Projects, in comparison with other areas of activity, are associated with a higher level of risk due to their uniqueness. In addition, the implementation of most projects entails high investment outlays, in the absence of full knowledge about future project implementation periods. All these factors force project teams, and above all project managers, to apply appropriate risk identification methods. The article aims to compare the risk identification stage in the project management process used by project teams with the recommendations of experts. For this purpose, an analysis of surveys and interviews was used. The results of the conducted research allowed to show: how the risk is perceived, what risks particular attention is paid to, whether risk identification before the start of the project is important and what methods are used and recommended for this purpose.

Bank loans dominate in attracting financing in the Baltic States, and there has been limited research on overall the Baltic States stock market listed companies’ profile and financial standing. Therefore, it is necessary to analyze the stock market in the Baltic States as a whole. Therefore, the aim of the present research is to perform Baltic States stock market listed companies’ absolute value indicators thorough analysis using factor un cluster analysis. The research results showed that Baltic States stock market 50 listed companies’ 20 absolute value indicators comprehensive factor analysis aloud to conclude that this market is relatively homogeneous, but has a small number of very large companies with significantly different performance indicators, this was confirmed by cluster analysis outcome, allowing to define average Baltic States stock market listed company profile. The results of this analysis could be used for policy making to stimulate Baltic States stock market development in the future.

It also examines the link between the size and frequency of the price promotions. The paper uses data on 1,000 top-selling products from the ‘shoes’ category. It reaches three main conclusions. First, sales promotions improve product’s sales rank, and the larger the sales promotion, the larger this improvement is. Second, the effects of the sales promotion tend to be permanent, i.e. the sales rank remains lower 30 days after the sales promotion take place. Third, the frequency of the sales promotions is inversely related with their sizes.

This paper aims to find out the variation in sentiment towards different airlines and check whether the Twitter perception of airlines reflects their “real” performances. The result suggests that Delta and Southwest airlines have a relatively good reputation, while US Airways has a bad reputation. By examining the reasons for negative sentiment, we find that Twitter ranking reflects the "real" ranking based on the Department of Transportation data closely for mishandled luggage and canceled flights, but considerably less closely for delayed flights. This demonstrates that Twitter can provide a good reflection of reality, but this is not always the case.

The purpose of this study is to show competency factors, work culture and \u0000leadership behavior as causes of employee engagement on contract employees and their effects \u0000on performance. By distributing questionnaires to 258 outsourcing employees of the State \u0000Electricity Company (PLN) Jambi Area and using SEM AMOS in processing data, it was found \u0000that competence, work culture, leadership behavior and employee engagement had a significant \u0000positive effect on employee performance. Employee engagement acts as a full mediation in the \u0000relationship between competence, work culture and leadership behavior on performance. Work \u0000culture has the greatest influence on employee engagement. Construction industry all-around is vulnerable to socio-economic occurrences transpiring both globally and locally, which negatively impact the basic objectives of projects – time, quality and cost. With ever-growing possibilities of entering new markets, and new companies emerging from previously undeveloped countries, the contest for high profile and lucrative projects sharpens. The effectiveness and competitiveness of a construction company depends on its ability to withstand the influence of many disturbing factors of external and internal environments. Whether their roots are in external causes or internal causes, they appear at all stages of construction projects bringing the need to hire experts to tackle them. To mitigate these negative effects proper risk management techniques need to be applied to various construction activities, and out of years of scientific and field research it is determined that the most important ones are those that occur in the stage of preparation of a project. Delays which come out of improper realization of that stage result in increasing costs during the construction activities – therefore the amount of funding necessary for completing the project usually significantly increases, since the quality of the finished object must be as contracted. This paper presents an internal comparative analysis of losses caused by the effects of organizational and technological risks in construction of multiple residential buildings for which there wasn’t proper analysis of construction activities in preparation stage. Given analysis shows that there is a need to improve organizational and technological consciousness about the stage of construction preparation. with only out of The biggest loss was 10.52% and the biggest gain was Finally, also positive as with Half with in unsuccessfully with 6.01% look on results, also with it selves construction The

Innovation networks are classified into three forms: vertical value chains, horizontal intra industry chains and Triple Helix networks. The study assumes that certain types of proximities and the related network externalities assist the industry along its life-cycle from a young to a more mature stage. The three major research problems are being discussed: 1/the structure and types of knowledge flows and technology dynamics of high-tech industries, 2/ the role of proximities geographical, social, cognitive, technological, institutional and cultural in stimulating Triple Helix networks externalities, and 3/ relationship between technology dynamics, knowledge spillovers and types of proximities. The study applies qualitative research and case study methods in the two high-tech industries: life sciences and aviation industries clusters. The results prove that despite different origins and founding models of the analised clusters they both display some similar as well as distinct patterns of interrelationships between different types of proximities and knowledge spillovers (that sustain regional innovation activity). All of levels of proximities have an important role to play in the innovation networks, both formal and informal. The results suggest that more focused policy measures are needed to optimise knowledge exchange and innovativeness within the high-tech clusters.

More specifically, the paper elucidates the associated mechanisms that explain how the exchange of personnel help reduce agency risk, and synthesize them in an integrative framework. Further the qualitative study shows the reasons bi-directional exchange of personnel takes place, and show how their actions differs in function of the direction of the transfer. Based on that insight, we identify three main mechanisms whereby expatriation helps reduce agency risk in offshore outsourcing namely i) via a reduction in the information asymmetry between clients and offshore providers, ii) via the increased motivation of offshore teams to comply with clients’ expectations, and iii) via the empowered trust between clients and offshore providers. The study also points to a number of possible drawbacks client firms must account for when planning to send expatriates to offshore providers, and which further explains that the reverse process of welcoming expatriates from offshore providers into the client organization holds significant potential to offshore outsourcing relations.
