It is of practical interest to derive an adequate analytic function that describes speech power spectral density, like the one standardized by CCITT convention. In this paper, the analytical approximation of experimentally obtained speech power spectral density in Serbian language is performed by applying mean-square error minimization method. This method is applied in two different ways, and influence of some parameters in minimization process is investigated. The developed method is also applied for analytic approximation of power spectral density of English and Russian.","PeriodicalId":121560,"journal":{"name":"2013 21st Telecommunications Forum Telfor (TELFOR)","volume":"11 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129948653","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

These concepts from EARTH project target a factor two reduction in 4G base station power consumption. The concepts are presented and detailed. DC-to-DC converter specifications needed are discussed. A practical implementation of a 500 kHz and zero to 112W buck converter is presented. The prototype achieves 94% power efficiency and a good stability over the complete power range.","PeriodicalId":121560,"journal":{"name":"2013 21st Telecommunications Forum Telfor (TELFOR)","volume":"107 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128330655","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It should include tests for correct and expected, but also for unexpected and invalid cases. In this paper, techniques for testing the parser, as well as algorithms and tools for test sentence generation are discussed. Generation of negative test sentences by modifying the original language grammar is described. Positive and negative test cases generated by Grow algorithm and Purdom algorithm are applied to the testing of L-IRL robot programming language and obtained results are described in this paper.","PeriodicalId":121560,"journal":{"name":"2013 21st Telecommunications Forum Telfor (TELFOR)","volume":"15 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129018056","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Using measured electric field waveforms of Miki et al., 2002 in the immediate vicinity of the lightning channel, the channel discharge function vs. time is calculated. The applicability of the simple form of the Gauss' law on lightning channel corona sheath modeling is examined. The conditions for the validity of the expressions of the electric field inside and outside the corona sheath are derived. It is concluded that the simple form of the Gauss' law can be successfully used for the corona sheath modeling if the radial distance of the measuring point from the channel core is small compared to its vertical position.","PeriodicalId":121560,"journal":{"name":"2013 21st Telecommunications Forum Telfor (TELFOR)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129339168","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

During our subjective tests, we have noticed that a low quality audio signal affect strongly and negatively the listeners' opinion on the next-coming test sequences, even if they are of higher quality. This leads eventually to erroneous data and consequently to a misevaluation of audio codecs and systems. This phenomenon called here, the “experience effect”, is presented and analyzed through an enriched experimental framework, with suggestions for statistical approaches to smooth out raw data and get more reliable results. This paper is a snapshot of our ongoing work on the development of new quality assessment methodologies, combining both the perceptual and behavioral aspects of human response.","PeriodicalId":121560,"journal":{"name":"2013 21st Telecommunications Forum Telfor (TELFOR)","volume":"112 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"120899375","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The arbitrary voice channel is simulated with various speech codecs with specified error patterns. This type of signal processing with transmission errors makes an arbitrary voice channel nonlinear and non-time invariant. Therefore, standard modulation techniques predominantly tailored for band limited linear diction channels with additive white Gaussian noise are not suitable. As a simulation example we give performance analysis for continuous phase 2FSK and 4FSK.","PeriodicalId":121560,"journal":{"name":"2013 21st Telecommunications Forum Telfor (TELFOR)","volume":"322 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116210852","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
