The main goal of this paper is to develop a fuzzy clustering algorithm having application for classifying electronic nose data. In this paper, a two step clustering algorithm is proposed. In first step k-means algorithm of clustering was applied on each data dimension of data under investigation and in next step, fuzzy entropy of each dimension was calculated. The fuzzy entropy is calculated on membership value of the data points. Labeling of final data class was performed on the basis of fuzzy entropy, which improves accuracy of the traditional k-means algorithm. This is because no two irises are alike, not between identical twins, or even between the left and right eye of the same individual. Irises are also stable; unlike other identifying characteristics that can change with age, the pattern and textural details of a individual's iris is fully formed by ten months of age and remains the same for the duration of his lifetime. This paper proposes multi-unit biometric fusion recognition system. In this paper we have fused matching scores from left and right iris of a person using the gray level co-occurrence matrix (GLCM) for textural feature extraction. From the proposed fusion framework there has been significant improvement in the performance compared to Unimodal iris recognition system. Conventional phase stepping technique by using a pair of quadrature signals cannot resolve rapid velocity changes and sub-fringe phenomena accurately in most of the velocimetry data. In this report a practical analysis method based on the Continuous Wavelet Transform (CWT) is presented to overcome these difficulties. CWT uses an adaptive time window to estimate the instantaneous frequency of signals. We begin by reviewing the CWT and the time-frequency localization properties of wavelets. The instantaneous frequencies of signal are accurately determined by finding the ridge in the scalogram of the CWT and then are converted to target velocity according to Doppler effects. A performance comparison between the CWT and phase stepping technique is demonstrated by a plate impact experimental data of Al-2024T4 material. Digital integrated circuits, often represented as Boolean functions, can be best-manipulated graphically in the form of Binary Decision Diagrams (BDD). Reduced-ordered binary decision diagrams (ROBDDs) are data structures for representation and manipulation of Boolean functions. The variable ordering largely influences the size of the BDD, varying from linear to exponential. In this paper, an evolutionary algorithm named genetic algorithm has been proposed for minimization of shared ordered BDDs by finding the optimal input variable ordering that aims to minimize the node count using evolutionary algorithm. It is felt that this issue will be under control if somebody could properly monitor/track the individual trains. But this is not possible by individuals manually and so tracking of trains using a special device integrated in the train seems to be a possibility. This integrated device would then warn the train driver to drive safely and also enable periodically updating its location status in a remote controller. In this paper we propose such a real time train tracking system using the global positioning system (GPS) and communication of information through Ethernet Concepts. The system proposed enables communicating the real time information about the train position and also its health conditions based on few sensors attached/integrated. The proposed system would also provide with the complete information about the different trains running, in the video terminal of the controller, using the available internet facilities and the Google mapping Concepts. This proposed system uses a Arduino - A Electronic open Source hardware which provides the complete computation capability for this work. It is felt that this proposed system would provide a solution for a big organization like Indian railways to enable monitoring all their train movements in one place by using internet or through various LAN networks. Spacing between the antenna array elements and the corresponding phase - shift is given in the input of the Tsukamoto fuzzy logic controller and corresponding values of amplitude is obtained at the output of the controller. The high dynamic power consumption is because of the charging and discharging of the load capacitor and also because of the unwanted short-circuits current from Vdd to ground. The proposed three transistor saturated NMOS inverter reduces the short-circuit current and hence reduces the overall power consumption. The proposed inverter reduces the average power consumption by 35% for any input signal of frequency less than or equal to 1 MHz and by 15% for any input signal up to around 10MHz. But the power consumption slowly increases when the input frequency goes beyond 100 MHz. Leaves are the key components of a plant. Here we have proposed a method for the extraction of shape, color and texture features from leaf images and training an artificial neural network (ANN) classifier to identify the exact leaf class. The key issue lies in the selection of proper image input features to attain high efficiency with less computational complexity. We tested the accuracy of the network with different combination of image features. The test results on 63 leaf images reveals that this method gives 94.4% accuracy with a minimum of eight input features. This approach is more promising for leaf identification systems that have minimum input and demand less computation time. Tasar cocoons are used as the raw material for silk production. In sericulture industry one of the most important perspectives is disease free egg production for formation of healthy cocoons. Out of the many different diseases, Pebrine is the most destructive one which spreads transovarially and makes huge loss in Tasar silk industry. As of now, the egg laying moths are inspected manually by field experts using a low cost student microscope with 675X magnification in day light. Problems with the present methodology are of many folds - lack of field experts in remote places, tedious and time consuming process in case of visual inspection, insufficient light in cloudy atmosphere, lack of authenticity due to manual inspection etc. In this paper we have proposed a motorized microscopic image analysis solution which overcomes the above shortcomings. Positioning of the slide has been controlled using 2 nos of stepper motors and focusing of microscope has been done by introducing another stepper motor. Slides are prepared by taking smear of mother moth from its lower part of the abdomen and mixing with medium concentration (0.5 gm/ 100 ml water) of K2CO3 solution. Slides are placed manually under the microscope and images are captured using a low cost digital camera placed on the eyepiece of the microscope. Image analysis software has been developed to identify the Pebrine using different morphological features. More than 200 images have been analyzed using developed solution & the results have been validated with the human experts.
