Tefenni Plain, Beyköy (Abdülmelik) Plain and Çaylı Mountain Village, which are located at 3 different altitudes, were chosen as the study area. Pitfall traps were placed in agro-ecosystems of anise and fennel in each region and epigean insect species caught with pitfall traps were checked weekly. A total of 2086 individuals belonging to 117 epigean insect species, mostly from the carabid family, were sampled. The highest number of individuals were sampled in Tf and Ta with 841 and 440, respectively. The results of Shannon-Wiener diversity were found to be the highest in Ta with 2.7893 while the lowest was found in Ca with 2.1775. Similar to Shannon-Wiener diversity results, Simpson diversity results were calculated as highest in Ta with 0.9196 and lowest in Ca with 0.7813. Simpson's dominance results determined that Ca was the highest dominant agro-ecosystem with 0.2187. The second and third most dominant agro-ecosystems were found to be Tf and Cf with 0.1847, 0.1635, respectively. According to both Shannon and Simpson Evenness; the population densities of epigean species living in Bf and Ba were found to be more balanced than in other agro-ecosystems. The percentage similarity analysis shows that the regions selected in different altitudes were more similar to each other than the plants of the same species. \u0000Contrary to expectations, it was observed that epigean insect species did not show distribution according to plant pattern and were not directly related to plants. Bu çalışma 2014 ile 2016 yılları arasında gerçekleştirilmiştir. Toplanan bitkiler kurutularak herbaryum materyali haline getirilmiş ve teşhisleri yapılmıştır. Araştırmada 46 familya 102 cinse ait, toplam 115 takson belirlenmiştir. Bu taksonlardan üç tanesinin endemik olduğu ve endemizm oranının %2.60 olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Çalışmada tespit edilen endemik taksonlar; Alkanna hispida Hub.-Mor. (Tehlikede - EN), Phlomis leucophracta Hub.-Mor. (Neredeyse Tehdit Altında - NT) ve Stachys rupestris Montbret & Aucher ex Bentham (En az endişe verici - LC)’dır. Örnekleme 3 hafta boyunca haftada bir olmak üzere toplam 6 kez yapılmıştır. Numuneleri yakalamak için tek taraflı kapıları içeriye doğru açılabilen tel kafesler kullanılmıştır. Kafeslerin içine yem olarak balık kalıntıları konmuştur. Aynı bireylerin tekrar sayılmasını engellemek için, her sayımdan sonra bireyler suya dayanıklı ve mor ışıkta görülebilen kalemle işaretlenmiştir. Örneklerin incelenmesi sırasında, dişi ve erkek bireylerin sayımları yapılmış ve kaydedilmiştir. Sayılan bireyler, işaretlemenin ardından habitatlarına geri bırakılmıştır. Nüfus sayımı sonunda düşük yağış ve kuraklığın da etkisiyle 2021 yılında nüfusta azalma olduğu gözlemlendi. 2020 yılında tespit edilen toplam örnek sayısı 196 iken, 2021 yılında 84 örnek tespit edilmiştir. Kemoterapötik bir ajan olan, sisplatin (CDPP), meme kanseri tedavisinde kullanılmakla birlikte ciddi yan etkilere sahiptir. Ayrıca, MCF-7 gibi meme kanseri hücrelerinin cisplatine karşı dirençli olması tedaviyi zorlaştırmaktadır. Çörek otunda bulunan ve fitokimyasal bir bileşik olan timokinon (TQ) farklı çalışmalarda antikanser ajan olarak uygulanmış ve araştırılmıştır. Bu in vitro çalışmadaki amaç, CDPP ve TQ kombinasyonunun MCF-7 hücre hattı üzerindeki antiproliferatif etkisini araştırmaktır. \u0000Bu çalışmada, MCF-7 hücreleri, 24 saat boyunca farklı TQ, CDDP konsantrasyonları ve timokinon:sisplatin kombinasyonları (TQ+CDDP) ile muamele edildi. Hücre canlılığı tayini için MTT testi ve koloni oluşumunu gözlemlemek için kristal viyole boyama yöntemleri uygulandı. MCF-7 hücre popülasyonunun %50’sini inhibe eden (IC50) değer ve kombinasyon index (CI) değerleri CompuSyn yazılım programı kullanılarak hesaplandı. \u0000MCF-7 hücreleri üzerinde TQ, CDDP ve TQ+CDDP’nin etkin dozlarının sırasıyla 58 μM, 32 μM ve 31 μM+17 μg/mL olduğu ve bu kombinasyon dozunun Fa=0.5 (IC50) olduğu durumda kombinasyon indeks değerinin 1.11 olduğu gösterildi. \u0000Sonuç olarak, TQ ve CDPP’nin tekli dozlarının MCF-7 meme kanseri hücre hattı üzerinde antiproliferatif etkiye sahip olduğu gösterildi. Freshwater Gastropods which are generally listed in primary consumer play a crucial part in aquatic environments by feeding numerous fish species and vertebrate species. They include species that are widely distributed in rivers and lakes and are used as indicators in aquatic systems monitoring studies. In Turkey, the Black Sea Region is also a privileged geography in terms of its topography and historical development history of aquatic systems, rich in rivers and lakes. In this research, field studies were conducted from 20 different stations in the Black Sea region in 2017-2018. Benthic macroinvertebrate samples were collected from lakes and rivers with an Ekman grab sampler and hand net. Samples were washed in situ and fixed with 70% ethyl alcohol. Totally 10442 benthic macroinvertebrate members belong to 21 taxa were determined in the study. In the region, Oligochaeta was the dominant taxa with 56.80% dominancy value and followed by Chironomidae and Gastropoda with 18.26 and 8.24, respectively. As third dominant taxa, Gastropoda members were consist of 870 individuals belong to 11 taxa. It was determined that Gyraulus elenae and Radix labiata from Gastropoda were widely distributed in the region. These species have broad tolerance to pollution. In the study, it was determined that both densities of species and population were increased in the regions of the rivers that are far from the settlement areas or that have not been intervened and in the littoral parts of the lakes. (Saffron, Fam. Iridaceae) is a medicinal, commercial, historical and economically important plant that has been used in the treatment of various diseases since ancient times. Saffron, which is generally used by the public to add flavor and color to dishes, is difficult to cultivate and harvest due to the use of only dried stigmas and is known as the most expensive spice in the world. The macroscopic and microscopic properties of the samples sold under the name \"Saffron\" from 10 different cities of Turkey, as well as the drying loss, foreign matter amount determination, total ash amount determination, color density determination, phosphomolybdic acid reaction and elongation determination analysis tests were conducted and their conformity with European Pharmacopoeia standards was investigated. In this study, saffron samples purchased from a local producer in Safranbolu (Standard 1) and grown by ourselves (Standard 2) were used. As a result of our study, it was determined by morphological and microscopic studies that samples 2 and 4 completely belonged to the Carthamus tinctorius L. (Safflower) plant.
