In order to help the final year students get job ready, career education has been integrated into both courses with the support of Student Career Services. Students benefit from the exposure to real-world job markets and understand the current ICT industry skill requirements and demands. The funding from Victorian Government, Australia for the ICT Industry Placement Scholarships has become a testcase for our approach. It is approved that a cross faculty collaborative teaching program have made significant contribution to improve the studentspsila employability skills and their life-long learning skills. In this paper, first background information about the ICT industry placements is given. Then the collaborative teaching approaches are described and outcome and impact of the placements are presented. SimChemDB provides the facilities for data management, including storing chemical files, displaying and editing chemical structure. It made use of Apache Derby, which served as database engine. The database schema was created for the storage of various data. A TableViewer was designed for the visualization of chemical data. Finally, SimChemDB system was demonstrated through an application on anti-malarial drug design process, where the steps of data preparation were expatiated. At the same time, the methods of file-filter and multi-thread were used to improve the search performance too. A classifier (BP or KNN) was used in the algorithm to estimate confidences of a new unlabeled sample in different classes. When one confidence is higher than the threshold, the sample will be labeled; otherwise, the sample will be diagnosed by medical expert with other approaches. With more and more new labeled samples adding in the labeled samples list, the classifier will be better and will provide more accurate diagnosis for new sample. Strictly speaking, it is a particular active learning algorithm. By applying this algorithm on Colon tumor dataset, we demonstrated that our incremental tumor diagnosis algorithm can be used to successfully improve diagnostic accuracy of tumor. Based on support vector machine (SVM), a new method called RRSE (rough reducts based SVM ensemble) is employed to discriminate between high and low activities of ethofenprox analogous based on the molecular descriptors. By using RRSE, individual SVMs of ensemble model are constructed by projection of training dataset on sufficient and necessary attribute sets (reducts). Finally, the results from all individuals are combined by majority voting to finalize the ensemble results which predict activities of ethofenprox analogous with accuracy of 93.5%. Experimental results indicate that performance of RRSE is better than those of SVM bagging, optimal reducts based SVM and single SVM. However, in wireless networks, these losses will arise for reasons other than congestion. TCPW has been proved to work better in performance and bandwidth utilization than Reno and New Reno in wireless networks. Our research mainly focuses on the slow-start phase of TCPW and develops an algorithm to divide the phase into two parts. In this paper, we propose a simple refinement of slow-start algorithm of TCP Westwood (TCPW), which is a TCP variant focused on to achieve higher performance in wireless and wired networks. We show by results that the new theme could reduce possibility of packet loss in wireless networks. In the first half of slow-start, we use the exponential increase just like the original slow-start. In geospatial semantic web, cooperation of these two kinds of reasoning tasks is required. Thatpsilas the motive of our spatial description logic. A general spatial representation and reasoning method with ALC is proposed. The constraints satisfaction problem for spatial relation can be solved within ExpTime-complete time, while the previous spatial description logics are all undecidable. Integrating of multi-aspects spatial relation models is also discussed.
