Zuhri","doi":"10.12928/channel.v11i1.179","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.12928/channel.v11i1.179","url":null,"abstract":"The Digital Literacy Activist Network (Japelidi) aims to combat the disinfodemic, increase digital literacy competency, and spread accurate information about COVID-19 through social media campaigns, videos, posters, and an anthology book, with the hope of strengthening the community's immunity against the virus. This study aims to analyze and investigate Japelidi’s action campaign to combat the disinfodemic by using the hashtag #japelidivshoakscovid19 on social media. This study uses the netnographic method to analyze content uploaded on social media to increase engagement rates. Data was collected through online observation methods, interviews, and documentation and analyzed based on various factors such as upload date, number of likes, views, comments, and hashtags. Japelidi launched a campaign called Japelidi vs. Hoaks COVID-19, which included three types of content. These contents provided tips for safe interactions during the pandemic, information in 42 regional languages about caring for oneself and one family, and reliable information about COVID-19. The campaign aimed to provide a sense of belonging, accomplishment, and helpful tips to combat COVID-19. Japelidi's campaign met specific core actions, providing a platform to combat misinformation on social media, a sense of belonging and a sense of accomplishment, and offering tips for healthcare providers. This study aims to fill in gaps from previous studies by comparing the hashtags #PercumaLaporPolisi and #PolriSesuaiProsedur, which emerged on Twitter as social movements in response to the rape of three children under ten in East Luwu, South Sulawesi. The study incorporates framing analysis and focuses on the frame alignment process to see the efforts of the hashtags #PercumaLaporPolisi and #PolriSesuaiProsedur on mobilizing social media users. This study uses Social Network Analysis (SNA) to analyze the network structure formed from #PercumaLaporPolisi vs. #PolriSesuaiProsedur hashtags and determine the values of reciprocity, centralization, diameter, density, and modularity. The researcher also uses framing alignment analysis to analyze the tweets collected using Python from October 6-17, 2021, and Netlytic software as a tool. This text compares the effectiveness of two Twitter hashtags, #PercumaLaporPolisi, and #PolriSesuaiProsedur, in mobilizing supporters during a campaign about police policies in Indonesia. Network analysis found that #PolriSesuaiProsedur had a more extensive network, higher density, and more robust framing than #PercumaLaporPolisi, which resulted in a more effective mobilization of supporters. The text emphasizes the importance of precise messaging and framing in hashtag activism. This study compared the success of two hashtags, #PercumaLaporPolisi, and #PolriSesuaiProsedur, and found that #PolriSesuaiProsedur was more successful due to its clear framing. This research highlights the significance of precise framing in hashtags for mobilizing supporters in digital social movements. Despite the risks involved, Online Social Networks (OSNs) are essential daily and provide self-expression, social pleasure, and networking opportunities. Privacy is a complex concept with different definitions, and interpersonal communication can be private but can become public depending on the context. Self-disclosure and trust are essential factors in online friendships. This study used netnography to study online consumer-based communities, particularly volleyball fans. We conducted observations, literature reviews, and interviews with informants who had experienced shifting from online friendships to offline ones. We analyzed the data descriptively using the theories of trust and self-disclosure. Participants connect with others who share the same interest in volleyball. They both use pseudonyms to protect their privacy but occasionally post pictures with censorship on their faces due to anxiety over privacy and online crime. They both establish trust with their online friends by analyzing their reputation, performance, mutual friends, interaction, and persona before extending their friendship from online to offline. Gender, a cultural construct, is acquired and socialized in the family from an early age and is sometimes formed following the dominant culture. This study aims to ascertain how society views the frequent reversal of gender roles in the environment. This study examines how the audience creates meaning for the information communicated by the film Kudapan Spesial, using reception analysis and the constructivism paradigm. The data analysis process involves collecting data from informants, analyzing it, and understanding the dominant message in the film, followed by interviews to identify the informant's position. The study examined the film Kudapan Spesial using Umberto Eco's theory of sign formation and informant interviews. The film Kudapan Spesial was inspired by the director's personal experience of gender role exchange in his family. It features medium-long shots, warm lighting, and a tidy house representing the father's perspective. The film portrays varying perspectives on gender role exchange in Indonesian households, with some viewing it as hindering a wife's potential while others advocate for equal opportunities. The film 'Kudapan Spesial' has alternative concepts that intrigue audiences who view scenes and conflicts differently based on their backgrounds, experiences, and knowledge. The study on gender role interchange in families revealed that exposure to information and debate gained via the internet influences audiences' thinking. Pixbox, an Indonesian local shipping company, has created brand awareness through digital marketing, including social media platforms, to attract customers and promote their services. This study aims to determine how the Pixbox creative team creates digital marketing content on social media. The research used a descriptive qualitative approach, collecting data through interviews and analyzing them using qualitative methods. The study focused on the Pixbox marketing content creator team and their social media activities, using purposive sampling to select participants and qualitative data analysis techniques to analyze the data. This study indicated that in creating exciting content, the content creator team of Pixbox carried out three stages, namely the pre-production stage, trying to plan content by thinking about how the purpose of the content will be, the production stage as a stage of content creation strategy as well as publishing it. The post-production stage, as the content evaluation stage, shows that the achievement of content creation on social media has an impact on increasing Pixbox brand