixth International Conference on Signal-Image Technology and Internet Based Systems","volume":"4 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-12-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130742795","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

We present here, a comprehensive explanation of our approach which integrates an intelligent reuse module of knowledge that allows engineers to capitalize their know-how. This knowledge will be extracted by web services that enable communication between several business applications. Then in the second section, we describe different ontologies which are created by users depending on their needs to define knowledge. Conventionally, an N-point DFT of a sequentially arriving data is computed only after the arrival of the N th sample. For applications involving ANC, such an approach will overload the processor. In this paper, an alternative method to compute the DFT is proposed, which distributes the computations over a span of several sampling instants. As an example to prove the efficiency of the proposed algorithm, it is applied to the reduced delay-less frequency-domain block filtered-x least-mean-square (RD-FBFXLMS) algorithm, wherein about 24% (for a block length of 1024 samples) of the multiplications and about 29% of additions (which were supposed to have been done at the last sampling instant of each block) are shifted to earlier sampling instants during which the processor is idle. The percentage of computational redistribution will be higher for multi channel non-linear systems.","PeriodicalId":128396,"journal":{"name":"2010 Sixth International Conference on Signal-Image Technology and Internet Based Systems","volume":"15 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-12-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134031891","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
