Besides its commercial application, companies are starting to recognize machine learning importance and possibilities in order to transform their data assets into business value. This study explores integration of machine learning into business core processes, while enabling predictive analytics that can increase business values and provide competitive advantage. It proposes machine learning algorithm based on regression analysis for a business solution in large enterprise company in Macedonia, while predicting real-value outcome from a given array of business inputs. The results show that most of the machine learning predictive values for the desired process output deviated from 0 to 15% of actual employees' decision. Hence, it verifies the appropriateness of the chosen approach, with predictive accuracy that can be meaningful in practice. As a machine learning case study in business context, it contains valuable information that can help companies understand the significance of machine learning for enterprise computing. It also points out some potential pitfalls of machine learning misuse.","PeriodicalId":120500,"journal":{"name":"Computer Engineering and Applications","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-07-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128657314","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Furthermore, each student will be measured by measuring the geodesic distance for each factors for hierarchical clustering. The flow betwenness measure and hierarchical clustering show the promising result, where students who has similar factors value are tends to be grouped together in the same cluster. The student with high value of flow betwenness is considered as broker of network and play vital character inside network. The result of study is believed can bring important and useful information toward the student performance analysis for future better education.","PeriodicalId":120500,"journal":{"name":"Computer Engineering and Applications","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-06-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130579798","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

These networks aim to provide good data accessibility for participants. Due to the wireless nodes’ continuous movement, network partitioning occurs very often. In order to subside the negative effects of this partitioning and improve data accessibility and reliability, data is replicated in nodes other than the original owner of data. This duplication is costly in terms of nodes’ storage space and energy. Hence, selfish nodes in an autonomous environment may act uncooperatively and do not replicate data. In game theory literature this situation is referred to as a strategic situation. In order to address this problem we propose a game theory data replication scheme by using the repeated game concept and prove that it is in the nodes’ best interest to cooperate fully in the replication process if our mechanism is used. Our analysis shows that our scheme outperforms two existing methods in terms of data accessibility, communication cost and query delay.","PeriodicalId":120500,"journal":{"name":"Computer Engineering and Applications","volume":"10 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-05-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115958494","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Racing Game is very popular among the adults, elderly and even kids, the rule it’s quite simple and understandable. The combination between the racing game and natural interface will lead to innovative application which is potential to be used as home therapy for post stroke patient. User will be required to move some parts of their body such as both hand, arm, head and even shoulder. The body tracking is provided by depth camera that can capture and interpret human body gesture recognition to be used as interaction command. The human skeleton will be displayed onto screen to control the car in the game and the result of racing will be synchronized with user excitement which is recorded through Kinect video.","PeriodicalId":120500,"journal":{"name":"Computer Engineering and Applications","volume":"50 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-04-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132162647","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Not only the companies benefit from these reviews, but these reviews also influence to a great extent the decision of the buyer. Currently a lot of research is being conducted on the opinion summaries the companies use, while the end user/buyer still has to go through whole of the opinions/reviews in order to make their decision, whether to buy a product or not. A single sentence cannot cover all the possible feature/qualities of a product. And, sometimes a single opinion may not be self-explanatory. In the proposed work, the authors have given a model that can generate different ‘signifieds’ for a single opinion. Using the definitions and examples of WordNet Dictionary, the signifieds of 80% of the opinions have been generated. The generated signifieds are not only useful for the buyer, but the person writing their opinion can also select any of these signifieds to make their point as accurately and clearly as possible.","PeriodicalId":120500,"journal":{"name":"Computer Engineering and Applications","volume":"27 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-03-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125648164","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
