To analyse periodical health checkup data, three approaches are introduced. The first approach is based on fuzzy set. It converts all attributes of health checkup data into fuzzy degrees by defining fuzzy membership functions. It enables us to manipulate all attributes in the same scale. The second approach analyses relationships between attributes of specific health examination data to cope with lifestyle diseases. It uses self-organizing maps, and clarifies the relationships among hemoglobin A1c (HbA1c), glutamic-oxaloacetic transaminase, glutamic-pyruvic transaminase, gamma-glutamyl transpeptidase, and triglyceride. The third approach predicts HbA1c fluctuations using decision tree. If we can predict the fluctuation, we can extract knowledge about what element will trigger developing diabetes. Through our examination, BMI will be the largest influencer about HbA1c fluctuations. Daily understanding of own condition is the first step of maintaining our health. A MEMS-based small and flexible monitoring device has been developed by the ERATO Maenaka human-sensing fusion project. We propose a condition estimation method using the monitoring device and FNN-based condition estimation. Experimental results show that it is a promising method for condition understanding. Cerebral vascular disease is one of major lifestyle diseases, and is caused by cerebral aneurysms. To predict the diseases, we should analyse cerebral arteries and aneurysms using magnetic resonance angiography images. This paper introduces an automated analysis method for early detection of aneurysms.","PeriodicalId":127139,"journal":{"name":"2015 7th International Conference on Emerging Trends in Engineering & Technology (ICETET)","volume":"62 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132337723","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The term sustainable utilization intends the use of quarry dust to their full potential to cope up with the needs of the present, on the contrary conserving natural resources and finding solutions to minimize the environmental impacts associated both with quarry fines production and its disposal. Concrete mixes were casted using ordinary river sand and compared with 25%, 50%, 75%, 100% replacement with quarry dust in combination with waste plastic in fabriform. The addition of quarry dust along with waste plastic significantly improved the concrete matrix properties in terms of strength. Regression analysis and validation of the models developed was done to co-relate the results of compressive strength for 7, 14, 28, 90 days. The addition of fine quarry dust with ldpe as waste plastic in concrete resulted in improved matrix densification compared to conventional concrete. Fresh and hardened concrete properties have been tested on concrete containing natural sand along with quarry dust and waste plastic. An attempt has been made to prepare mathematical models for predicting 14, 28, 90 days compressive strength of concrete. The results have been compared with that of SPSS software. The models so prepared have been validated and the error lies within the permissible limit of tolerance. It is found that quarry dust in addition to waste plastic as filler improves the mechanical properties of concrete when used along with super plasticizer.","PeriodicalId":127139,"journal":{"name":"2015 7th International Conference on Emerging Trends in Engineering & Technology (ICETET)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129358804","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this paper, an attempt is made to propose a system to recognize head gesture in real time from the video sequences using adaboost algorithm. The proposed system is based on a sequence of four main stages: data acquisition that is image capturing, pre processing means filtering, feature extraction that is rectangular features and a parallel stage with a cascade of classifiers design and classification. Various experiments were performed and the results demonstrate that, the system can successfully recognize head gestures using adaboost algorithm. The gesture recognition from the video sequences is one of the most important challenges in the computer vision. It offers to the system, the ability to identify, recognize and interpret the human head gestures in order to control some devices.","PeriodicalId":127139,"journal":{"name":"2015 7th International Conference on Emerging Trends in Engineering & Technology (ICETET)","volume":"99 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115005495","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

But due to dealay spread in non-flat fading channels abrupt the functioning of MIMO system. The impulse response of the channel in orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM), is flat in each sub carrier. Hence, MIMO with OFDM can be used effectively in non flat fading channels. MIMO OFDM system requires many independent baseband processors thereby increasing hardware complexity of the system. So there is a need to reduce the hardware complexity of FFT/IFFT processor. These two operations requires dissimilar power and execution time on WSN node. In binary method of scalar multiplication, point addition always corresponds to 1 and point doubling corresponds to 0. The private key of the WSN node is recoded in the form of 1 and 0, while doing scalar multiplication. All these knowledge in the public domain provides sufficient side channel leakage at lower levels to the attacker to know the entire key in the sequence of 1 and 0 by analyzing power consumption of microcontroller and time required for execution on WSN node for particular cryptographic routine. These types of attacks are not theoretical and can be carried out with instruments such as power oscilloscopes to measure the power consumption of sensor nodes while implementing cryptographic algorithm. This paper also discuss the counter measures available for defending simple power analysis attacks.","PeriodicalId":127139,"journal":{"name":"2015 7th International Conference on Emerging Trends in Engineering & Technology (ICETET)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131115280","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It can learn the timing of output spikes, but cannot adjust the number of output spikes. To enable SpikeProp to perform time series signal processing, our research group has discussed a learning algorithm for SpikeProp without redundant output spikes. The method consists of two techniques: adaptive weight decay (AWD) and removing redundant delays (RD). As a part of these researches, we discuss a method to locally application of removing redundant time delays in this article. Since AWD works differently on each part of network, RD should not be applied uniformity. By simple experiments, we showed that only RD between input layer and hidden layer is enough for performance.","PeriodicalId":127139,"journal":{"name":"2015 7th International Conference on Emerging Trends in Engineering & Technology (ICETET)","volume":"17 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127574396","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It may cause change in the diameter or the blockage of the blood vascular structure which leads to the occurrence of serious macular ischemia disease. The early detection of the blockage area in the vascular system is necessary otherwise it may result in loss of vision. The ophthalmologist screening of the retinal images differ from person to person and hence there requires the need of the automated system program for the analysis and classification of the fundus images. Here an automated system is proposed for the detection and the classification of the Macular Ischemia based on a graph trace method for automatic A/V (Arteries and Veins) classification by extracting the graph from the segmented vascular structure. The A/V classification is done by measuring the intensity features of the segmented blood vessels. KNN classifier is then used to extract the thickness feature of the vascular structure to allocate the blockage of the veins in the retinal blood vessels. For Grading of the disease severity, SVM Algorithm is use. In this methodology, the concept of evaluating two database at the same time is used in order to reduce the computational time i.e., two patients fundus images can be evaluated at the same time. The performance of the proposed system is evaluated or calculated by testing it on Drive database using parameter such as sensitivity, specificity and accuracy.","PeriodicalId":127139,"journal":{"name":"2015 7th International Conference on Emerging Trends in Engineering & Technology (ICETET)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130900620","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
