As a result, the experience in planning and designing such quarries is lesser than in designing the quarries for construction. Limestone from \"Vijenac\" deposit is an industrial mineral raw material, which is used for the production of soda (light, heavy and bicarbonate), cement, nitrogen fertilizer named \"KAN\", and is also used in construction and road construction. The use of limestone as a mineral raw material in industrial production requires more attention to the chemical composition of limestone than to the physical-mechanical characteristics. The paper presents a solution to this problem by creating a block of models of exploitation reserves of limestone, which enables foresight of the chemical composition of limestone, both in each floor partially and during the period of exploitation. The block model was created on the basis of the updated state of works, the projected contour of limestone surface mine and the exploration works' database. The block model uses the following: CaCO3, CaO, SiO2, Al2O3, Fe2O3, bulk density, category of reserves and the purpose of the mineral raw material, i.e. for industry or construction. The block model analysis has determined that the northern part of the mine, from the floor E-612.5 to E-525 meters a.s.l., does not meet industrial requirements in terms of chemical composition of limestone. Therefore, limestone from this part of the surface mine will be used for construction purposes. These quantities of limestone are about 2.6x106 m3. Limestone from the southern part of the surface mine meets the industry requirements. In order to solve this problem efficiently and as soon as possible, it was necessary to determine the factors on site and to provide advice for urgent remediation measures, i.e. the activities that should be undertaken in order to stabilize the slopes permanently. This paper will briefly present three activated slopes, their statuses and the advice for the activities on stabilisation. The most difficult task was to determine the trigger of the landslides occurrence, which was, unfortunately, mostly of an anthropogenic character, either due to the impact of structure to the stability or due to untimely stabilisation after the change of balance force in the slope. The first landslide was activated in the Obarak settlement, at the very entrance to town Goražde, on a slope above private building. The lanslide occured during construction as a consequence of a slope cut performed without any subsequent securing. Groundwater and surface water, whose presence in the area has been known since before, have a significant impact on landslide's activation. The second case is in the Pijesak settlement. In detailed research, it has been determined that the trigger is water reservoir located at the top of the slope, behind the house. Unused, excess water seeped over the basin and slope and thus activated the landslide. The third landslide is in the Čitluk settlement, where a large water spring is located above the building with a flow over 1 l/s. The water is collected by the reservoirs poorly. A significant quantity of water flows down the slope uncontrollably. The water saturates the landslide, triggering its movement towards the building at the bottom of the slope. Detailed engineering geological and geomechanical research was conducted in 1981 and 1988, and the additional in 2016 and 2019. Based on the results of engineering geological mapping of the terrain, exploratory drilling and laboratory tests, the heterogeneous geological-lithological structure of the terrain was determined. In the area of the coal deposit, when it comes to recent engineering-geological processes in the eastern part, where the elevation of the roof of the coal seam is closer to the surface, landslides and smaller ditches are noticeable, as well as colapses (subsidence) in the southeastern and southern part. One of the causes of slope instability in the eastern part of the deposit is a very pronounced angle of the existing slope. The influence of piles as supports on the structure is replaced by elastic supports. In the numerical model, the supports are modeled as elastic springs. To compare the calculation results, a system based on rigid and deformable supports was analyzed. The analysis of the system was performed according to the first order theory and the second order theory, which introduces geometric nonlinearity into the calculation. The process of soil modeling around a pile with replacement springs is presented. The applicability of the described procedure is shown in a numerical example. Numerical calculation requires numerical modeling with description of geometry, load, boundary conditions and material properties, as well as faithful simulation of excavation phase and substructure of underground structure. At the same time, pollution most often occurs in a relatively narrow zone of the construction site, as well as along access roads. For the purpose of completing the highway on the southern and south-eastern branch of Corridor X in the Republic of Serbia, an extensive program of protection and monitoring of various environmental parameters has been made, which, among other things, included soil quality.
