In Computer Aided Diagnosis (CAD) system for cancer detection, orientation of mammograms in a particular direction is important, so that for all the images, breast tissue should be displayed at similar position for the post-usage of CAD software. In proposed heuristic approach, pattern based radon transform is applied to detect the orientation of mammograms. The two orthogonal radon projections derive the orientation of chest wall and pectoral muscle. Depending upon input orientation to CAD, the proposed method flips or rotates mammogram. The algorithm was tested on 240 images, 100 images from miniMIAS, 100 computed radiography images and 40 full field digital mammogram images. For 98.75% of position invariant cases, orientation was detected and corrected. Due to its robustness, simplicity and fast speed, the method may be used for automatically detecting and correcting orientation of mammograms in CAD analysis.","PeriodicalId":127139,"journal":{"name":"2015 7th International Conference on Emerging Trends in Engineering & Technology (ICETET)","volume":"33 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117283528","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Macrophages are well known in the biology area. Recently, we can visualize macrophages in vivo. Some observation data such as movies are available for analyzing macrophages' behavior. The goal of our research is to find rules of behavior of macrophages. As the first step for finding rules, we have developed a simulator which is able to imitate macrophages' behavior in four-dimensional space. In our previous research, just two short movies which were recorded behaviors of macrophages in a living mouse were available for constructing our simulator. Now, we have some more movies which are recoded more complex condition than the previous two movies. In our previous works, we have proposed an evolving 2D-cellular automata based method. Actually, macrophage observation data are multiple 2D images which are obtained by multiple depth. However, researchers desire to analyze macrophages in the 3D space with the target elapsed time. Therefore, we propose an evolving 3D-cellular automata based method in this paper. 2D cells which define neighborhoods are extended cubic cells in 3D space. Transition rules for cellular automata are defined in such cubic cells.","PeriodicalId":127139,"journal":{"name":"2015 7th International Conference on Emerging Trends in Engineering & Technology (ICETET)","volume":"57 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115287504","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

According to Electricity Act 2003, the government of India decided to electrify all villages that were not yet electrified. To achieve this target, new hybrid renewable energy system is necessary in the rural area where the energy consumption pattern is low due to very limited number of end use devices. The socio-economic psychology also restricts them to change their lifestyle. So without disturbing the balance, the lone solution is environmental planning and modeling. This paper presents the simulation and optimization of hybrid PV-Wind renewable energy system. The research tool used for simulation and optimization is the Hybrid Optimization Model for Electric Renewable (HOMER) developed by National Renewable Energy Laboratory. Sensitivity analysis is also carried out which helps to assess the effect of uncertainty or changes in the variables and finding the most optimal solution for hybrid energy system.","PeriodicalId":127139,"journal":{"name":"2015 7th International Conference on Emerging Trends in Engineering & Technology (ICETET)","volume":"88 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124998717","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This paper presents effective design of CNTFET based digital logic gates and associated with current CMOS technology. The designs equally exhibited for CNTFET and CMOS technology, using Stanford University CNTFET model and PTM (Predictive Technology Model) independently. The compacted SPICE model is used for design and simulations of CNTFET based circuits. The typical model is designed for CNTFET which is same as MOSFET and consists of multiple carbon Nano tube. HSPICE simulation for the basic logic gates designed using Stanford University CNTFET model and PTM technologies and output performances have been extensively calculated with varying power supply with constant temperature. The power consumption and total delay of basic logic gates is calculated by substituting the CNTFET instead of MOSFET.","PeriodicalId":127139,"journal":{"name":"2015 7th International Conference on Emerging Trends in Engineering & Technology (ICETET)","volume":"42 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127611704","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Preventative safety technology is therefore the most urgent issue, and human monitoring technique becomes the centre of attention. Physiological responses to external stimuli have been vigorously investigated and physiological indices such as 'eheart rate variability' were established to estimate the activities of one's autonomic nervous system. The purpose of this research is to study the feasibility of measuring heartbeat and respiration by using strain gauge. The proposed method has several advantages of possibility of simultaneous measurement of heartbeat and respiration with no electrode and with minimum invasiveness. This paper deals with the application of this new technique to man and dog.","PeriodicalId":127139,"journal":{"name":"2015 7th International Conference on Emerging Trends in Engineering & Technology (ICETET)","volume":"71 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117096880","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Related researchers also pointed out that game Apps are the largest source of revenue compared to other Apps. In order to attract more customers to use, App developers made a number of ways, for example, free or trial Apps, prepayment which can obtain more services, providing complete free App but customers need to do in-App purchases if they have advanced needs, or click on the ads to get extra content and services. Game Apps developers need to design products to satisfy customers' demands and attract more mobile device users to download, and consumption within the App. Recent surveys reported that in-App purchases will be the major trend. Therefore, game App manufacturers need to know which factor is crucial for increasing in-App purchase behaviors. Therefore, this study attempts to define potential factor set of game Apps and then use back-propagation neural network (BPN) based feature selection method to identify crucial important factors of influencing in-app purchases for game App users. The extracted factors can help game developers to improve their design for increasing the revenue.","PeriodicalId":127139,"journal":{"name":"2015 7th International Conference on Emerging Trends in Engineering & Technology (ICETET)","volume":"80 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130364607","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In general, the control system of inverted wheeled robots is designed on the assumption that the ground does not move. However, a ship has six degrees of freedom. Therefore, a method of predicting the ship's motion was required in order to control the balancing inverted wheeled robot on the ship. This study was focused on the ship's rolling motion. On the ship, the rolling motion was predicted by the autoregressive model and a Kalman filter. Then, the inverted wheeled robot was controlled by adding accelerations to the inverted wheeled robot for canceling out the inertia forces of the predicted rolling motion. The effectiveness of the proposed control system was indicated with experimental results.","PeriodicalId":127139,"journal":{"name":"2015 7th International Conference on Emerging Trends in Engineering & Technology (ICETET)","volume":"44 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132951951","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The method is based on support vector machines (SVM's) and genetic algorithm (GA). We assume that each of patients' data belongs to one of the classes named by three power formulas. We therefore consider the formula selection to be the issue of classifying patients' data. Since three formulas have variables associated with axial length and corneal refractive power, we always employ them as elements in data. If there are elements probably useful in classifying the data, they are found by GA. We construct the final discrimination model by SVM learning using data with the above elements. The model consists of three coordinate spaces, each of which has two regions corresponding to two formulas. A space provides a potential solution. We finally take a majority of the potential solutions, and determine the formula suitable to some patient specified by it. We show that the proposed method achieves the most favorable percentage of concordance for the classification, if the two-point crossover technique is adopted in GA.","PeriodicalId":127139,"journal":{"name":"2015 7th International Conference on Emerging Trends in Engineering & Technology (ICETET)","volume":"120 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124218859","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
