We propose in this paper, a CAD to detect CA in DSA angiographic images by combining different methods for robust features/interest points detector which are Maximally Stable Extremal Regions (MSER), Speed Up Robust Features (SURF) and Scale Invariant Feature Transform (SIFT). The results on the proposed CAD over the provided benchmark are very encouraging.","PeriodicalId":128011,"journal":{"name":"2018 5th International Conference on Control, Decision and Information Technologies (CoDIT)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-04-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130844137","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

For that purpose, we conducted several authorship attribution experiments applied to different noise Arabic text. A special dataset, called “A4P” (Authorship Attribution for Ancient Arabic Philosophers), has been constructed by extracting texts from the books of 5 Ancient Arabic Philosophers, where the genre and the topic are similar. In our approach two types of features were employed; character N-grams and words and several classifiers are used, namely: Support Vector Machines, Multi Layer Perceptron, Linear Regression, Stamatatos distance and Manhattan distance. The obtained results show that the failure limit and classification performances depend on the used features, the classification technique and the level of noise. In the overall the performances of the proposed techniques are quite interesting by showing the effect of noise on authorship attribution.","PeriodicalId":128011,"journal":{"name":"2018 5th International Conference on Control, Decision and Information Technologies (CoDIT)","volume":"18 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-04-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132171714","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

To enhance the potential of these hybrid systems, it is essential to develop an energy management strategy (EMS) to distribute the required power properly between various components of the hybrid system. This paper therefore aims to develop an efficient EMS for DC hybrid electric marine vessels (HEMVs). The proposed EMS builds a set of operation rules which are based on the system states including power demands, engine states and battery performances to minimize the total consumed energy of the system and thus increase the power efficiency. The performance of the proposed EMS has been validated through numerical simulations.","PeriodicalId":128011,"journal":{"name":"2018 5th International Conference on Control, Decision and Information Technologies (CoDIT)","volume":"34 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-04-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131574680","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Much R&D is currently focused on creating methods to efficiently handle an influx of data. Flow based programming, where data is moved through a network of processes, is a model well suited to IoT. This paper proposes a dynamic, distributed data processing architecture, utilizing a flow based programming inspired approach. We illustrate a distributed configuration management protocol, which coordinates processing between edge devices and a central controller. Our proposed architecture is evaluated in a vehicle use case that predicts driver alertness. We present a scenario for reducing data on vehicular networks when the connectivity options are limited, while maintaining computational accuracy.","PeriodicalId":128011,"journal":{"name":"2018 5th International Conference on Control, Decision and Information Technologies (CoDIT)","volume":"32 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-04-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133864173","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

We define Fractal Petri Nets as a net which is dynamically synthesized from self-similar Place/Transition subnets on the base of algebraic operations. Fractal Petri nets are considered as distributed. This means, that every self-similar subnet can be considered autonomously. Resources can be shared between subnets of Fractal net. For purpose of modelling shared resources the operation of overlapping places of the subnets is introduced. To investigate dynamic properties of Fractal Petri Nets a Pattern-type Reachability Analysis is developed. It is helpful for understandability and readability of complicated reachability trees.","PeriodicalId":128011,"journal":{"name":"2018 5th International Conference on Control, Decision and Information Technologies (CoDIT)","volume":"50 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-04-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115172053","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Once deployed, their maintenance depends on the data collected on their status, and the decisions on due corrective actions. The more regular this data collection and decision cycle is, the better confidence their operator has on effective and proper service. Proactive maintenance, in general, targets exactly this: rather than scheduling maintenance actions based on operating hours or servicing volume, actions should be taken when it is really needed. This requires the effective combination of data collection, analysis, presentation and decision making processes. The MANTIS project proposes a reference architecture for proactive maintenance, supported by the concept of cyber-physical systems. Besides suggesting data collection, processing and presentation methods and tools for this, the results were applied in various domains - including production systems, the energy grid, utility vehicles, or railways. The current paper presents data collection, analysis and presentation concepts related to proactive maintenance, applied on railway switches.","PeriodicalId":128011,"journal":{"name":"2018 5th International Conference on Control, Decision and Information Technologies (CoDIT)","volume":"160 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-04-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116119199","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The product quality decays continuously over time. The objective is to determine the optimal continuous price function and replenishment cycle time simultaneously maximizing the unit time profit. Holding cost is not considered and shortages are not allowed. A number of examples are considered to illustrate the dynamics of the optimal policy under linear decreasing of the product quality and different assumptions regarding demand.","PeriodicalId":128011,"journal":{"name":"2018 5th International Conference on Control, Decision and Information Technologies (CoDIT)","volume":"30 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-04-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123723459","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The aim is to evaluate the operation the 1MW solar furnace in the framework of automatic temperature stress experiments, where material samples are submitted to temperature cycles. In particular, it must track the temperature profiles selected by the user and, must compensate temperature changes induced by sun power variability caused by weather conditions. A simplified model is developed to capture the main dynamics of the solar furnace. This includes the temperature dynamic model of the material sample and a model for the on-off operation of the heliostats, that have transport delays and impose quantized power levels. The controller is designed in the discrete time framework. It uses the temperature profile and the information that is provided by temperature and direct normal irradiance sensors to schedule on real-time the number of heliostats.","PeriodicalId":128011,"journal":{"name":"2018 5th International Conference on Control, Decision and Information Technologies (CoDIT)","volume":"353 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-04-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122946700","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Since discrete time descriptor systems are subject to certain consistency conditions in order for a solution to exist, we consider the problem of constructing an admissible input that can drive the system in any reachable state (or the origin) and that also satisfies the consistency conditions. This is done by first decomposing the system into its two subsystems, via the Weierstrass decomposition. Furthermore, algebraic criteria regarding the reachability and controllability of a descriptor system that involve its causal and non-causal subsystems are formulated.","PeriodicalId":128011,"journal":{"name":"2018 5th International Conference on Control, Decision and Information Technologies (CoDIT)","volume":"519 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-04-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123118142","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
