GMR sensors have several advantages over existing sensing schemes, such as low cost, small form factor and simplicity. However, most applications of GMR sensors, so far, have been limited to RPM measurement, hard disk heads and magnetic probes, and where it has been used for positioning, details on signal and sensor conditioning are not given. We present details on the circuitry, its requirements to be able to achieve the desired resolution, the implementation challenges and their solutions. The sensor is characterized for various configurations, both in static and dynamic operation. This severely restricts the scope of 3D printing techniques. To be sure, 3D printing can build structures in many different materials including plastics, metals and ceramics. This severely Nevertheless, monolithic structures are the rule of the day and the prospect of 3D-printed multi-material structures are still a research problem. In this paper, we look further to expanding the capabilities of 3D printing to manufacturing full mechatronic systems - specifically electric motor and their supporting electronics. In the large-scale industrial network composed of multiple access points (APs), a delay time during roaming from one AP to another AP causes a discontinuation of the control of the iRBs. This roaming delay is usually induced by two processes; 1) scanning for a new AP and 2) authentication at the new AP. In order to avoid roaming delay, we propose a novel access scheme using pre-registration and time-synchronization. In this scheme, all APs operate in same channel with time-synchronization, and each iRBs are pre-registered to every AP before control. Firstly, a distributed time-varying formation control protocol using local neighboring state information is proposed. Then an algorithm to design the protocol with switching directed topologies is presented. Sufficient conditions for second-order swarm systems to achieve the predefined time-varying formation under the designed protocol are derived based on the piecewise Lyapunov function theory, where the formation feasibility constraint and the threshold for the dwell time are proposed, respectively. Moreover, an explicit expression of the formation reference function is obtained to describe the macroscopic trajectory of the whole time-varying formation under the influence of the switching directed topologies. Although the k-means clustering method has been widely used due to its simplicity and easiness of implementation, the performance of the method depends on the initial solution, having the drawback of getting locally optimal solutions. In this paper, to solve this issue, we have proposed a data clustering method based on the firefly algorithm combined with the k-means clustering method for data clustering. In our method, the firefly algorithm first attempts to find the quasioptimal solution. Then, given the solution obtained by the firefly algorithm as an initial solution, k-means method make data clustering converge to a final solution, or final clustered data set. The ME module assembled on 3D Printer (3DP) had different designs from traditional 3DP. The module for 3DP applications has superior characteristics, such as 1100°C-extrusion capability, high heating rate (930 °C/ 5 min), good thermal insulation, compact and light weight. Various Cu-based alloys, i.e. Cu-Zn alloys, were selected and prepared as the feedstock filaments for the ME 3DP. Oxidation kinetics of 8020 Cu-Zn alloy, pure Cu, and other metallic alloys were investigated and compared to that in N2 atmosphere. In general, medical images consist of many pure black and white points. In the previous studies, it may need a lot of data as a location map to reconstruct the watermark and the cover image. To solve this problem, we present a new method to record the location map. We use two bits for each block to record the information of histogram shifting and one bit to denote the change of each pixel value on the cover image. The purpose of the former two bits is to avoid wrong information in the extracting process, while that of the latter one is to avoid overflow and underflow. Generally, the power source such as photovoltaic array and the fuel cell stack have low voltage output because of that a high voltage step-up converter is required to boost the voltage much higher than the voltage level for front-end application. The efficiency and voltage gain of conventional dc-dc converter are limit due to the parasitic components. In order to solve the above mentioned problem, the proposed converter is based on active-clamp technique and the converter is the combination of a forward converter and a flyback converter. Multiple secondary windings can be employed for low profile design and help to reduce high transformer copper loss and high output rectifiers conduction losses. The system is composed of two permanent magnet synchronous machines in addition to the internal combustion engine all mechanically combined using a power split device. The novelty of this model is to use exclusively basic Simulink blocks resulting in a less execution time especially advantageous during implementation. Furthermore, the new modeling approach is focused on optimal control of both engine and electric machines in wide speed region. The recommendation functions of Apps will help users to efficiently find related products and subsequently the user satisfaction will increase. This study aims to analyze pairwise comparison data using association rules to help the APP developer establish the recommendation system. The data comes from the members' comparison records from a new cars database App developed in Taiwan, i.e. NewCarsDB (www.newcarsdb.com). We collected a sample of 40 car brands and 870 vehicles comparison records during 2015/1/30 to 2015/4/2 with 30,867 car pairwise comparison records. This study develops two metrics, i.e. (1) width (quantity of cars which have associated products) and (2) average depth (each car with quantity of associate) to evaluate the results of different thresholds. Results show that (1) Support adjustment has influence on width; (2) The confidence adjustment under thresholds lower than 10% has little impact on width but their impact on the average depth are not negligible. The results can be used as references for associating products and can also be used in recommending a new product to potentially interested members.
