En présence du plomb à 0,01 et 1 M, elle passe respectivement à 2,4 10 et 8,8 10 ms. La porosimétrie au mercure montre que la présence de plomb se traduit par une réorganisation de la distribution des pores. Many parameters were optimized to allow the whole mass of soil to be heated over 250°C, collecting in the same time all the nocuous vapors to ensure environmental safety of the works. Cependant le succès de celles-ci est souvent aléatoire. La première partie de la présentation s’attachera, à partir d’une revue bibliographique et de quelques exemples, à déterminer les paramètres qui conduisent souvent à une faible efficacité du traitement. Ce point sera complété d’une analyse du retour d’expérience sur des pilotes de traitement. Les limites sont généralement liées à l’hétérogénéité des formations géologiques mais aussi à un mauvais ciblage des analyses préparatoires ou à des faiblesses dans le suivi de la réhabilitation. Dans une deuxième partie nous examinerons les progrès récents visant à maximiser l’efficacité des traitements in situ. En premier lieu il s’agit de techniques de diagnostic qui permettent de cibler les flux de polluants. The aim is to provide an assessment of the current soil contamination (current status) before the transfer of the site to another indus-trial company. The proposed methodological approach relies on geostatistical modeling of the soil contamination by using a simulation method that generates a large number of realistic and equiprobable 3D images of grades for soil contaminants of interest. The images are realistic because they reproduce the grade data and their observed spatial variability. They are equiprobable in that they all have the same probability to represent the actual soil contamination. To assess the soil contamination before the site transfer, the masses of contaminants in place and the associated uncertainty can be estimated from the simulations, for the whole site or by zone. Using the simulations, it can be identified the locations where potential soil contami nation sources are likely to be or not found with high enough confidence, and those where the soil conta mination is uncertain. ABSTRACT More than 22,500 tons per year of waste lubricating oil are non-regulatory managed in Cameroon. They are burned in very dangerous conditions when they are not simply dumped in nature. Yet, these wastes are classified as very dangerous for human-beings. The aim of this work is to promote safer methods of dis-posal of waste lubricating oil in Cameroon by stressing on materials recovery and energetic valorisation in a steam boiler. A combined method of action of melted salt, distillation under low pressure and treatment on activated adsorbed earth (ASFDPRTTA) is efficacious for the task. The oil, treated by this method strips it of polluting chemical in order to obtain a fuel (ecofuel) meeting up the energetic and environmental expec-tations as required by standards. On the other hand, the fuel presents physicochemical features nearest to the ones of gasoil so that it has been used in a gasoil steam boiler without risk. Also, the fuel served as a base for the regeneration of a new lubricant (envilub) by adding additives in suitably chosen proportions. Our method is using a low cost investment, simple equip-ment at the point where inexperienced staff with a minimum of training can master it.
