Liao","doi":"10.1109/ISAPE.2006.353586","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.1109/ISAPE.2006.353586","url":null,"abstract":"Based on the Ansoft 3D electromagnetic field software HFSS and the typical lumped equivalent-circuit model of spiral inductors on silicon (SIOS) for RF integrated circuits (RFICs), the comparison study of single-layered and double-layered differential symmetric circular spiral inductors has been given. The numerical analyses showed that the former can give better results of quality factor (QF) and self-resonant frequency (SRF) and the L value of the former can satisfied the nH level requirements where the Q factor obtains its highest value. Experimental results showed that the former can gives a 50.5% increase for the maximum Q value and 164.5% increase for the SRF whereas the latter can supply over 3 times larger L value. The simulation results have good agreements with the theoretical analyses. In this paper, CBFM combined with the domain decomposition technique is used to calculate the radar cross sections from 2D electrically large conducting cylinder and dielectric cylinder. The interferometric phase can be expressed in the form of a sum of these two kinds of effects through the derivation. The influences of the flat earth and the terrain height to the interferometric phase are simulated, which are in accordance with the theoretical analysis. And it is applied to calculate absorption coefficients, scattering coefficients and phase function of electromagnetic radiation by large fogdrops. The shapes of fogdrops are assumed to be spherical. Comparison between the results which are computed by using Mie code, Monte Carlo code and Gom separately indicates that the agreement is good. The conducting wire and surface are modeled by straight segments and planar triangular patches for numerical purposes. The scattering parameters of the circulator are computed in two steps. As a first step, the field distribution in the shielded microstrip is calculated in the two-dimensional (2-D) FEM. In second step, the three-dimensional (3-D) Vector-FEM is used to model the inhomogeneous structure of the circulator, and FEM field are matched with the field of microstrip at the 3 interfaces. So a sparse matrix equation is obtained, and it is solved with the SSOR-BICG algorithm. Numerical results of the circulator are presented and compared when the ferrite disk radius changed. The design criterion and some design consideration for short wave active receiving antenna is given. The method to measure the noise figure of the active receiving antenna is proposed. It is simple efficient and no extra request for the detection performance of the measuring instrument.
