The neoliberal model dominated Latin America for a decade, but in the late 1990s, the community support to neoliberal platform declined due to the increase of social inequality and poverty of the middle class, working-class and indigenous population. Resistance starts in Venezuela then spread to Argentina, Brazil, Bolivia, Ecuador and other Latin American countries known as the \"Pink Tide\". In the pink tide framework, countries are directed to redistribute the state wealth to low-income families so that the sustainability of society can be maintained. Governments implements such kind of policy is categorized as state left.","PeriodicalId":124864,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the Proceedings of the 2nd International Conference on Social Sciences and Interdisciplinary Studies (formerly ICCSSIS), ICCSIS 2019, 24-25 October 2019, Medan, North Sumatera, Indonesia","volume":"14 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-12-17","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123372897","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This paper also wants to see the possibility that a model of democratic consolidation needs to be put on the aspect of the locality. Without damaging the existing democratic order, the locality-based democracy consolidation model wants to make each individual the main actor who plays the political role of citizenship so that they can create a democratic model that adopts from its cultural values. The method used in this research uses the descriptive qualitative method. The use of fieldwork with the observation method was carried out in this study. In addition to observation, the interview method was also carried out both to the Village Government, Majanggut I, and to the village community. In addition to interviews, various kinds of documentation and literature studies were also used to strengthen and sharpen the results of this study. The results showed that Majanggut I villagers' understanding of democracy was still limited to the conception of political contestation. Opportunities for locality values to be accommodated in a democracy are very open, even though the values of locality in the village are fading away. The Citizenship Politics in Majanggut I Village has not placed citizens as actors of democracy itself. The people of Majanggut I village are still the objects of democracy itself. This indication can be seen from the lack of participation of the village community in the development process in the village and the process of political development, including in the contestation of village head elections.","PeriodicalId":124864,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the Proceedings of the 2nd International Conference on Social Sciences and Interdisciplinary Studies (formerly ICCSSIS), ICCSIS 2019, 24-25 October 2019, Medan, North Sumatera, Indonesia","volume":"48 4 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-12-17","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124779737","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The management of the ecotourism area on Reusam Island is very much needed to find out the potential and constraints obtained by visitors in the sustainable development of the ecotourism area. This research was conducted in August 2018 until July 2019, carried out by direct observation to collect primary data following expert provisions. Conformity analysis is done to get the suitability of field conditions with the ideal conditions of experts. Based on the topography, Reusam Island is included in the very small island category, an area of about 22 hectares, which is divided into 4 regions. Reusam Island resources are based on water geomorphological parameters, diversity, marine oceanography physics, water quality, and supporting factors following the indicators of the suitability of experts to become ecotourism areas.","PeriodicalId":124864,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the Proceedings of the 2nd International Conference on Social Sciences and Interdisciplinary Studies (formerly ICCSSIS), ICCSIS 2019, 24-25 October 2019, Medan, North Sumatera, Indonesia","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-12-17","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117056538","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This is based on the assumption that character education in early childhood is the basis for the nation's moral development. This study was qualitative with using an explorative approach. Data collection was done through in-depth interview techniques and field observations. Even though the character education curriculum for all preschool in Surabaya refers to the 2013 curriculum, the implementation is different since the vision and mission of each institution different, as well. Among the characters that are important to instill in the kindergarten are honesty, tolerance, independence, responsibility, discipline, creativity, courtesy, and social concern. These characters can be empirically exemplified and accustomed to in everyday life. The method of character education for children is habituation and example. Children often face a dilemma when there are differences in the characters in the family at school. Therefore, teachers and parents must be aware that they become models for children.","PeriodicalId":124864,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the Proceedings of the 2nd International Conference on Social Sciences and Interdisciplinary Studies (formerly ICCSSIS), ICCSIS 2019, 24-25 October 2019, Medan, North Sumatera, Indonesia","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-12-17","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130046934","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
