The rationale for the use of aggregated data is given. Within the framework of method, an algorithm was developed for determining the emissions of CO 2 eq, SO 2 eq and PO 4 eq in the production of elements of wind turbines and wind farms. Classification of elements of wind turbines by parameters and technical characteristics of elements with subsequent division into groups is given. Formulas for calculating emissions of pollutant at the stages of the wind farms life cycle are given and substantiated. Within the framework of the method testing, emissions of CO 2 eq, SO 2 eq and PO 4 eq were calculated during the life cycle of two onshore wind farms with an installed capacity of 70 MW with wind turbines, differing in the parameters and technical characteristics of the elements. Calculated emissions of pollutants, which can be prevented when choosing the wind farms as power sources and determined the environmental effect of their use when comparing with thermal power plants.","PeriodicalId":11462,"journal":{"name":"Ecology and Industry of Russia","volume":"65 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-10-17","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"136077659","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It was found that that the use of acid leaching followed by precipitation of sparingly soluble compounds with ammonium hydroxide leads to the production of materials with an iron content of 55% by weight according to elemental analysis. The samples were found to have higher specific surface area (154.8–155.7 m 2 /g) and porosity (0.275–0.311 cm 3 /g) and higher catalytic activity in the CO oxidation reaction compared to untreated red mud. It was confirmed that impregnation of the surface of refined products with copper oxide in the amount of 5 % by mass in terms of metal significantly increases the catalytic activity.","PeriodicalId":11462,"journal":{"name":"Ecology and Industry of Russia","volume":"28 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-10-17","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"136077661","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The initial compositions and transformations occurring during the firing are considered. The best composition was chosen according to the results of laboratory studies, and based on that, ceramic brick was studied in real production conditions. The possibility of using mining and metallurgical industry wastes (dolomite and cake) as coloring pigments in the production of ceramic bricks has been theoretically substantiated and experimentally proven. Magnesium and strontium carbonates, along with calcium carbonates, participate in the formation of multicomponent systems, on the basis of which it is possible to obtain wall ceramics that meet modern requirements.","PeriodicalId":11462,"journal":{"name":"Ecology and Industry of Russia","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-09-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"45557526","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The features of distribution and concentration of mobile forms of elements – toxicants in soils of different functional zones of the city are revealed. It has been established that the main pollutants of the soils of Svirsk are As, Zn, Pb, Cr, Fe and Cd, which have high accumulation rates. Mainly high–contrast polyelement geochemical anomalies Fe–Pb–As–Zn– Cd–Mn and Cu with extremely dangerous pollution levels are formed in the soil cover of industrial zones. The soils of a private residential area are characterized by local contrasting four–element anomalies Zn–As–Cr–Mn with a dangerous and extremely dangerous degree of pollution, multi–storey residential sector – two-element low-contrast anomalies Cr–Cu with a dangerous and moderately dangerous ecological situation.","PeriodicalId":11462,"journal":{"name":"Ecology and Industry of Russia","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-09-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"47617148","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It was noted that this know-how reduces nitrogen oxides and oxidizes carbon monoxide and hydrocarbons to safe compounds at moderate temperatures without additional reagents (ammonia, urea). It was proven that catalytic blocks structured with corrugated flat metal meshes provide the highest catalyst activity, and the best carrier is macosatin fabric. It was concluded that the described catalysts are characterized by high internal mass exchange rate in combination with low hydraulic resistance, high permeability, and the possibility of being used in dusty flows, which makes them very promising for treating various flue and exhaust gases.","PeriodicalId":11462,"journal":{"name":"Ecology and Industry of Russia","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-09-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"46259981","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
