Wound healing is a complex interaction between cells, cytokines, mediators, and blood vessels as a natural physiological response to tissue damage. TNF-α has a crucial role in the wound healing process, facilitating body immunity, immune cell mobilization, fibroblast cell proliferation, keratinocytes, and growth factor expression. Although TNF-alpha has benefits in the early stages of wound healing, excessively high levels or a sustained inflammatory response can lead to problems, such as excessive scar tissue formation or blockages, which can impede the wound healing process. This study utilized the PRISMA-ScR (Scoping Review) protocol. A review was conducted of articles discussing the Role of TNF-Alpha in the Wound Healing Process: Molecular and Clinical Perspectives within the last 10 years. Literature search in this study using PubMed, ScienceDirect, Elsivier and Google Scolar databases Search using English, abstract and full text. After searching with the keywords: The Role of TNF-Alpha, 19,022 articles were found. The search continued using the keyword The Role of TNF-Alpha in the Wound Healing found 346 articles. The last search using the keyword The Role of TNF-Alpha in the Wound Healing: Molecular and Clinical found 26 articles. TNF-α plays an important role in the early stages of cutaneous wound healing, significantly delayed after day 3, but not by day 7. TNF-α has a crucial role in the early stages of skin wound healing, and its administration is recognized to have a positive impact on the healing response, which may pave the way for innovative strategies to address chronic skin wound healing problems.","PeriodicalId":112625,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal RSMH Palembang","volume":"56 9","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-04-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140655539","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

To meet expected service standards, hospitals should have effective procurement of medical equipment. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of utilities in the use of medical devices in supporting services at RSUP Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Palembang, with descriptive analytical research using quantitative methods with a cross sectional research design. The research results show that there is a significant difference between the Break Event Point (BEP) value before and after purchasing the Cobalt 60 aircraft from the target of 90 patients per day to 87 patients per day, and there is a significant difference between the BEP value before and after purchasing the Precise LINAC aircraft from the target of 70 patients per day to 55 patients per day. Based on the calculation of the effectiveness and efficiency of the utility of using the Cobalt 60 and Linac Precise aircraft, it can be concluded that the utility of using the Cobalt 60 aircraft at RSUP Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Hospital Palembang is considered ineffective (50%) but efficient (70.88%) with a BEP value of 5.5 years; while the utility of using the Linac Precise aircraft at RSUP Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Hospital Palembang is considered effective (113%) and efficient (51.77%) with a BEP value of 4.1 years. The data above shows that hospitals experienced slight losses due to the Covid-19 pandemic because the number of patients using medical equipment did not reach the target, but hospitals were able to manage expenditure well so that there was a decrease in the efficiency ratio every year in the procurement of medical equipment. \u0000 ","PeriodicalId":112625,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal RSMH Palembang","volume":"5 10","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-04-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140653837","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This study aimed to describe the diagnosis of osteogenesis imperfecta. A 23-year-old man came to the rheumatology polyclinic of Dr. Mohammad Hoesin General Hospital Palembang with a complaint of recurrent fractures since ± 17 years ago. The patient also complained that the hearing in the left ear was slowly decreasing. The patient's right thigh was still pinned 2 years ago, but after being controlled by orthopedics, it was said that the bones were still not fused. Then the patient was referred to the rheumatology polyclinic for further examination and management. On examination, the patient was 145 cm tall and weighed 40 kg. He had blue-gray sclera, triangular facial appearance, right leg length 86 cm, left leg length 78 cm, blue sclera, and scoliosis, while secondary sex growth was within normal limits. From the examinations of bone survey and bone age, it was found osteoporotic bone structure, scoliosis, plate-screw in the middle 1/3 of the right femur, fracture union of the femur, bowing of the left femur, BMD Z-Score -3.0 means very low compared to the same age and gender. Management is more focused on supportive therapy with the aim of minimizing the occurrence of fractures, minimizing disability, and helping people with osteogenesis imperfecta to be independent and maintain overall health. The goal of orthopedic management is to treat osteogenesis imperfecta with fractures and prevent or correct bone deformity. In conclusion, osteogenesis imperfecta is a complex hereditary disease characterized by striking clinical variability necessitating a logical classification system. Disease management requires multidisciplinary experts and further research on therapeutic approaches such as bisphosphonates.","PeriodicalId":112625,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal RSMH Palembang","volume":"25 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-04-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117175554","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
