The identification and institutionalization of workers’ values is an important fundamental source guaranteeing growth, survival and efficiency of organizations. The present study was conducted to examine the role of organizational and ethical values in reducing occupational stress in the view of directors and deans of Guilan University of Medical Sciences. The present descriptive, correlational study with its cross-sectional approach had 44 directors of staff of Guilan University of Medical Sciences as its statistical population. Data collection instrument was a 3-section questionnaire consisting of one section for personal and demographic information (7 items), one for the role of organizational values in stress (22 items) and another one for the role of ethical values in stress (10 items), which were scored on a 5-point Likert scale. The questionnaire validity was examined and confirmed by means of surveying the university professors and its reliability was assessed using Cronbach's alpha. Data collected were analyzed in SPSS software using descriptive statistics, and the correlation among components was determined through Pearson’s correlation coefficient and regression analysis. There was a direct, significant correlation between organizational and ethical values and reduction of occupational stress (P=0.0001). The statistical difference between the mean score obtained by gender for the role of organizational values in reducing occupational stress was also significant (P=0.017). However, the difference between the mean score obtained by gender for the role of ethical values in reducing occupational stress was not significant (P=0.056). Observing ethical and organizational standards paves the ground for reducing occupational stress and job tension. In general, adherence to values provides the basis for reducing occupational stress.","PeriodicalId":119340,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Biology and Today`s World","volume":"67 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-07-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121719418","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This can be achieved by the use of laryngeal mask airway and endotracheal tube. This study compared the postoperative complications of diagnostic laparoscopy between two groups of infertile women undergoing this procedure. This study was a double-blind clinical trial carried out on 120 patients undergoing gynecologic surgical laparoscopy. The patients were assigned into two equal groups of 60. The laryngeal classic mask, size 3-4, was applied for patients in group A and the cuffed endotracheal tube, size 7, was used for the patients in group B. All kinds of complications of anesthesia, consumption of anti-emetic drugs, analgesics, and also discomfort and pain in airways were recorded up to 24 hs. Our findings indicated that the relative frequencies of sore throat, voice hoarseness, and cough were statistically different between the two groups at 6 h and 12 h after anesthesia (P=0.001). At 24 h after anesthesia, there was only a significant difference between the two groups regarding sore throat frequency (P=0.003). This random clinical trial study was conducted on 200 pregnant women with threatened abortion and gestational age ≤ 12 weeks who were referred to Kosar obstetrics and gynecology clinic in Shahid Motahari hospital affiliated to Urmia University of Medical Sciences, 2014. All study population was randomly divided into two equal groups considering the amount of vaginal bleeding (mild to moderate). Group I (received Dydrogesterone tablet) and group II (received Progesterone suppository). The participants' data such as age, gestational age, history for vaginal bleeding in previous pregnancies, the amount of vaginal bleeding were collected in the researcher- made questionnaire. The mean gestational age at the first ultrasound assessment in the group I and II was 9.28 ± 2.68 weeks and 9.41 ± 3.45 weeks, respectively (P = 0.76). In the group I, 53 (53%) of patients had mild vaginal bleeding and 47 (47%) of them had moderate vaginal bleeding. These figures in the group II were 46 (46%) and 54 (54%) respectively (P = 0.19). In the group I, 74 (74%) of pregnancies ended in birth while 26 (26%) of pregnancies were aborted. In the group II 78 (78%) of women had full- term pregnancy and 22 (22%) of them had abortion (P = 0.31). The significance level for all tests was 0.05. Results of present study showed that 94.1% of samples were vaccinated against HBV, but the majority of them did not follow checking programs for anti-HBs, HBs Ag, Anti HBV, Anti HBC and Anti HIV. Of samples 45.2% reported that had at least one time needle stick injuries in their lifetime, while only 20.10 %( 44/219) reported an injury during the last year. The results showed that the mean and standard deviation of the knowledge and attitude score of nursing personnel regarding standard precautions were 22.9±3.21 and 43.88±5.3, respectively.
