The village of Rantau Baru is on the coast of the Kampar River, surrounded by swamp and peat forest areas, so the majority of the population work as traditional fishermen. The income level of traditional fishing communities fluctuates greatly depending on the fishing season. Conditions The difference in the fishing season will affect the level of welfare. One effort that can be done provides other knowledge supplies to the community to use it as a side livelihood. One form of skill that may be given is the cultivation of natural eels because it is in line with the profession of the people of Rantau Baru Village as traditional fishermen. This training was attended by people from various occupational backgrounds, such as fishermen, laborers, entrepreneurs, temporary employees, and farmers. However, the participants who participated in the training were dominated by work as fishermen. The material provided in this training is the biology and behavior of eels by 28%, cultivation techniques by 27%, feeding techniques to eels by 27%, and post-harvest and marketing by 18%. After the training activities were given, there was an increase in participants' knowledge, excellent (69%) and sufficient (16%). The results indicate the success of participants in absorbing the material provided by the resource persons. The success in this training was also indicated by the evaluation results of 69.23% of participants stating that they understood well and 30.77% of participants stated that they understood. The success of delivering the material cannot be separated from the presentation of exciting material from the resource persons. The questionnaire filled out by the participants stated that 69.23% of participants stated that the delivery of the material was engaging, and 30.77% of the total participants stated that the delivery of the material was exciting. This eel cultivation training was also very beneficial for the participants, namely 84.62% of the total participants stated this training was beneficial. While 15.38% said, this training was valuable. Therefore attempts to overcome the problem become important. The objective of the study was to provide and promote basic knowledge on the importance of mangrove ecosystem to the environment, especially to the village community of Buruk Bakul. Further, the extension also aimed at providing physical, ecological and economical use and benefit that people obtain from the mangrove ecosystem. The participants of total 30 persons, with background of farmer, fishermen, local leader, young leader, and of non-government organization “Sekat Bakau” of the Buruk Bakul were trained. Pre-survey were done to find out the main issue on coastal environmental threats in the village area. The extension were carried out through class presentation, interactive discussion and demonstration of mangrove plantation in the field. The effectiveness of the extension were evaluated to the participants through items in questioner which evaluate the change in knowledge and understanding on the ecological, economical and physical function of mangrove ecosystem. Apparently, the level of knowledge were categorize into very good (60%),good (30%) and fair (10%). Based on that, the extension were categorized success.. The impact on the implementation in the field were that of knowledge dissemination to young group in technical nursery and planting of mangrove trees. The purpose of this service activity is to provide an understanding to teachers and village officials about the importance of soft skills in improving teacher professionalism and service quality. In addition, outbound activities are also carried out which are useful as personality development. This service is carried out through: lecture and demonstration methods (Practice). The target group for this service is 22 people consisting of elementary school teachers, kindergarten teachers and village officials. The results of this service can increase the knowledge of participants about soft skills and personality. As such, environmentally driven diseases could be minimized and avoided. The extention were done in desa Bukit Pedusunan, Kuantan Mudik Districtm Kuantan Singingi Regency in June-September 2021. The participants of total 35 persons, consists of local government, women group and young representative of each dusun within the village of Bukit Pedusunan. Pre-orservation were conducted to find main issue on environmental threats in the village. The extention were done through class presentation, interactive discussion and demonstration. The effectiveness of the extention were evaluated to the participants thorugh items in questionare which evaluate the change in knowledge. The level of understanding were categorize into very good, good and unsatisfied. Apparently, 28,6 % of the participants understand very good on the materials, while 45,7% categorized good and 8.6% unsatisfied. Accordingly, the extention were categorized success and showed that the knowledge of the participants increased. The impact on the implementation in the field were that of knowledge dissemination to womens group on preparation health food of fish meat base. For this reason, the Service Team conveyed directly to the community that the waste of the banana stems, if collected, could be used as a useful additive for drilling oil wells, although this is the key to the results of tests conducted at the Petroleum Engineering Laboratory, where the additives are obtained from banana trees. has good quality in covering rock cavities, so as to prevent mud loss during the drilling process. The method used in this community service activity is interactive socialization, discussion and question and answer using supporting facilities and directly to the people of Pandau Jaya Village by providing examples of experimental results that have been carried out at the Petroleum Engineering Laboratory. So that the public can know the process of making additives from banana tree trunks and making drilling mud with the use of these additives. This community service activity with PKM BUMDes Sumber Berkah partners is carried out with counseling methods and basic training to recognize the steps for preparing BUMDes SOPs following SOP principles to improve the quality of BUMDes services. However, more intense human intervention has brought about recently an effect on the sustainability of the ecosystem in term of ecological, social economical perspective. Danau Timbang Bunga Pengantin of Sungai Sorik, were developed for tourist destination especially for water attraction activities, floating restaurant, and fish cage culture. As such, the ecological burden stressors increased significantly. The present study aimed at promoting awareness and participation of local people on conservation and protection of the ecosystem from unsustainable uses, by attending group extension in classroom and observation outdoor. The results showed that 60% of the community were just aware of the effect of certain activities done to the sustainability of the lake. Responses of the participants in the classroom categorized high and curious to participate on the conservation of the lake. Therefore, it is necessary to socialize the dangers of plastic wrapping for human health. The purpose of this service activity is to increase public understanding and knowledge about the use of plastics and dyes in food, to re-promote the manufacture and consumption of tambul or traditional, environmentally friendly snacks.This service is carried out by using (1) the method used to convey the main points of material relating to plastic wrapping and its dangers to health, leaf wrapping and its benefits for health. (2) practice, making: pulut kucung, lopek luwo and guwajik. The target groups for this service are village officials, mothers and adolescents in Kampung Baru Sentajo, which connects 30 people. The result of this service is to increase public knowledge about the dangers of using plastics and dyes in food. In addition, the local community will reactivate the tambul wrapping using banana leaves. This counseling activity was attended by 30 participants with occupational backgrounds such as teachers, civil servants, farmers, journalists, housewives, and fishermen. Meanwhile, their education level starts from elementary school level to bachelor degree. Analysis of measuring activity achievement used descriptive analysis and descriptive statistical calculations. The descriptive statistical calculation uses the ratio of participants to items taken with the total extension participants who attend as a community in Kampung Baru Sentajo, Kuantan Singingi Regency. The analysis results are presented in the form of a pie graph. The results of the evaluation of the activities showed that 89.9% of the people represented by the counseling participants who attended stated that the existence of rivers is very important for life. Meanwhile, another 11.1%, the existence of the river is important for themselves and for the livelihood of many people. As many as 66.7% of them realized that the river in their environment had changed greatly and 33.3% the condition of the river had changed. As much as 55.6% of all participants who attended this counseling activity, the material presented were useful. While 38.9% is very useful. The interesting thing was that there were 5.6% who stated that extension activities were useless. Even though there were 5.6% of participants who took part in the counseling activities provided were useless, all participants of the event had interesting (50%) and very interesting (50%) content. The hope of the participants is that this counseling can be carried out in every village in Kuantan Singingi Regency, especially in villages that are central to unlicensed gold mining (PETI) by involving all village officials.
