To simulate weakly compressible viscous flow in the tank partially filled with liquid, the SPH method has been utilized. The numerical solutions of Navier-Stokes equations are deduced, along with the artificial viscosity and pressure term, dynamic boundary treatment has been implemented to deal with the boundary problem. Four probes are located at different positions inside the tank’s wall to monitor the pressure exerted on it. Four tank models with different baffle positions (different hp) are built to examine how it will suppress the sloshing phenomenon. Simulation results show that: The pressure acting on the tank wall is larger when the position is closer to the tank’s bottom. Among the four tank models, the suppression effect on liquid sloshing is the best when baffle position hp=0.5.","PeriodicalId":118501,"journal":{"name":"2018 9th International Conference on Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering (ICMAE)","volume":"16 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121626833","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, IR images from the geosynchronous satellite are mainly used to detect ballistic missile, not to track. In this paper, we proposed a trajectory tracking algorithm for the ballistic missile using satellite IR image. The proposed algorithm estimates the trajectory of the ballistic missile by solving the optimization problem to find the initial value of the midcourse phase. A good agreement was obtained between the simulation and experimental results. The method was then applied to a double-row tapered roller bearing (DRTRB) to analyze the complex coupling behavior of its roller-raceway. The ball-disk tribotest shows that the wear coefficient rises with the increase of load and sliding velocity, in which thermal effect plays an important role. As to the friction-wear behavior of roller-raceway, the dimensionless mild wear coefficients under 4 kN and 5 kN are 4.51×10−9 and 1.06×10−8, respectively. Further study reveals that the contact stress coupled by thermal effect is obviously larger than the uncoupled and a larger load will result in higher contact pressure and produce more friction heat. As a result, the temperature on the friction interface rises to 100.5°C from 50.5°C when the load changes to 10 kN from 4 kN, and the wear rate increases to 2.45×10−3 μm/s from 1.60×10−4 μm/s. Moreover, the temperature and wear rate increase with the rise of slip ratio, and the growth rates decrease when the slip ratio reaches 0.3.","PeriodicalId":118501,"journal":{"name":"2018 9th International Conference on Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering (ICMAE)","volume":"14 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124187915","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It equalizes eight number of cells in a series. Voltage differences always exist between cells, therefore a battery management system (BMS) is required to ensure that all cells are equally charged or discharged and it increases the life cycle of the battery. An equalizing method is essential to achieve the best performance. A number of cell balancing method have been presented. Among them, inductor based balancing is faster compared to other methods such as Switched Capacitor Converter (SCC). The problem of conventional inductor based balancing method occurs when the energy transfers from the first cell to the last one and causes long time equalization, because the energy transfer is cell by cell. An alternative topology is proposed in this paper to improve the equalization time and the simulation results are performed to verify the feasibility of the system.","PeriodicalId":118501,"journal":{"name":"2018 9th International Conference on Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering (ICMAE)","volume":"49 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117153742","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The effects of strain rate, temperature and elongation on microstructure evolution of 5083 aluminum alloy were analyzed by single tensile test at high temperature on RG2000-20 universal thermal tensile tester and numerical analysis. The results show that the smaller the strain rate, the larger the grain size and volume fraction of dynamic recrystallization, the lower the deformation temperature, the smaller the dynamic recrystallization degree and the larger the cavity size. Dynamic recrystallization occurs only when the deformation degree exceeds the corresponding boundary value. When deformation reaches a certain degree, the completely dynamic recrystallization can be obtained, and the volume fraction and void radius will increase rapidly. Furthermore, a dynamic recrystallization mathematical model of 5083 aluminum alloy for high temperature plastic deformation was established by linear regression method and proved to be reliable in numerical analysis.","PeriodicalId":118501,"journal":{"name":"2018 9th International Conference on Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering (ICMAE)","volume":"6 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123228680","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The results reveal that the critical dewetting stress increases with increasing the particle-matrix interface fracture surface energy, or decreasing the radius of the filled solid particles. In other words, it is more difficult for the particle-matrix interface to fail as the critical dewetting stress increases. Finally, the conclusions obtained from the developed expression are consistent with the typical uniaxial tensile test results of hydroxyl-terminated poly butadiene (HTPB) propellant, which indicates that the developed expression of the critical dewetting stress is valid. Furthermore, the test results also indicate that the effects of loading temperature and strain rate on the dewetting are mainly due to the variations of the parameter in the critical dewetting stress with different loading conditions.","PeriodicalId":118501,"journal":{"name":"2018 9th International Conference on Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering (ICMAE)","volume":"46 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127135948","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
