In reality, users do not always behave in a UE manner, typically when there exists oligopoly Cournot-Nash (CN) firms. In the presence of such UE-CN mixed equilibrium behaviors, we naturally ask whether a SO flow pattern remains attainable by meaningful link tolls. This paper provides a former answer to this question. We show that in a network with both UE and CN users, applying the traditional marginal-cost pricing for a system optimum requires that link tolls be differentiated across user classes. Ramp metering can increase flow and prevent a traffic breakdown by adjusting the metering rate. Speed control is to regulate and guide the traffic on the main freeway lanes to achieve stability of traffic flow. We formulate the ramp metering and variable speed control as a stackelberg game and ramp metering is regarded as the leader, variable speed control as the follower. Within this framework, we propose a stackelberg game model of ramp metering and variable speed control. But when the circulatory roadway of a roundabout has more than two lanes, the disorder of the traffic cause big problems. The weaving section where the vehicles enter or leave the roundabout appears to be the critical bottleneck. In this paper, a new method of traffic signal control for modern roundabout is put forward to solve the problem. Traffic signals are installed to control the traffic flow of entries and the left-turn traffic flow on circulatory roadway. Left-turn vehicles on circulatory roadway will stop before red signal to avoid weaving. The methodology including geometric design and traffic signal control of this new method is presented followed by the evaluation of the operational analysis with indexes of capacity and delay. This method has been successfully applied in Xiamen city to solve the very serious traffic congestion problem. BRMS aims to assist pavement agencies in making decision effectively and efficiently. This paper describes the key modules compulsory for network level implementation including database module, condition survey module, condition assessment module, performance prediction module and optimization module. In BRMS, pavement sections are identified based on the road length and functional classification. To collect distress data efficiently, a new automated conditions survey system undertaking shows more advantages in comparison with manually device. Pavement condition index (PCI) is used for assessment of pavement distress type and severity for both flexible and rigid pavements. In the optimization module, integer programming is applied to determine M&R policies. This paper proposes an improved fast DPFT algorithm aiming at 2D real array data. By utilizing the properties of the shift discrete Fourier transform (SDFT) and the chirp-Z transform (CZT), the algorithm's overall computational complexity is significantly decreased and is more suitable for real-time applications by only 1D calculations. For specialty of traffic in China, this paper considers the vehicle flow and the non-vehicle flow at the same time and puts forward the model of multiphase fuzzy control under hybrid traffic flow. The controller changes both phase sequence and phase length of traffic signal adaptively to traffic condition. The optimization consists in finding the solution that minimizes the total length of tours and satisfying the customer delivery time window. In this paper, we present a hybrid ant system to handle the dynamism by means of modifying the pheromone matrix and candidate sets strategy. In addition, we make further improvements on vehicle routes with the local search heuristics. This paper proposes a multi-level displaying approach that can display the whole map and its region of interest at the same time without multi-window switch and over-lap. Besides, in order to view the road map in reality, the road map is super-imposed on terrain map.
