The controller combines a TSK-type recurrent fuzzy neural network (TRFNN) adaptive inverse model feedforward controller with a stochastic adaptive model reference predictive controller (SAMRPC). The former is used to provide command-feedforward control and to improve transient performance, while the SAMRPC controller is employed to eliminate any error caused by disturbances or uncertainties. Numerical simulations for controlling a highly nonlinear process reveal disturbance rejection and set-point tracking performance of the proposed control method. The results clearly indicate effectiveness and merit of the proposed method.","PeriodicalId":113116,"journal":{"name":"2012 International Conference on System Science and Engineering (ICSSE)","volume":"19 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-08-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129801412","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Covering up to 20GHz bandwidth, the RF NMOS switch with impedance transformation networks (ITNs) obtains low insertion loss (IL), low I/O reflection coefficient and improved linearity by virtue of positive drain bias. The front-end is characterized by a low noise amplifier (LNA) as well as a down-conversion mixer. With the employment of noise cancellation the front-end achieves broadband matching and low noise. By investigating distortion cancellation, the up-converted mixer obtains broadband high linearity. The VCO is of LC complementary version, from which the secondary effects have been found to release phase noise without more power consumption. The RF switch exhibits worst -14dB reflection coefficient from DC to 20GHz with insertion loss better than -1.35dB. T/R isolation is higher than 30dB while the 1dB desensitization point is better than 18.8dBm even with Si-based substrate. The front-end obtain -10dB input matching over desired band with conversion gain larger than 20dB. The minimum double sideband noise figure (NF) and IIP3 is 7.9dB, 8.58dBm, respectively. The up-converted mixer attains conversion loss better than 5dB with in-band IIP3 ranged from 21.28dBm to 34.86dBm, and the noise figure is less than 8.2dB. The VCO shows the phase noise better than -122dBc at 1MHz offset., and the turning range covers the whole detection band, given that the output power is 4.7dBm. Such a co-design consumes total 39.6mW from not larger than standard 1.2V supply.","PeriodicalId":113116,"journal":{"name":"2012 International Conference on System Science and Engineering (ICSSE)","volume":"34 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-08-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131832886","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This control system aims to provide comfortable ride during the velocity control of wheelchair. To this end, a passenger model which consists of passenger's physical frame and seating condition is firstly derived for designing the comfort driving pattern. Through fuzzy modeling of the passenger's posture behavior, the design problem is converted into a passenger's sway minimization problem such that the optimal fuzzy control methodology via linear matrix inequality (LMI) can be utilized to design the optimal pattern of driving acceleration. The simulation results and experimental evaluation demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed control system.","PeriodicalId":113116,"journal":{"name":"2012 International Conference on System Science and Engineering (ICSSE)","volume":"24 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-08-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133724113","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The mobile robot is moving with three omni-wheels which are driven by DC-motors; the control center is a notebook along with microprocessors BS2p and PIC16F84A. We use image processing technique to recognize the people (master) to be followed and fuzzy logic to control the moving of the mobile robot. Two infrared LEDs are tied in the back of the master and a camera is installed on the robot, then the robot can recognize the LEDs by the camera to “see” where its master is. Moreover, there is an infrared sensor on the top of the robot to estimate the distance between the master and the robot. There are two infrared sensors installed on the right-front and left-front of the robot to detect the obstacle on the way. Three omni-wheels are driven by motors and the motors are controlled by the fuzzy logic to achieve forward, backward moving, and turning. Based on the fuzzy controls on the motors with the aids of adequate sensors, the mobile robot can follow the master with fixed distance and avoid obstacle simultaneously. Finally, a practical experiment is given to demonstrate the performance of the robot.","PeriodicalId":113116,"journal":{"name":"2012 International Conference on System Science and Engineering (ICSSE)","volume":"9 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-08-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114331828","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