awareness/customers, which is targeted at young entrepreneurs. Pixbox’s content creator team creates exciting marketing content in three stages: pre-production, production, and post-production, successfully increasing brand awareness and customer orders. They implemented a CSV program called Desa Rempah, which focuses on the potential of Sambirata Village's cardamom commodity. This study examines the utilization of technology in their CSV activities during the COVID-19 pandemic. This research utilized qualitative case study methods to gather primary and secondary data from various stakeholders, including companies, public relations officers, community development teams, and local leaders, to gain insights into implementing Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities by PT Sido Muncul in Sambirata Village. The case study approach allowed for a subjective perspective on social reality and used theoretical propositions to generalize findings. The CSV program, Desa Rempah, addresses the company's need for raw materials and the farmer group's issues in processing cardamom. The COVID-19 pandemic posed challenges to CSV implementation. Still, the company adapted through digital transformations and prioritized the local community's efficiency and effectiveness in developing CSV activities with BumDes (Village Owned Enterprises) Sambirata. Sido Muncul's strategy for CSV activities involves social mapping research and collaboration with stakeholders, including government and Bumdes Sambirata, to create shared value through innovations and efficiency, effectiveness, and responsiveness. Still, poor management and a decrease in springs may lead to a water crisis in 2029 that could affect millions of residents in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. This study aims to identify the inhibiting factors for collaborative water governance under the threat of a water crisis. This research used qualitative descriptive research with data collected through interviews, documents, and observations. The analysis involved data reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing/verification to explore Yogyakarta's water management aspects. The study suggests that collaborative water governance involving multiple stakeholders, including non-government actors, is crucial for effective water management. The local government dominates water management, while private and community groups have minimal involvement. There is a need for more specific regulations that comprehensively regulate water management and conservation efforts in the regions. Water management in Yogyakarta is classified under traditional governance due to the limited involvement of non-government actors and the  minimal participation space provided by the regional government. The film, Aruna dan Lidahnya, is a topic of discussion as it raises issues related to culinary tourism, religion, public policy, and public health literacy, specifically the avian influenza virus outbreak, which has objective and subjective dimensions. This study aims to discover how culinary films are constructed in health literacy and why the film is constructed as a form of health literacy. This qualitative study uses a case study approach to investigate how and why culinary films are constructed as a form of health literacy, specifically focusing on the film Aruna dan Lidahnya. The researchers used primary and secondary data from the film from literature studies and observations and applied data analysis techniques to interpret the data. The film Aruna dan Lidahnya promotes the potential of local cuisine as a unique attraction to grow the economy of tourist destinations. It also emphasizes the importance of health communication in raising public awareness about the avian influenza virus and following health protocols. The film highlights the need for cultural and local wisdom-based tourism development for a more ethical and aesthetic tourist attraction. Aruna dan Lidahnya is a film that highlights the potential of local cuisine in developing tourist destinations in four cities affected by the avian influenza virus. Developing tourist destinations based on local cuisine can improve social welfare and the area's economy and be a unique attraction for cultural tourism. However, only 54.9% of the population is willing to be vaccinated due to fake news or hoaxes. The government urges the public to obey regulations, especially in public spaces, and intensifies socialization through various media, such as YouTube. This study aims to determine the critical elements that compose the video on the YouTube channel so that it can be used as a medium to persuade the wider community. This study used qualitative methods to collect visual and textual data from purposively selected videos and screenshots, which were analyzed using communication theory for persuasion and a constructionist approach to interpret the data and identify variables such as the message's source, characteristics of the recipient, and purpose of the message. The Indonesian Ministry of Health and the Nahdlatul Ulama Executive Board collaborated to create a 2-minute, 53-second video on the importance of vaccination in Indonesia, particularly for Muslims. The video features PBNU's Health Head, dr. Syahrizal Syarif effectively educates the public on vaccination's significance and emphasizes community unity to support the government's vaccination program. The communicator in the video successfully positioned himself as a religious leader and doctor. The video is effective in communicating three key messages. The study aims to use Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA) to analyze Nike's Instagram captions that were posted in 2019 as a way of revealing the essential concept through language and the social practice level. This study uses qualitative research design and critical discourse analysis to analyze Nike's concept towards women in their Instagram captions. The researchers collected data using non-participative observation and purposive sampling techniques and analyzed the data using the referential identity and competence-in-dividing techniques. This study found that it had standard features like vocabulary, grammatical structure, and various textual features. Nike also used discourse practice by employing female athlete representatives to construct the concept of women empowerment in the caption. Furthermore, the language in the caption implied feminist ideology that helped instill the concept of women's empowerment by showing progressivity in the sports industry. The study analyzed Nike's Instagram captions and concluded that the company uses various textual features, including quotations from female athletes, to construct the concept of women's empowerment. Nike's use of persuasive language and representation of feminism ideology supports this concept.
