The word weighting generated by this metric is defined with morphosyntactic considerations and allows the categorization of text words in fuzzy clusters. This weighting could also be used as a model of the original text at a sentence and paragraph level. A case study is presented here to help analyze the interpretation of the categories.","PeriodicalId":126172,"journal":{"name":"2008 Electronics, Robotics and Automotive Mechanics Conference (CERMA '08)","volume":"80 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2008-09-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127440199","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Each of the mentioned difficulties has motivated the development of complementary procedures such as maximum entropy, genetic algorithms and artificial neural networks. The use of neural networks to unfold neutron spectra and to calculate equivalent doses from the count rates measured with BSS system has become in an alternative procedure, which has been applied with success, however, it is observed that doesn't exist computer tools based on ANN technology to unfold neutron spectra and to calculate equivalent doses. In this work a customized front end user interface software application, called Neutron Spectrometry and Dosimetry by means of Artificial Neural Networks (NSDANN) based on ANN technology, is presented, which is capable to unfold neutron spectra and to simultaneously calculate 13 equivalent doses, by using only the count rates of a BBS system, in just a few seconds.","PeriodicalId":126172,"journal":{"name":"2008 Electronics, Robotics and Automotive Mechanics Conference (CERMA '08)","volume":"18 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2008-09-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115348443","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, for instance, in rural areas of Mexico where there is little or null access to specialized equipment, it is common to find that patients are not diagnosed until the patientspsila diminished hearing capacity has impaired their speech development as well as their and social and school integration. This paper presents the design and construction of the EEG-ITM03 EEG auditory evoked potential data acquisition system intended for diagnostic of hypoacusia. The EEG data acquisition system was tested on 5 healthy young adults and the results were compared to those obtained using a commercial equipment (CADWELL 7200). The results show that the early brain stem evoked potential latencies, related to the hearing process can be detected, even when the system is operated in non-ideal locations for conducting hearing tests. Thus the results suggest that the equipment can be used in clinics without special facilities (i.e. sound proof rooms) as part of routine diagnostic activities.","PeriodicalId":126172,"journal":{"name":"2008 Electronics, Robotics and Automotive Mechanics Conference (CERMA '08)","volume":"15 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2008-09-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114562646","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, the need to cover greater areas at higher transmission speeds gave rise to the 802.16x standards. These new standards provide the necessary guidelines that establish coverage, transmission capacities, types and quality of services. The technologies required to implement the 802.16x standards, however, are much more costly than traditional WLANs. This work proposes a MAC layer mechanism that increases the coverage area of wireless broadband networks that does not require increased physical infrastructure.","PeriodicalId":126172,"journal":{"name":"2008 Electronics, Robotics and Automotive Mechanics Conference (CERMA '08)","volume":"7 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2008-09-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121994190","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Firstly, some considerations on the effect of varying the population size of the initial population size of the GA over the performance of the obtained paths are investigated. Finally, a fuzzy unit is implemented to adaptively modify the population size accordingly to the navigation conditions of the manipulator system, such as the magnitude of the potential field (used to model the manipulators as moving obstacles), error to goal, and whether or not the manipulators are moving along a stable trajectory. The considered cases correspond to two redundant dual manipulator systems, consisting of two 3 degrees of freedom (dof) and two 7 DOF planar manipulators.","PeriodicalId":126172,"journal":{"name":"2008 Electronics, Robotics and Automotive Mechanics Conference (CERMA '08)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2008-09-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128554898","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
