For this purpose, the study collected data by administering self-esteem, depression, interpersonal problem, and SNS addiction tendency inventories to 390 college students. The collected data was analyzed by structural equation model, and Bootstrapping was applied to verify the significance of mediating effects. The findings were as follows: first, the self-esteem of college students had significant effects on their depression, interpersonal problems, and SNS addiction tendency, but had no direct effects on their SNS addiction tendency; secondly, depression had no mediating effects on the relationship between self-esteem and SNS addiction tendency, whereas interpersonal problems had partial mediating effects on their relationship; and finally, the dual mediating effects of depression and interpersonal problems had significant effects on the relationship between self-esteem and SNS addiction tendency.
