These particles settle in the beds and on the banks of the rivers\u0000during displacement and collects complex chemical compounds. particles that are\u0000equal to or smaller than 0.02 mm in size have good adsorption capacity. but as a result of further hydraulic and hydro-chemical impacts, these particles desorbs and\u0000pollute water for the second time. In Germany, the content of bottom sediments is\u0000examined every 3 to 5 years during monitoring of the studies of river water. During\u0000the monitoring, samples of bottom sediment taken from different spots of the river\u0000are analyzed and based on the results of these analyses, polluted parts of the river\u0000are determined. Comparison of measured value of the elements with the norms accepted is made to determine which part of the river is polluted. Classification is provided based on the pollution degree of the bottom sediments.\u0000Adsorption of salts and organic substances by the bottom sediments shows the\u0000adsorption capacity of the bottom sediments. Thus, taking into account the abovementioned, it is planned to determine and compare the adsorption capacity of the\u0000bottom sediments in difference locations of the Kish River.\u0000Studies of the bottom sediments of the Kish River are provided. Study of the\u0000chemical composition of the bottom sediments in the rivers determines the adsorption capacity of the bottom sediments. It is known that during spring and autumn\u0000when the water level is higher in the rivers, the water received by the river washes\u0000the suspended solids from the riverbed and surrounding areas. These suspended\u0000solids are composed of organic and inorganic matters. Analyses were conducted to\u0000study the content of the bottom sediments of the Kish River. During the analyses,\u0000anions (CL–\u0000, SO2+4, HCO–\u00003) and cations (Na++K+\u0000, Mg2+, Ca2+), their groups and\u0000classes according to O.A.Alyokin, relationships, some chemical characteristics, salt\u0000content, chemical oxygen demand (COD), biological oxygen demand (BOD5), bacteriological parameters were studied. The results of the analyses were compared and\u0000the amount of the salts adsorbed by the bottom sediments of this river was determined.\u0000Key words: water objects, bottom sediments, ion content, ratio of anionsand\u0000cations, salt content, chemical oxygen demand (COD) biochemical oxygen demand\u0000(BOD5).

The article is dedicated to the determination of the wash depth of mountain rivers in floods and overflows. As well-known, hydrotechnical equipment is exposed to destructive damages of the floods and overflows. The undersurface of\u0000bridge basement and coast guards are washed away, the surface of drainage devices\u0000in water supply and dams (Düker) at river crossings are opened up. Therefore, the\u0000protection of the equipment against the destructive damage of the floods and overflows should be ensured. To this aim, first of all, the depth of the fortification of the\u0000equipment basement in riverbeds and the width through which the river can flow\u0000should be determined and the works of installing coast guards should be accordingly\u0000implemented.\u0000Since the flow regime of rivers due to floods in the course of mountain riverbeds\u0000dramatically changes, the width, depth, roughness and cross-sectional area of the\u0000riverbed also changes. To that reason, in the smallest case, calculation formulas includes the average width and wash depth of the riverbed in the course of the floods\u0000and overflows, average diameter of undersurface soils, the slope of the location of\u0000hydrotechnical structures, velocity due to the average diameter of the riverbed soils\u0000and so on.\u0000The article contains the analyses of theoretical and practical materials about the\u0000floods and overflows in mountain rivers. For the rivers flowing through the southern\u0000hills of Great Caucasus Mountains, the expressions for determining the riverbed parameters and hydrological parameters of rivers are used. According to the expressions, average width due to non-washing of the riverbed in floods in accordance\u0000with flood flow and slope of the studied part of the riverbed, the average depth of\u0000the riverbed crossing the flood, the average velocity of the flow and the wash depth\u0000in accordance with them are determined. basing on all these, the determining method\u0000of the wash depth of mountain riverbeds in floods have been worked out and determining the wash depth have been recorded. The studied methodology can be used\u0000in determining the riverbed parameters in floods and overflows.\u0000Keywords: Flood, riverbed deformation, mountain river, wash depth, average\u0000diameter of undersurface sediments, riverbed stability, flood velocity

Karabakh is one of the main regions in Azerbaijan where local water\u0000resources are formed. The article calculated the water resources of the area using\u0000the data of hydrological observation stations operating on the Karabakh rivers before\u0000the occupation. For research and analysis of average annual water discharge, multiyear observation data of hydrological stations operating on the Karabakh rivers were\u0000collected and integrated into the SpSS Statistics program. For the study multi-year\u0000average observation data of 32 hydrological stations in 20 rivers were collected. In\u0000order to determine the exact location of the hydrological stations operating in the\u0000area, a map was compiled using the Geographic Information System with reference\u0000to the fund and archive materials. In addition, hydrological zoning of the flow was\u0000carried out depending on the orographic features of Karabakh. During the analysis,\u0000two hydrological regions were identified. The first hydrological region is the Tartarchay-Guruchay hydrological region, and the second region is hakari-Oлchuchay\u0000hydrological region.\u0000As a result of the study, it was determined that the water resources of the Karabakh\u0000rivers are 1.64 km3\u0000, which is 5.31% of the total water resources of Azerbaijan. During\u0000the implementation of water management measures in the area, in order to ensure\u0000the water security of the area, the resource potential of atmospheric precipitation\u0000and river flow for the area was analyzed and maps were compiled.\u0000Keywords: Karabakh rivers, hydrological station, water catchment area, water\u0000resources, water balance, hydrological zoning
