The study was guided by two objectives. The design of the study was descriptive survey design, while sampling technique adopted was purposive sampling of four professional departments. Method of data analysis for research questions involved using a combination of descriptive and inferential statistics, mean and standard deviation. The findings revealed that though cataloguing and classification of information resources are highly practiced with the use of standard tools, the digital age has not impacted on her cataloguing practices, as the practices are not ICT-driven in this digital age. Cataloguing and classification practices are not automated, e-tools are not effectively used in cataloguing and classification, and even resource description and access (RDA) has not been implemented in the apex library of the nation. Recommendations were made, and the study concluded that it is imperative for the National Library of Nigeria to be ICT-driven in her cataloguing and classification practices in this digital age, so as to engender effective bibliographic control and effectively contribute to the world knowledge through universal bibliographic control and universal availability of publications.

It specifically targets first year postgraduate students of UCC. Awareness, usage, training, and access were explored. A survey method was employed and a structured questionnaire was utilized to solicit data. The findings revealed that, though students are aware of electronic resources, they do not fully utilize them to support their academic pursuit due to poor level of information literacy skills. However, few students had not participated in all information literacy skills training organized by the library. Results from the study showed that, significant number of postgraduate students do access electronic resources when on campus and mostly use electronic devices such as laptops, ipad, desktop computers, and mobile phones. The findings indicated that students use the electronic resources to complete assignments, write project work, to update lessons note, for research, and up-date themselves on new information in their fields of study. It was recommended that a structured curriculum should therefore be established as part of postgraduate students’ normal lecture periods where time is allocated on their time table for electronic resource training, and if possible, credited to their academic performance ratings or grading. \u0000 \u0000 \u0000 \u0000 Key words: Awareness, electronic resources, postgraduate students, training.

The investigation was mainly based on interviews. The interviews were conducted in four Ghanaian public university libraries from January 2014 to March 2015. In all, 38 senior members were interviewed. The findings indicated among other that the libraries under study purchase their library materials through donations, purchase and legal deposits. Also, other ways of acquiring knowledge/information in the library were: the socialisation, externalisation, combination and internalisation of artefacts. The study recommended that the Procurement Law of Ghana must be reviewed to allow other key officers like the provost and deans to give approval for the library to purchase books on their behalf; clearing process from the port should be streamlined to reduce the number of days spent clearing containers of books from the port. \u0000 \u0000 \u0000 \u0000 Key words: Gifts, donations, purchase, legal deposit, procurement law, socialisation, combination, externalisation.

A spectrum of E-resources that have emerged during this time are chiefly responsible to this transformation and changed landscape of libraries in terms of collection development, storage and provisioning their access. It has created tremendous opportunities for librarians to be innovative in order to provide information services relevant to new situations and conditions like the discovery services. A study in this context was taken up to understand the efforts of librarians in travelling extra miles to accomplish the information needs of the generation z, also denoted as new millennial. The study presents the survey results obtained from 150 professionals from engineering college libraries in Karnataka, India. It describes the initiatives, taken by the librarians in e-resources collection building and efforts and work undertaken in providing access to e-Resources. It also examines barriers coming in the way of promoting the use of e-Resource services. Findings reveal that, majority of the librarians are providing digital library services in spite of lack of support from the management and also the diminishing demand of library users. The study concludes that the librarians of engineering colleges in Karnataka have been moderately successful in meeting the information needs of users efficiently and contextually observing the AICTE norms and guidelines in this regard. \u0000 \u0000 \u0000 \u0000 Key words: E-resources, digital resources, digital library services, engineering colleges.
