Three rural properties with a semi-intensive production system were studied. Weight, age, race, Body Condition Score (BCS) and reproductive fitness response were collected. The evaluated animals had a weight greater than or equal to 280 kg/bw and aged over 12 months. The animals were divided according to age: group I- Animals between 12/24 months of age and group II- Animals between 24/36 months of age. The samples received (300 copies) were destined to a first spectral reading in an NIR Perten instrument. Within this reading, 107 samples were selected, classified as (in natura samples read in NIR Perten). Then, the reference analyzes were carried out simultaneously with a second reading again in a NIR Perten instrument, classified as (dry and ground samples read in NIR Perten) and a third reading, in a NIR FOSS instrument, classified as (dry and ground samples read in NIR FOSS). Models for crude protein (CP) and in vitro digestibility of dry matter (IVDMD) and organic matter (IVOMD) were developed for both instruments with the three spectral readings performed. So, this study aims to relate those forces in a Holstein population under selection for superior milk production. Inbreeding coefficients was calculated considering 3 generations, after the individual inbreeding coefficient was calculated, inbred (7.92±2.72) and non-inbred group (0.46±0.38) were formed. The genetic variance was higher for the inbred group and for the residual variance was lower. As result, those variance changes resulted in higher heritability for all traits analyzed for the inbred group. However, the salinity present in soils and irrigation waters can hinder the production process and generate economic damage. With the aim of selecting soybean genotypes tolerant to different sodium chloride (NaCl) conditions, 5 soybean genotypes were sown in rolls germitest paper with NaCl solutions at concentrations of 00, 40 and 80 mM. The evaluated characteristics were: final seedling stand, length of root and aerial part of the plant, fresh weight, dry weight of cotyledons, root and aerial part, percentage of germination, index of speed of germination and average time of germination. The design used was completely randomized, in a 3x5 factorial arrangement. The TMG 2383 genotype stood out from the others in the presence of salinity with a greater growth compared to the tested genotypes. The soybean varieties SYN 16861 IPRO, M8644 IPRO, TMG 2383 IPRO and NS8383 RR showed a certain level of resistance to saline stress. The work of the dog and his partner, a military firefighter, was carried out in 2021. The Dutch Shepherd, female, four years old, medium-sized and muscular, short and hard coat, brindle coloration, with a black mask and erect ears, weighed 25 kg and had an intelligent and shrewd expression. During training, the dog must learn to work free, using the senses of smell, sight and hearing, have good obedience control, have good socialization with people and animals and work in different environments. This type of operation is official and several government entities participate in it. The objective of this work was to promote actions on animal welfare, responsible ownership and control of zoonoses in order to train multipliers of this knowledge. After responding to a procedure to guarantee data on prior notions, students from public institutions in Manaus attended interactive lectures and received gifts for participating. 455 students participated (356 from elementary school, 99 from high school and college). This study aimed to evaluate the initial growth of seedlings of Adenanthera pavonina L., in response to different volumes and types of containers tested. The experiment was conducted in a completely randomized design, in the forest nursery of the Federal University of Amazonas, Manaus, AM. The treatments corresponded to polyethylene bags of 2 dm³, 1 dm³ and rigid polyethylene of 0.299 dm³. The variables of growth and biomass were analyzed. Several studies have been carried out to evaluate the main acute-phase proteins involved in the subclinical mastitis process and their kinetics during infection by different pathogens. Almeida","doi":"10.32406/v6n3/2023/31-42/agrariacad","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.32406/v6n3/2023/31-42/agrariacad","url":null,"abstract":"Oxidative stress occurs as a result of an increase in oxidants and/or a reduction of antioxidants in the body, causing oxidation of cellular constituents and cellular dysfunction, which can lead to premature cell death. This study aimed to evaluate serum and red blood cell (RBC) oxidative stress in dogs with acanthocytosis. Sixteen dogs with acanthocytosis confirmed on blood smear, regardless of the associated pathological condition, and 17 healthy dogs without clinical and laboratorial alterations were selected. Complete blood counts (CBC) were performed by an automated cell counter, biochemical and oxidative stress analyzes were performed by an automated photocolorimeter. Dogs with acanthocytosis showed lower RBC, hemoglobin, hematocrit and mean corpuscular hemoglobin concentration (MCHC), and higher red cell distribution width (RDW) compared with healthy dogs. On the leukogram, higher concentrations of band neutrophils and lower numbers of lymphocytes were observed in dogs with acanthocytosis. On serum biochemical parameters, a significant increase in ALP activity, cholesterol and globulin levels, and decreased albumin concentration were observed in dogs with acanthocytosis. Regarding oxidative stress parameters, dogs with acanthocytosis showed lower serum total antioxidant capacity (TAC) by cupric reduction (TAC-CUPRAC) and higher TAC by ferric reduction (TAC-FRAP), total oxidant capacity (TOC) and lipid peroxidation, while RBC showed higher TAC by ABTS cation reduction alone (TAC-ABTS) and associated with peroxidase (TAC-ABTS+HRP), TAC-CUPRAC, TOC and lipid peroxidation compared with those of control dogs.
