Such rolling mills are often used for the formation of conical profiles at the ends of workpieces by moving the rollers during the rolling process. This results in the changing of instantaneous metal volumes at the vertical stand output and horizontal stand input and the formation of tensions or workpiece damming. In well-known control systems, electric drive speeds for these stands is based on the requirement of constant instantaneous metal volumes in inter-stand gaps. When automated roller gap adjustment is used during rolling, this condition is not fulfilled. The authors justify the adjustment principle for the electric drive speeds of consecutive stands based on the constant metal weight criterion. The authors developed a control method for the electric drive speed of the vertical stand in proportion to the changing of the gap during screwdown movements. This article presents the results of simulation modeling confirming the compensation of tension deviation during the changing of the roller speed ratio for the horizontal and vertical stand. The method developed is deemed effective. The authors provided some recommendations on its introduction.","PeriodicalId":128083,"journal":{"name":"2022 International Conference on Industrial Engineering, Applications and Manufacturing (ICIEAM)","volume":"7 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-05-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115739570","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The high absorption intensity of electromagnetic waves energy by such environments significantly reduces the range of reception/transmission, depending on the radio frequency band used. Furthermore, if a transceiver is placed inside a hermetically sealed frame, for example, in a deep-sea autonomous module, data exchange with external devices becomes impossible due to the opacity of its metal shell for electromagnetic waves. The article analyzes the possibility of using a sonic channel to organize stable reception and transmission of data and energy.","PeriodicalId":128083,"journal":{"name":"2022 International Conference on Industrial Engineering, Applications and Manufacturing (ICIEAM)","volume":"5 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-05-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114613501","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

There are several complex factors that hinder the performance of this task, e.g., fluid and rigid-body physics. Moreover, real vehicles have different designs and dimensions. That fact complicates the calculations of dynamic parameters and requires the use of known approximation methods. This article discusses the research of uncertainties in the parameters of two different forms of underwater vehicle model approximations: cylindrical and rectangular prism. We simulate an underwater vehicle with several parameters, changed in the grid, and then compare the resulting paths. Several hot-blast stoves combined into a block are used for continuous hot air supply to the blast furnace. Every hot-blast stove in the block has unique characteristics. The characteristics can be taken into account in synchronous operation within the blast furnace unit to increase the heat output and the temperature of the hot air blown into the blast furnace. Uncontrolled checkerwork degradation occurs during the hot-blast stove process. This leads to the necessity of adjusting the operating modes of every hot-blast stove. Adjusting assumes changing the periods time of the hot-blast stove process while heating and blast. It is necessary to continuously assess the hot-blast stove thermal efficiency by indirect characteristics due to impossibility to control the checkerwork state. The simplified simulation model of the heat transfer process in hot-blast stove checkerwork is proposed. The simulation model is preliminarily adapted to a new hot-blast stove. Continuous comparison of blast parameters from the real hot-blast stove with parameters calculated in the simulation model of the heat transfer process makes it possible to evaluate the efficiency of every hot-blast stove throughout its lifetime. The simulation model using in the switching control system makes it possible to adj ust heating and blast for every hot-blast stove in the block in order to obtain the maximum temperature of hot air supplied to the blast furnace, which will reduce specific coke consumption during cast iron smelting.","PeriodicalId":128083,"journal":{"name":"2022 International Conference on Industrial Engineering, Applications and Manufacturing (ICIEAM)","volume":"117 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-05-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117279650","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Failure statistics and analysis of traction motors damaging is provided, locations of moisture infiltration to the smallest cracks and pores of insulation material and grooves are identified; the above faults are due to the imperfection of traction motor armature design which significantly reduces electrical and mechanical strength of insulation; moisturization of insulation is especially intense when moisture is increased on the background of an abrupt increase in ambient temperature. Uneven overheating and over-moistening of the armature open end-winding insulation is noted which leads to a local decrease in reliability of this part of a traction electrical machine. In order to do so, feedforwards are added to the control system to speed up reference processing and compensate for the disturbances. Feedforwards are usually set up manually when the machine is being set up, either by applying a series of test actions to the motor, or by calculation. The calculation requires information about the disturbance values, which can be compensated by corresponding feedforwards, but this data is not always available a priori. In this paper, we propose to tune the feedforward coefficients based on the results of parametric identification of the values of the torques applied to the electric drive, as well as its inertia. The method of tuning the parameters of the control system of electric feed drive based on parametric identification is proposed. The results of control system modeling show both high identification accuracy and significant reduction of dynamic control error when feedforwards are enabled.","PeriodicalId":128083,"journal":{"name":"2022 International Conference on Industrial Engineering, Applications and Manufacturing (ICIEAM)","volume":"48 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-05-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129328345","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Therefore, highly effective protection of such objects becomes especially important and necessary. Switching off short-circuit currents in DC circuits is a more difficult task than in AC networks. This is due to the absence of a short-circuit current transition through zero in DC circuits. A mechanical switch is used to interrupt the short-circuit current. In parallel to its contacts, a circuit with an oscillating circuit is switched on. When the switch contacts are opened, current fluctuations occur with a point of zero value. This leads to an interruption of the short-circuit current. To increase the efficiency of switching off the short-circuit current, it is necessary to open the switch contacts in the shortest time after the occurrence of a short circuit. This article discusses the principles of constructing a relay protection device with maximum performance. The relay protection acts on the mechanical switch, which leads to the opening of its contacts. The principles of building high-speed protection and algorithms for its implementation are presented.","PeriodicalId":128083,"journal":{"name":"2022 International Conference on Industrial Engineering, Applications and Manufacturing (ICIEAM)","volume":"42 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-05-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122376386","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
