However, since users are usually unwilling to provide many feedbacks, the insufficiency of the training samples limited the success of relevance feedback. To tackle this problem, we propose two coupled algorithms: (i) overlapped subspace clustering to select representative images for user’s feedback; and (ii) multi-subspace label propagation to include unlabeled data in the training process. As these two algorithms are both working on sub feature spaces of the image database, they can not only deal with the insufficient training samples but also well capture the user’s attention during the retrieval process. The design of this QoSTP is based on a set of fundamental principles aimed at assuring the feasibly and efficient deployment of adequate mechanisms intended to satisfy different applications requirements. Moreover, this new protocol has to be designed within an extensible and compositional architectural aimed at integrating further mechanisms intended to satisfy new requirements and to operate under heterogeneous network environments. Instead of examining the exact prior knowledge for the given type of distortion and finding a suitable way to represent it, our method aims to directly get the quality metric by means of learning. At first, some training examples are prepared for both high-quality and low-quality classes; then a binary classifier is built on the training set; finally the quality metric of an un-labeled example is denoted by the extent to which it belongs to these two classes. Different schemes to acquire examples from a given image, to build the binary classifier and to model the quality metric are proposed and investigated. While most existing methods are tailored for some specific distortion type, the proposed method might provide a general solution for No-Reference image quality assessment. It is used to re-organize the search result of web image search engines into a hierarchical structure so that the users can conveniently browse the search result. This method takes into account various features associated with web images, and treats them in different ways. For the surrounding text extracted from the containing web pages, co-clustering approach is adopted; for low-level features of the image content and other features, one-way clustering approach is adopted. The clustering results of different approaches are combined together to produce the final image groups. And gradual transitions can be further classified into dissolve, fade in, fade out, wipe. Shot boundary detection is the first step for video content analysis, indexing and classification. In this paper, we propose a novel approach for gradual transition detection. Our schema is to estimate the peaks on the frame to frame difference curve by EM (Expectation Maximum) curve fitting. Each peak contour is approximated by a mixture of Gaussian and uniform distributions. The weight of uniform component, the average height and the relative height of the peak are used as input features for the decision tree classifier to discriminate gradual transitions from cuts and miscellaneous. Finally, we present a framework for shot boundary detection involving camera motion detection and the combination of cut and gradual transition detection results. In the first data sources integration layer, standard-based health care ontology and global API metadata are achieved, which make authorized health care applications \"understand\" and operate heterogeneous data sources automatically and transparently. Based on this unified information, in the second application integration layer, configurable standard-based application workflow integration facilitates the communication and interoperation between the disparate health care applications. In this kind of application, the user executes sets of activities organized into transactions (also generally called workflows) in order to accomplish one of his/her tasks or fulfill one of his/her goals. The way these transactions are structured, the properties associated with their component activities and the way each activity is implemented by the Web application are a consequence of the transaction design as well as the business rules implied by the business process. The Ubiquitous Web Applications (UWA) design framework explicitly includes a design activity and a related meta-model, called the Transaction Design Model, specifically focused on the conceptual design of Web application transactions (Web Transactions for short).
