The core data networks are formed of single and multichannel fiber optical transmission systems nowadays. The leading technology in a multichannel fiber optical communication is 10 Gbps DWDM (Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing), which is used worldwide. The 40 Gbps DWDM systems are still in the adaptation phase. The development of DWDM system increases the transmission speed, transmission distance and channel traffic. On the other hand, the multichannel transmission over single optical fiber induces nonlinear effects which degrades performance of DWDM system. The four-wave mixing (FWM) is the most dominant of all nonlinear effects, especially in dense division multiplexing systems. FWM appear as a crosstalk between the adjacent channels in DWMD system. In this paper we propose a strategy to mitigate the impact of FWM on optical signal transmission in a DQPSK modulated 32-channel Ultra-DWDM system with 1.28 Tbps (40 Gbps per channel) transmission capacity. The simulation model is based on the ITU-T G.694.1 and created in OptiSystem™ software. The resulting signal is mathematically analyzed and BER and Q factor values are calculated.","PeriodicalId":122628,"journal":{"name":"2019 20th International Carpathian Control Conference (ICCC)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-05-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130857722","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The paper presents a short overview of the field of Iterative Learning Control and some basic ILC strategies (P – type and D – type) are highlighted. The design of ILC for linear systems is briefly presented. The ILC is implemented on a Flexible Joint experiment, working in repetitive manner, where the control goal is the trajectory tracking. Even the Flexible Joint is a nonlinear system, in order to tune the controller parameters a linear model is derived. The controller performances are evaluated using a real plant experiment. The main experimental results are presented and the performance of the control system is analyzed.","PeriodicalId":122628,"journal":{"name":"2019 20th International Carpathian Control Conference (ICCC)","volume":"8 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-05-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127546591","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Starting from a rather complicated model deduced for a quite general case, there are considered some simpler models of the practice, relying on the model of the horizontal prismatic canal with simple cross-section (rectangular, trapezoidal). Basic theory (existence, uniqueness, continuous data dependence) is discussed for small deviations around a steady state. There is also discussed the problem of the invariant sets accounting for fluvialness - some kind of regular behavior of the flow reflected in the partial differential equations and their solutions: absence of cavitation, shock and/or rarefaction waves. Based on the Riemann invariants of the equations there is made the synthesis of the feedback structure for the controllers. These are nonlinear decentralized small gain controllers ensuring linearization and dissipativeness of the boundary conditions in their Riemann invariant forms.","PeriodicalId":122628,"journal":{"name":"2019 20th International Carpathian Control Conference (ICCC)","volume":"93 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-05-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114300173","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

There are of course solutions for range sensor-based mapping, but the current paper proposes a new approach, which involves signatures. Signature is a mathematical data representation, which handles well uncertainty in complex systems.","PeriodicalId":122628,"journal":{"name":"2019 20th International Carpathian Control Conference (ICCC)","volume":"28 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-05-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114454921","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Data modelling in the analyzed form of continuous probability distribution allows for quantitative assessment of that data. Presented work focuses on analysis of aircraft separations in the final part of descent, where all arriving aircraft should have maintained required separation values. Motivation for the research, modelling assumptions, mathematical model, and sample scenarios are presented in the article. Selected scenarios cover variety of possible arrival air traffic distributions over time, including low and high arrival air traffic intensity cases. Results present that proposed method can be used in air traffic management, especially for analysis of past arrival air traffic data, in order to build predictive models for future arrival traffic modelling.","PeriodicalId":122628,"journal":{"name":"2019 20th International Carpathian Control Conference (ICCC)","volume":"186 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-05-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126786982","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

These conveyors, according to the data provided by their manufacturers, have several advantages, including higher amplitudes of vibrations at the same drive and extremely low dynamic forces transmitted to the foundation. In the work, a simulation model of such a conveyor loaded with a feed was made and tests of transport efficiency and forces transmitted to the foundation in stationary states and during start-up periods were performed. This paper shows the solution of the water boiler control process implemented by changing the work regime of the bag filter. It was obtained by modifying the settings of the bag filter automation. Due to the increasing requirements of flue gas cleanliness, it is necessary to use increasingly new and more efficient flue gas cleaning installations. One of such solutions is a fabric bag filter. In the study, the boiler is equipped with an automated handling SCADA system expanded to control bag filter. At the beginning, this solution resulted in accelerated destruction of most of the bag filters despite the proper operation of the bag filter in automatic mode. Analysis of the boiler, heating network and bag filters operation allowed to find the solution for the problem by changing the operating regime of the bag filters resulting from the modification of the settings of the bag filter automatics.","PeriodicalId":122628,"journal":{"name":"2019 20th International Carpathian Control Conference (ICCC)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-05-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115338056","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
