In this paper, we propose a new multi-user joint receiver processing for LTE PUCCH that counteracts the intra-cell interference (ICI). Using the fact that the received signal in PUCCH signaling follows a constrained tensor model, a multi-user receiver based on an iterative joint channel/code estimation and symbol detection is proposed. The interest in such a challenging setting relies on the overhead reduction synchronization errors defined by time offset and inaccuracies of timing align. Simulation results show remarkable performance gains of the proposed receiver compared to the conventional time-frequency decorrelator based receiver under the same conditions.","PeriodicalId":121560,"journal":{"name":"2013 21st Telecommunications Forum Telfor (TELFOR)","volume":"22 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127062447","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

By combining an algorithm for reliable host vertex selection and error correction codes, our watermarking neutralizes negative influence of optimization to watermark resilience. Using geometrical criteria, the algorithm selects mesh vertices with a minimum deletion probability in the optimization process. Selected vertices are then used by a quantizer for embedding the encoded watermark information. The watermark is reconstructed in a two step process involving the blind extraction of selected vertices and decoding of embeded data.","PeriodicalId":121560,"journal":{"name":"2013 21st Telecommunications Forum Telfor (TELFOR)","volume":"9 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127428753","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Coefficients on which we form approximative spline functions are determined in two ways: by solving equation systems that are formed from treshold condition and by minimization mean square error (MSE). On the basis of the obtained approximate spline functions, a quantizer designing is done. In order to reduce realization complexity of the designed model, in this paper it is proposed that the optimal compressor function in different segments is approximated by different spline functions. Also, the optimization of quantizer's segment threshold is done. For the quantizer designed on the basis of approximative spline functions, segment threshold is numerically determined depending on maximal value of the signal to quantization noise ratio (SQNR). It is shown that by quantizer models proposed in this paper the SQNR that is very close to SQNR of nonlinear optimal companding quantizer is achieved.","PeriodicalId":121560,"journal":{"name":"2013 21st Telecommunications Forum Telfor (TELFOR)","volume":"128 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115770641","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The presented method uses the general principles of generating error-correcting codes in information theory combined with a gradient - an heuristic algorithm. Using this method, there are registered improvements in the growth of network storage capacity (number of words memorized), and also in the increase of the correct answers' probability. These types of networks can be used in several applications which use associativity, including the correction errors in communication, the image reconstruction and the object recognition.","PeriodicalId":121560,"journal":{"name":"2013 21st Telecommunications Forum Telfor (TELFOR)","volume":"57 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115802209","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The proposed algorithm balances the parent-child vertexes in a bipartite graph and can be applied to a wireless sensor network as an algorithm for building virtual routing tree topology. Virtual routing tree topology optimizes the minimum number of message hops to the sink and load balancing. The proposed algorithm runs faster than other compared methods. Virtual topology (spanned tree) is used during very simple routing protocol. Experimental results show that the proposed algorithm preserves the energy, excludes bottle necks, red spots, and expands the lifetime of a network.","PeriodicalId":121560,"journal":{"name":"2013 21st Telecommunications Forum Telfor (TELFOR)","volume":"23 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114730612","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Consequently, during simulation the average signal power seen at the destination becomes known at run-time only. Therefore, in order to obtain specific performance measures at the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) of interest, strategies are required to adjust the noise variance during simulation run-time. It is necessary that these strategies result in the same performance as measured under real-world conditions. This paper introduces three noise power allocation strategies and demonstrates their applicability using numerical and simulation results.","PeriodicalId":121560,"journal":{"name":"2013 21st Telecommunications Forum Telfor (TELFOR)","volume":"57 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116958144","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Cognitive radio (CR) technology has been considered a promising solution for enabling dynamic spectrum access and by that addressing this problem. Since its inception more than 10 years ago, several standardization activities have contributed to illustrating the potential of CR for commercial use. Meanwhile, worldwide efforts from agencies such as the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) have been deployed in order to remove regulatory barriers for future development of CR networks. A flexible testing framework for CR devices implemented using the Universal Software Radio Peripheral (USRP) Software Defined Radio (SDR) platform is proposed and described, together with a case study on a commercially available device. The requirements imposed by the 802.11h standard are verified on this device and a number of discovered issues are presented and discussed.","PeriodicalId":121560,"journal":{"name":"2013 21st Telecommunications Forum Telfor (TELFOR)","volume":"7 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117316328","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
