The controller consists of an adaptive learning-based control law and a switching function mechanism. The adaptive control law is implemented by a two-layer neural network and the switching function is designed to automatically search for the correct switching vector to turn off the unknown faulty actuator if there is any. The stability of the system output under the occurrence of actuator failure is proved through standard Lyapunov approach, while the other signals are guaranteed to be bounded. The theoretical result is substantiated by a simulation example with a continuous stirred tank reactor.","PeriodicalId":128006,"journal":{"name":"2012 International Conference on Machine Learning and Cybernetics","volume":"32 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-07-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131107709","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Hence the navigability is the most important issue in designing websites. Many navigability measures have been proposed with different aspects. Applying information theory, a stack-based Markov model is proposed to represent the structure of a website and to include more surfing behavior. The dynamic users' log data is used to evaluate navigability of a web page. The entropy ratio is proposed to represent the navigability of web pages. Experimental results show the relation between entropy ratio and characteristic of a web page is quit close. Applying the entropy ratio of a web page, the web page can be recognized as a type of page which is good or not.","PeriodicalId":128006,"journal":{"name":"2012 International Conference on Machine Learning and Cybernetics","volume":"298 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-07-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131639562","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The fuzzy concept operators defined under the condition that the truth values (degrees) coming from a complete residuated lattice satisfy many interesting properties. Conversely, fuzzy concept operators can be characterized in terms of their properties. In this paper, the axiomatic approaches in the theory of fuzzy formal concept analysis based on a complete residuated lattice are presented. In the axiomatic approach, the fuzzy conceptual knowledge system is defined, and axiom sets satisfied by the fuzzy conceptual knowledge system are stated. It is proved that axioms of the fuzzy conceptual knowledge system guarantee the existence of certain types of binary fuzzy relations producing the same fuzzy formal concepts. The independence of axiom sets characterizing the fuzzy conceptual knowledge system is examined.","PeriodicalId":128006,"journal":{"name":"2012 International Conference on Machine Learning and Cybernetics","volume":"24 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-07-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131870471","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

These systems are step by step. If the results in the previous step are improper, the current step will produce improper results. Furthermore, the binarization methods in DA to threshold an A4-sized color image are inefficient because they scan the entire image at least once. The block segmentation methods in DA to segment an A4-sized binary image are inefficient since they scan the entire image at least twice. The layout analysis methods in DA are also inefficient. They use global and local analysis and scan the entire image at least once. In this article, an intelligent, efficient, and effective document processing system is proposed to solve the abovementioned problems. The proposed method includes document binarization and mixed-based layout analysis. The binarization method only scans the border image. The mixed-based layout analysis mixed uses block segmentation and classification. The block segmentation only scans the background image. The block classification uses background gap and writing format to classify blocks. Experimental results show that the performance of the proposed method is better than FineReader 11.0 in visual measurement.","PeriodicalId":128006,"journal":{"name":"2012 International Conference on Machine Learning and Cybernetics","volume":"46 3 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-07-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115078871","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

But, with the increase in the number of palmprint samples, these features are not powerful enough. In order to solve the problem, the paper proposes a new approach to enhance the distinguishing capability of texture features for palm print recognition. It uses classical results on Riemannian geometry to obtain the information of palm lines and construct direction fields of palm lines. The direction fields become a part of the textures of the palmprint image to enhance the distinguishing capability of texture features. Finally, the dual-tree complex wavelet transform-based local binary pattern weighted histogram method (DT -CWT based LBPWH) is used to extract enhanced texture features. The experimental results validate the effectiveness of the method.","PeriodicalId":128006,"journal":{"name":"2012 International Conference on Machine Learning and Cybernetics","volume":"71 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-07-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114293857","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
